Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Chapter 1532: Chapter 576: His Pick-Up Skills Are Truly at the Grandmaster Level

Then Xu Nuo and Qi Siyuan each added another dish.

”Alright, let’s just order these for now. You guys serve the food quickly.”

”Okay!”

Seeing the waiter leave the private room, Zhang Jingdong couldn’t help but tease, ”You really are a wealthy heiress. I was just thinking we forgot to book a private room in advance, but it turns out they know you.”

Xu Nuo gave him a light glance, ”I come here to eat all the time, so they recognize me.”

Qi Siyuan added, ”It’s not just here; as long as we’ve gone to some nice places these past days, people there seem to know our Nuonuo.”

”Is that so...” Zhang Jingdong immediately held Xu Nuo’s hand, ”Then I better hold tight to our Nuonuo. As long as our Nuonuo is in Guangzhou, I can live off her!”

Though Xu Nuo was pleased by this, since Qi Siyuan was present, she responded with feigned annoyance, ”...Treating someone to a meal is one thing, but you’re saying it like... You’re awful!”

Zhang Jingdong chuckled, ”You don’t get it, do you? Living off someone may not sound good, but for us, it gives both of us more face.”

”Look, you’ve taken care of a big boss like me, while I, instead of living off older rich women, I get to live off a top-notch beauty like you at eighteen—any man would envy me to death!”

Qi Siyuan immediately laughed, ”Boss Zhang, your words are crude but the reasoning isn’t!”

Zhang Jingdong looked smug, ”Absolutely!”

Xu Nuo had no choice but to discreetly pinch his arm.

They chatted idly for a bit until the waiters gradually brought in the dishes one by one.

After the waiters left, Zhang Jingdong first tasted the crispy roasted pigeon.

Xu Nuo watched him, and when he swallowed, she couldn’t help but ask, ”How’s the taste?”

Zhang Jingdong nodded with a smile, ”Very nice! Our Jiangdu’s Tianfu First-class also has this dish, but the way they make it here is entirely different, yet the taste is just as good, less oily and more fresh, with a distinctive Guangzhou flavor.”

Xu Nuo immediately breathed a sigh of relief, then served him a piece of boiled chicken.

”Try their boiled chicken; it’s a modified version, different from many traditional Cantonese restaurants.”

”Really, let me try...”

Zhang Jingdong said as he picked up a piece of boiled chicken from the plate and put it in his mouth.

He chewed carefully, then said, ”In Shanghai, the boiled chicken usually comes with shrimp soy sauce, over in East River it’s usually paired with spicy sauce, and here in Guangdong it’s a light dipping sauce.”

”But I must say, the chicken here truly tastes like chicken, the flavor is indeed very good!”

Xu Nuo said with a serene smile, ”I didn’t expect you not only love to eat but also understand it well!”

”Of course! And there’s something else you might not expect, not only do I love to eat and know food well, but I’m also really good at cooking!”

”When we get back to Jiangdu, I’ll find a chance to cook some delicacies for you, not to brag, but I can cook dishes from all eight major cuisines.”

Upon hearing this, Xu Nuo and Qi Siyuan were both a bit surprised.

Xu Nuo smiled and said, ”Really? I’ll remember that. If you can’t deliver, I’ll have to punish you!”

Zhang Jingdong confidently replied, ”Don’t worry about not delivering; if my cooking can’t get you to rate it a 100, you can punish me as you like!”

”Is that a promise?”

”As a man of my word, I can’t go back on it.”

Although he said so, Zhang Jingdong secretly thought about how to take advantage of Xu Nuo after the meal.

Then Qi Siyuan said, ”You’re discussing this in front of me just to make me tempted, right?”

Xu Nuo chuckled, ”We’ll count you in too, you can rate along with me, so we can truly see how skilled Chef Zhang really is.”

”Chef Zhang, is that okay?”

Zhang Jingdong was thrilled, ”Of course, no problem! Though people have different tastes, when dishes are cooked by us top chefs, they can conquer anyone’s palate!”

”But since there’s another person, this makes it a bet. If I actually win your stomachs, you both have to accept a punishment from me, agreed?”

Xu Nuo glanced at Qi Siyuan and then nodded, ”Agreed!”

Afterward, Xu Nuo and Qi Siyuan ate for about ten minutes and then started watching Zhang Jingdong’s food show.

And Zhang Jingdong lived up to expectations, finishing each dish to an empty plate.

After the meal, they didn’t rush off but lingered over tea for a while.

Around two, they left the private room and headed downstairs.

Xu Nuo then turned to Zhang Jingdong and asked, ”Where do you want to go now?”

Zhang Jingdong blinked quickly and said, ”I want to go karaoke.”

”Karaoke?” Xu Nuo was a bit speechless, ”In broad daylight, you’re sure?”

Zhang Jingdong shrugged, ”In broad daylight, that’s when there are fewer people in the KTV, so it’s perfect for karaoke.”

Then, Zhang Jingdong suddenly thought of something and continued, ”You good girl haven’t been to karaoke before, right?”

Xu Nuo immediately waved her hand, ”Of course I have, I... I just rarely go.”

”Since this is like returning a favor, fine, I’ll go with you!”

Zhang Jingdong happily put his arm around Xu Nuo’s shoulder, ”That’s more like it, when you’re with me, you have to learn to let go and enjoy all the joys life offers!”
