Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Chapter 1182: Chapter 460: Both School Beauties Are Actually Involved With Him...

Zhang Jingdong placed the laptop on the coffee table and propped it up with two shoe boxes.

Then, after a few clicks with the mouse, the screen began showing ”Before Sunrise.”

Zhang Jingdong glanced at Lin Shishi, and then the two of them started watching the classic love story together.

One must admit, the films from all over the world during the eighties and nineties of the last century entered a truly extraordinary period, with one classic film after another, garnering both critical acclaim and box office success.

Among all the romance movies, ”Before Sunrise” certainly qualifies as a classic piece.

It roughly tells the story of a young man from the Beautiful Country named Jesse who has an accidental encounter with a French beauty named Celine on a train. They hit it off and then get off together midway, spending a romantic day in the musical capital of Vienna, and finally agree to meet at the same place six months later.

The film’s visuals are very beautiful, and the male and female leads are a perfect match, making it very suitable for couples to watch together.

In his previous life, Zhang Jingdong watched this movie at least a dozen times, so he’s very familiar with the scenes.

However, it seems that Lin Shishi hasn’t seen this movie much, but it’s clear that she also likes it very much now because she hasn’t even noticed that Zhang Jingdong has wrapped his arm around her waist.

However, unwilling to interrupt her viewing experience, Zhang Jingdong didn’t go any further.

Lin Shishi also seemed unbothered by Zhang Jingdong’s mischievous hand for the same reason.

The night was particularly quiet, even the cicadas outside had gone to bed early, not making a sound.

Zhang Jingdong occasionally glanced outside at the West University campus, occasionally at the campus beauty so near him, and occasionally at the movie playing on the laptop.

At some moment, he suddenly felt a dream come true.

In a small rented room, living a sweet and romantic life with the campus beauty Lin Shishi.

Ah, this feeling is truly too blissful!

Although he was very happy when he was with Yan Ning or Ye Jinyan, he never had such a feeling of happiness from deep within his heart.

To put it this way, if one day the heavens gave him a choice between a happy life with Lin Shishi and a wonderful life with Yan Ning and the other women, he would definitely choose the former.

Because the former gives him endorphins, lasting happiness and joy, whereas the latter mostly gives him hormones, also joyous but sometimes leaving him feeling weary and guilty.

Of course, at the moment, he wants both.

After all, only kids make choices.

Over an hour later, the movie finally ended.

Lin Shishi then turned to Zhang Jingdong, still lingering in the movie’s aftertaste: ”This movie was really good!”

Zhang Jingdong affectionately ruffled her hair: ”I’ve watched this movie a few times before, and every time I finished, I envied the male lead.”

”But rewatching it with you tonight, I feel luckier than that guy. He found true love only in the movie, but I’ve found true love in reality, and it’s lifelong true love.”

Lin Shishi’s heart stirred, and a slight blush appeared on her pretty face.

After a while, she asked, ”Does this movie have a sequel? Did they meet again after six months?”

Zhang Jingdong casually replied: ”Yes, they did meet again later, and they fell in love...”

As he said this, Zhang Jingdong suddenly realized that the sequels ”Before Sunset” and ”Before Midnight” weren’t released until 2013.

So he said, ”But I don’t recommend you watch the sequels.”

Lin Shishi blinked her beautiful eyes: ”Why?”

”Because when a romance movie has a sequel, the series generally follows this pattern: the first one is a beautiful romantic love story, the second one involves love and marriage, and the third one is about having children and mundane trivialities.”

”Whether it’s an Eastern or Western film, it’s basically this routine.”

”In my eyes, true love is always romantic and beautiful. Even if there are some setbacks, they are passionate and fiery.”

”And I promise you, our love will always be like this, even if we marry and have children in the future, we will not have those mundane trivialities, only passionate romance and peaceful times.”

Lin Shishi gazed deeply at Zhang Jingdong, happy in her heart, but not knowing what to say.

The main issue was that Zhang Jingdong’s last sentence was just too what-it-was, and she was at a loss.

She was stunned for nearly half a minute until she suddenly remembered something, then said, ”It... it’s late, I... I should go back to the dormitory...”

After saying this, she expected Zhang Jingdong to be all sorts of clingy, considering he hadn’t taken advantage of her after coming to this house tonight.

And she was prepared for him to take a little advantage, then she’d find a way to get out.

Yet, Zhang Jingdong nodded readily: ”Um, I’ll walk you back.”

Lin Shishi was caught off-guard at first, then she slowly stood up.

Zhang Jingdong pretended not to notice her reaction, also got up deftly, tidied up a bit, then led her out of the room and downstairs.

On the way, the two chatted about this and that, but instead of any awkwardness between them, their hearts felt especially warm.
