Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

After all, it was her first time coming alone to a guy’s house, and now they were officially in a relationship.

Even though Zhang Jingdong kept reassuring her, she still felt a bit worried.

Zhang Jingdong arrived at the door and casually took out his keys to open it.

”Come in.”

Lin Shishi realized she couldn’t retreat, so she followed him inside.

Zhang Jingdong originally thought his place would be messy since he hadn’t been back in a while, but to his surprise, it looked like it had been thoroughly cleaned just a day or two ago.

There wasn’t a speck of dust on the floor, and all the furniture was spotlessly clean.

He was curious but realized it wasn’t the right time to delve into what was going on.

So he gestured towards the couch in the living room: ”Have a seat.”

Lin Shishi seemed to notice as well and said, as she approached the couch, ”It’s really clean here. Do you always live here?”

Zhang Jingdong shook his head with a smile, ”Not really, but since I need to study for exams, I thought it would be more convenient to stay here. So I had someone clean it beforehand.”

”Oh... I see.”

At this point, Zhang Jingdong placed his backpack on the coffee table, unzipped it, and said, ”I’ve already reviewed the major subjects, now I just need to focus on calculus and English.”

”As for English, I have a decent foundation, and I’ve interacted with quite a few foreigners recently, so I think I can handle this exam.”

”For calculus, my foundation is pretty decent too, and I’ve heard that the main exam content is similar to high school material, so I just need a little guidance from you.”

After hearing this, Lin Shishi felt slightly assured about Zhang Jingdong’s finals, but when she realized she only had to tutor him in one subject, the nervousness she had suppressed started to creep back.

She forced herself to stay calm and said, ”You should have said so earlier. I was worried for nothing. This will be much easier.”

Zhang Jingdong thought to himself, if it wasn’t to prove I brought you here to study and not to trick you, I could handle calculus on my own.

But he said, ”Are you really that worried about me?”

Lin Shishi’s face flushed even redder, ”I... we’re together now, so if you fail, it’s embarrassing for me too.”

”Oh... so you’re worried I’ll embarrass you, got it!”

”Zhang Jingdong, you... you’re so annoying!”

Zhang Jingdong laughed aloud and then sat beside Lin Shishi, ”Alright, alright... let’s start studying. We really don’t have much time left!”

With that, he deftly took out his calculus textbook.

For the next hour or so, Zhang Jingdong sat properly, letting Lin Shishi explain a few example problems to him.

It must be said, Lin Shishi truly deserved the title of a top student; not only was her voice pleasant but her explanations were also very logical.

Most importantly, Zhang Jingdong found her incredibly captivating when she taught, outshining those university beauty instructors in short videos.

Zhang Jingdong couldn’t help himself and said, ”I feel that today’s study should be enough for the exam. Let’s take a break.”

Lin Shishi immediately responded in a gentle voice, ”Hey, you’re still far from it, okay?”

Zhang Jingdong shrugged, ”I’m not aiming for 80 or 100 points, I just want to score 60. This should be enough.”

”Pfft... and you pride yourself on being smart? Even scoring 60 doesn’t mean you only need to learn 60% of the material, alright.”

”Every exam has different focuses; some important points repeatedly appear as key tested areas, while others might not show up at all, so you need to learn the whole book to have a chance at 60 points.”

Zhang Jingdong pouted, ”Even though I haven’t studied seriously since university started, my high school study experience taught me that math is about logic, and the examples I just chose basically covered the main points of the book.”

”So, though I haven’t mastered every concept in this book, I understand its entire logic. Even if the test includes questions on topics I haven’t studied, I’ll still be able to figure them out.”

”You...” Lin Shishi was visibly surprised at his claim and responded, ”That’s quite arrogant, isn’t it!”

Zhang Jingdong laughed, ”Senior, it’s not arrogance, it’s that you’ve underestimated my learning capabilities!”

He saw Lin Shishi still somewhat annoyed and continued, ”Senior, how about this? I have a few sets of past exam papers here; you pick one, and I’ll do it right here.”

”If I score above 80, then it proves I wasn’t bragging, and you owe me a little reward.”

”But if I score below 80, I’ll continue studying hard and even accept a small punishment from you, deal?”

Lin Shishi, having rarely bet with Zhang Jingdong, wasn’t aware of his frightening winning streak in these matters.

And she didn’t believe Zhang Jingdong could score over 80 just from learning what he did today.

So although she hesitated over his proposed ”little reward,” she nodded decisively, ”Alright, since you’re so confident, I’ll let you face reality.”
