Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Chapter 1540: Chapter 579: (Extended Chapter Requesting Subscription)_2

Zhang Jingdong said at this moment, ”Mr. Zhang, I wonder if you’ve heard about the Renren Network launched by our group’s Qingyun Technology Company some time ago?”

Zhang Xiaolong nodded directly, ”Of course I’ve heard of it, I’m a user of your website, and I have a very positive outlook on it.”

”Not only is it technologically advanced, but the concept behind your website is also very forward-thinking.”

”Moreover, from my observation during this period, your website’s user engagement is very high. I myself spend at least an hour on your site every day.”

Zhang Jingdong pretended to be a bit surprised, ”Really, I didn’t expect you to see so deeply. You’re truly a master who single-handedly created Foxmail!”

Zhang Xiaolong laughed and waved his hand, ”My email service is far inferior to your website.”

”Our website was developed by hundreds of people working day and night for nearly a month, while you created the email service on your own and eventually sold it for 12 million. This already fully proves your incredible personal ability.”

Zhang Xiaolong waved his hand again, ”You’re flattering me!”

At this moment, a waiter knocked twice on the door, then came in and served tea.

After the waiter left, Zhang Jingdong picked up the teapot, poured two cups of tea, and handed one to Zhang Xiaolong.

Zhang Xiaolong said ”Thank you,” and received the tea with both hands.

Zhang Jingdong took a sip from his own cup and then asked, ”Mr. Zhang, what do you think the situation in China’s internet industry will be in ten years?”

Zhang Xiaolong clearly didn’t expect Zhang Jingdong to ask such a question, but the question instantly piqued his interest.

He thought for a moment seriously and then replied, ”My judgment might seem a bit rash, but that’s indeed how I feel.”

”I believe that in ten years, the main battlefield of the internet won’t be on computers, but will be on mobile devices.”

”Mobile devices?” Zhang Jingdong pretended to be puzzled, ”What do you mean by that?”

”I think with the rapid advancement of modern technology, in the future, mobile devices will have significant functionality akin to computers. To put it bluntly, your company’s Renren Network will appear on everyone’s phones, as will Tencent’s QQ and Alibaba’s Taobao.”

”Though this sounds a bit crazy, I believe that, at most within ten years, this will certainly be realized!”

Zhang Jingdong restored his previous composure, ”Seems like you already know about 3G technology and Apple’s new project!”

Upon hearing this, Zhang Xiaolong looked surprised, ”So you know about it too? You’ve already thought about what I just mentioned?”

Zhang Jingdong smiled and answered without directly responding, ”Before coming to Guangzhou this time, I first went to Zhuhai. I invested in a company there, can you guess which company?”

”A company in Zhuhai?” Zhang Xiaolong quickly recalled and then said, ”In my view, there are only two companies in Zhuhai that are noteworthy and can potentially be connected to your company.”

”One is Huang Xiuzhang’s Meizu Technology Company and the other is Gree Air Conditioner, so did you invest in Meizu Company?”

If earlier Zhang Jingdong, as someone reborn, still had some slight underestimation towards Zhang Xiaolong, at this moment, he truly felt the prowess of this internet magnate who had a net worth of billions in the previous life.

He immediately said, ”You’re indeed impressive; I invested in Huang Xiuzhang’s Meizu Technology Company. Since you’ve guessed this far, do you want to guess what product I aim to develop with them?”

Zhang Xiaolong thought quickly again and said, ”Huang Xiuzhang initially made Meizu MP3s by mimicking Steve Jobs’ iPod, and in at most two years, the MP3 market will gradually vanish, so Huang Xiuzhang will likely continue to follow Steve Jobs’ path.”

”You mentioned 3G technology earlier and also believe that the internet battlefield will be on mobile devices in ten years, so you want to collaborate with him to make phones?”

Zhang Jingdong couldn’t help but give him a thumbs-up, ”Mr. Zhang, you truly are a genius!”

And when Zhang Xiaolong saw Zhang Jingdong truly intended to make phones, a trace of admiration appeared in his gaze towards him, ”Boss Zhang, you’re the real genius here! Your strategic foresight is highly advanced!”

Zhang Jingdong sincerely said, ”Only with advanced strategic planning can one secure the future.”

Zhang Xiaolong couldn’t help but ask, ”So your mobile company’s research direction aligns with Apple’s, aiming to make new types of phones?”

”To be precise, smart phones.”

Zhang Xiaolong was slightly startled, then nodded, ”Indeed.”

At this point, Zhang Jingdong felt that the possibility of securing Zhang Xiaolong’s partnership tonight had reached thirty percent, and he immediately said, ”Mr. Zhang, I came to Guangzhou this time hoping to make friends with you. When did you start playing tennis?”

Zhang Xiaolong was a little out of sync with Zhang Jingdong’s thoughts, hesitated for a moment before replying, ”During college.”

”How good is your tennis skill?”

A trace of confidence flashed in Zhang Xiaolong’s eyes, ”Not bad, over the years I rarely lose when playing with friends around me.”

Zhang Jingdong heard the slight pride in his words and immediately said, ”Actually, I also like playing tennis, and over the years I’ve hardly ever lost. How about we go play a match now?”

This time, Zhang Xiaolong was completely a bit confused by Zhang Jingdong, not knowing what his real intentions were.

However, he had an engaging conversation with Zhang Jingdong earlier, and he felt Zhang Jingdong was someone in sync with himself.
