Endless Winter: My Camp Upgrades Infinitely

Chapter 1608: Chapter 506: Coordinated Attack, Zhongyang Taken by Strategy

“The storeroom is on fire, it’s on fire…”

“The storeroom is aflame, it’s aflame.”

“Everyone shut up, shut up now, no more shouting!”

“It’s a raging fire, the storeroom is burning, all the food is gone!”

“The Xia Army has already broken in, run for your lives, run!”

“The Xia Army will slaughter the whole camp, run…”

………

In a wooden house behind the storeroom in the camp, Lu Yun dressed in white with sword in hand, along with Han Li and six junior brothers, led three hundred people crouching on the second floor, listening to the noisy screams outside with excitement in their eyes.

It’s not just the storeroom; the surrounding camp buildings, even residential areas, the entire camp is covered in smoke and chaos inflames the scene.

The sound of fighting near the east gate had already put most of the city in a state of extreme tension, and this sudden fire completely ignited their internal panic and fear.

Obviously, Yang Qin had reserved some armed forces inside the camp, and these soldiers began to grab people everywhere, trying to put an end to the chaos.

However, they couldn’t even find the source, how could they stop it?

“Heh, those people, they’re really shouting their lungs out!”

“No need to fight, just handling this will earn them military merit, a dream opportunity they couldn’t pass up, so naturally they’d shout harder.”

“It’s chaotic now, Yang Qin indeed has courage, actually transferring seven or eight out of ten Earth-digging Realm fighters to help defend the city, which benefits us.”

“Thirty breaths have passed, fifty more to go, judging by the sound, they should be moving toward the southwest direction.”

………

“That’s enough!”

Lu Yun stood up abruptly, interrupting the discussions behind him.

“Governor Mu previously instructed, if he calls for surrender before the battle, that indicates splitting forces to attack the Southwest Mountain Road. Just as we don’t have many people, and the area near the gate has at least gathered fifty to sixty thousand people, it’s useless for us to go there. Follow me to the Southwest Mountain Road!”

Mu Longhe’s loud call to surrender just now wasn’t done frivolously.

The Minister’s Faction sent him to attack Zhongyang, though he only commanded ten thousand troops, he was given the authority to act independently, clearly intended for him to coordinate with East Ridge, so he had already informed East Ridge before the battle.

Master Lu Yang led the main force to the Jingxi Camp, and matters here at East Ridge were mostly handled by Lu Yun. The secret signal agreed upon with Mu Longhe was the call for surrender before the battle.

Troops cherish speed in battle; the main forces are fiercely attacking the gate, so Lu Yun couldn’t afford a delay. With one order, he led the three hundred men out of the wooden house, then split them into seven groups, blended into the chaotic crowd, advancing from different directions, swiftly approaching the southwest road entrance.

“Put out the fire, put out the fire, these storerooms contain military food, can’t afford problems, quickly call others to fight the fire!”

“Idle people keep away, roll off!”

……..

At the storeroom entrance, Huang Shengyong who had been immensely proud was now filled with panic and fear. Personally leading five hundred men to guard the storeroom, he alternated between calling more people to fight the fire and pushing others away, clearly losing all composure, nothing like his previous arrogance.

Suddenly, he turned and spotted a white figure in the crowd, his expression froze, and instantly realized something, his face flaring with anger.

“It’s Lu Yun, it’s Lu Yun’s group…”

He spoke through clenched teeth, suddenly linking other thoughts, his pupils contracted sharply, and his flushed face turned paper white.

“Not good, East Ridge has problems!”

By the time Huang Shengyong realized this, Lu Yun and his group of three hundred had gathered in the southwestern section of the camp within thirty breaths.

Not just them, Han Li and Zhu Baixu had already blown the bone whistle for gathering the signal midway, and the ringleaders of the camp’s mutiny, the convoy’s seven hundred Earth-digging Realm Limits, had long converged behind them following the sound.

As soon as the group of over a thousand arrived at the southwest section, seeing the scene at the mountain road entrance, their pupils sharply contracted, emotions suddenly surged.

No less because the three-meter wide mountain road entrance had already been blown open, hundreds of soldiers wearing pale gold war armor had already occupied the gate, frantically killing their way inside.

“Hahaha, chickens and dogs, trying to stop me, die!”

The leading burly mystic armored general was wielding a Mo Blade a meter in length, already cutting deep into the enemy twelve meters, hacking side to side, emitting wild, rampant howls, fearsome prestige reaching the sky.

Guarding the mountain road entrance weren’t some ragtag soldiers but Beishuo’s solid Defensive Army, but even so, from the generals and officers to the soldiers, none were a match for that mystic armored general.

“It’s Xiao Mountain Army Commander, Xiao Yuan, Lord Xiao!”

“Rumor has it he’s about to break through to Xianyang Level; this strength is at least over 70 mane.”

“70 mane, ignorant, the Military Department’s new rule this year, those below 80 mane aren’t qualified to serve as commander. Currently, among 30 Numbered Armies, not a single serving commander has less than 80 mane.”

“Those with strength below 80 mane are currently only acting commanders.”

……..

“Stop the chatter, listen to me…”

Even though emotions ran high, Lu Yun didn’t rashly lead his people charging forward. His entire group of one thousand were dressed in casual clothes, not armored, and with only 300 Cold Resistance Level; if they charged rashly, they could perhaps only cause a disturbance, not inflict substantial damage, so they had to devise a plan.
