Chapter 339: Chapter 179: Take Her as an Inner Chamber Disciple (Large Chapter, Please Subscribe)_2

”And now that you’ve decided to learn kung fu from me, you must refer to me as your master. Any problem with that?”

Qin Yu could tell Zhang Jingdong was joking, but for one, he had saved her life today, and secondly, the kung fu he demonstrated was indeed very impressive.

So she nodded happily: ”Okay, no problem. From today onwards, I shall respectfully call you master.”

”Congratulations, Host, for preliminarily taming the target character, reward of 200,000 yuan!”

Zhang Jingdong nodded with satisfaction: ”The second point is, once a master, always a master. Any problem with that?”

Qin Yu, for some reason, felt her face flush with a tinge of red upon hearing the word ”lifetime.”

But she still nodded briskly: ”Sure, I accept.”

Seeing her agreement, Zhang Jingdong was secretly thrilled and casually said: ”Alright, now give me a bow and you’ll be officially initiated!”

At this point, Qin Yu could barely resist a laugh, hurriedly stood up to disguise it, then with a face full of respect bowed to Zhang Jingdong: ”Master!”

”Good disciple, please sit!”

Zhang Jingdong then said solemnly: ”You are my first Inner Chamber Disciple, and probably the last, since I don’t really have the energy to teach others.”

”But now that I have a disciple, we sort of count as a sect, so let’s now come up with a name for our sect together!”

Despite being a little confused, Qin Yu found it quite amusing, an experience utterly different from any conversation she had had before.

After all, in the end, Zhang Jingdong really had kung fu skills, and she truly wanted to learn from him.

Thus, Qin Yu replied enthusiastically: ”Sure, so what direction should we take for our sect’s name? In Jin Yong’s novels, there are names like Huashan Mountain Sect, Hengshan Mountain Sect, Emei Sect, which are named after mountains. Our sect... seems a bit too modern!”

Zhang Jingdong thought for a while, then said: ”You’re right, it’s hard to base it on a location name for us, but the way you’re thinking of referencing Jin Yong’s martial arts novels for the name is correct.”

”Let me think... ’Through a Snowy Landscape a White Deer Bolts, Laughing a Hero Leans on a Green Mallard.’ Our sect has both male and female and just two people... That’s just like ’The Return of the Condor Heroes!’”

Qin Yu had already thought of this, but of course, she wouldn’t say it out loud. Seeing Zhang Jingdong mention it, she shyly tilted her head, not continuing the conversation.

Zhang Jingdong continued: ”But we can’t be the Ancient Tomb Sect... Got it, let’s name it the Dongyu Sect, taken from the idea of sunrise in the east, stirring the world with our actions. How about that?”

Qin Yu then turned back and glanced at Zhang Jingdong.

Of course, she understood the real meaning behind the name, but she found it hard to point it out. So, after a short hesitation, she said, ”All right, you’re the master, I’ll follow your lead!”

With the acceptance of a disciple and acknowledging a master, the bond between the two, already strengthened by Zhang Jingdong’s previous act of saving Qin Yu, grew even closer.

They chatted for a while longer, then Zhang Jingdong asked as if offhand: ”Right, your mother is the vice-director of this hospital, so why didn’t you choose to study medicine, but law instead?”

”Because...” Qin Yu actually seemed a bit embarrassed for a rarity: ”Because I get a bit... queasy at the sight of blood.”

”Queasy at the sight of blood?”

Zhang Jingdong could never have imagined it would be for this reason and barely held back a chuckle: ”But when you brought me to the hospital earlier, I was bleeding so much, and you didn’t faint, did you?”

Qin Yu pursed her lips: ”Getting queasy isn’t about fainting immediately upon seeing blood, but rather having an excessive reaction, which can vary in severity.”

”I’m on the milder side; seeing blood just makes me feel a bit panicked, and my consciousness gets a bit blurry, but even so, I can’t become a doctor.”

Zhang Jingdong suddenly realized: ”That’s quite a pity... Honestly, if you really were a doctor, the one coming for treatment would definitely be very numerous...”

Qin Yu paused, clearly not catching up with Zhang Jingdong’s rhythm: ”Why?”

Zhang Jingdong smirked: ”Why? Don’t you know you’re very good-looking?”

Qin Yu sincerely said: ”But in professions like doctors and lawyers, what people care most about is the professional competence of the practitioners.”

”People coming to get treated or to litigate care most about whether the other party can cure their disease or win their lawsuit, not whether the person is good-looking or handsome.”

Zhang Jingdong sighed: ”Now I understand why you could become a top-tier lawyer. You’re always so meticulous and ready to debate with someone at any moment.”

”But I’m really curious, do you never joke around with people in private? Can’t you tell when someone is joking with you?”

Qin Yu blinked her lively eyes: ”I just performed a ritual to accept you as my master and discussed the naming of our sect with you. Isn’t that joking around?”

”How can such serious matters be considered a joke? It seems you have no clue what real joking is about.”

”Let’s play a game then, how about a riddle game? Let’s see if you have any sense of humor at all!”

Qin Yu hesitated: ”Isn’t that more of an assessment of intelligence rather than humor?”

”You’ll know after we play, dare to play or not?”

”There’s nothing I can’t play, when I was a kid no one could stump me with riddles.”

Hearing this, Zhang Jingdong couldn’t help but laugh: She’s actually biting the bait herself!

Then he said: ”Really? Well, in that case, I’ll give you some riddles. If you can solve even one, you win, and if you can’t solve any, then I win.”
