”Moreover, I’m not about to teach you dancing for an entire afternoon or several days to master it completely, I just want to teach you a small part to help you find a relaxed state in your body, do you understand?”

Yan Ning was on the verge of agreeing already, and now with this undeniable reason given by Zhang Jingdong, she reluctantly nodded: ”Okay... alright then.”

Seeing her agreement, Zhang Jingdong immediately stepped forward and began explaining: ”Actually, this ballroom dance is especially simple, it’s just about rhythm and footsteps...”

While speaking, he took Yan Ning’s right hand with his left, and at the same time, his right hand encircled beneath her fragrant shoulders.

Although the two had held hands a few times before and had even hugged around the waist once, it was still the first time they stood face-to-face like this, grabbing hands and embracing shoulders simultaneously.

Most crucially, the distance between them was only a few centimeters, almost like a hug.

So Yan Ning’s face turned red in an instant!

But she knew that since she had already agreed, there was no backing out now, and Zhang Jingdong definitely wouldn’t let her regret it now.

Thus, she just slightly bowed her head, intentionally avoiding Zhang Jingdong’s gaze.

But at that moment, Zhang Jingdong said, ”Don’t look down, you need to look at me all the time, this is crucial in ballroom dancing, we need to constantly exchange glances.”

Yan Ning bit her lip: ”I... I’m afraid I might step on you later!”

Zhang Jingdong laughed lightly: ”Don’t worry, if you follow my instructions, you generally won’t step on me, and even if you do, it’s not your fault but mine for not teaching well. So, it’s only right for you to step on me a few times!”

This instantly amused Yan Ning, and she looked up and met Zhang Jingdong’s gaze: ”I didn’t expect your teaching philosophy to be quite good!”

”That’s a must... now put your left hand on my right shoulder.”

Yan Ning, now fully accepting, did as instructed.

Zhang Jingdong continued: ”Next, I’ll explain the dance steps; first, I’ll step forward with my left foot, and you’ll step back with your right foot, then we both do a padding step, after that, I step back and you do a spin back...”

While explaining, Zhang Jingdong started dancing with Yan Ning.

Because this type of ballroom dancing usually has the man leading, and as long as the man is proficient enough, even a beginner woman can start dancing pretty quickly.

Thus, in less than ten minutes, the two were dancing quite proficiently.

And at this point, the smile on Yan Ning’s face was growing deeper; she couldn’t believe how she initially thought ballroom dancing to be so difficult yet it turned out to be so simple, and she learned it so quickly!

She knew all this was thanks to the teaching of Zhang Jingdong, so her gaze towards him grew more tender, and her movements in the dance increasingly cooperative.

Even when Zhang Jingdong suddenly made a waist-embracing step out of impulse, their faces were at most a finger’s length apart, she wasn’t upset.

And Zhang Jingdong, realizing she enjoyed the dance, then asked, ”Who is your favorite singer?”

Yan Ning was slightly startled, honestly replying: ”Air Supply, why?”

”Which song of theirs do you like the most?”

After a moment’s thought, ”I want to draw a prize!”

”Host has accumulated 100 points of goodwill from the target, meeting the conditions to draw a prize, you may now draw!”

”Will the host start the prize draw?”

”Yes.”

”Prize drawing starting...”

”Prize one: Richard Clayderman’s piano skills.”

”Prize two: Luther Hesekiel Cook’s English song singing ability.”

”Prize three: Leonardo DiCaprio’s acting.”

”I choose prize two.”

”Prize exchanged, the host has two more draws remaining, will you continue?”

”No.”

A flicker of curiosity passed through Yan Ning’s eyes: ”’Without you’.”

Zhang Jingdong then said, ”Let’s slow down the rhythm next, listen to this song and try to relax a bit more, your body is still somewhat stiff...”

Zhang Jingdong said, slightly slowing down the dance steps and began to sing:

No, I can’t forget this evening

I cannot forget tonight

Or your face as you were leaving

Your face as you were leaving

But I guess that’s just the way

But I think that’s just how

The story goes

The story ends

...

Yan Ning was somewhat astonished hearing Zhang Jingdong say she should relax further while listening to this song in a bit, and at this moment, after hearing him sing two lines, she was instantly impressed!

And in her view, there was absolutely no way Zhang Jingdong could have known from anyone that she liked Air Supply, and that ”Without you” was her favorite among their songs, so this definitely wasn’t prepared in advance.

The only possibility was that he also liked Air Supply, and also really liked ”Without you”.

Additionally, what utterly astounded her about Zhang Jingdong was that his singing was on par with Luther Hesekiel Cook’s original!

Whether it was the English pronunciation, the grasp of the song’s emotion, or even the opulence of the voice.

It’s known that Luther Hesekiel Cook’s voice is famously opulent, and yet Zhang Jingdong’s was not the least bit inferior, which was exceptionally rare!

Yan Ning had been a fan of Air Supply since high school, and over the years, she had listened to ”Without you” at least a couple of thousand times.

So she was very familiar with this song’s melody, lyrics, and even Luther Hesekiel Cook’s rendition.

Listening to Zhang Jingdong’s sing, which was just like a CD-quality performance, Yan Ning looked at Zhang Jingdong with an unconsciously sincere appreciation in her eyes.

”Congratulations host, you’ve successfully earned the target’s appreciation, rewarded with 100,000 Yuan!”

Zhang Jingdong’s heart stirred, then after singing the main verse, suddenly stopped singing, as well as the dance steps.
