Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Chapter 310: Chapter 169: Delivering a Qipao to Her Company (Long Chapter, Please Subscribe)_3

After the business meeting, Zhang Jingdong chatted with the two for over an hour, then went to Yuxiang River South near the company for lunch with them.

As they were nearly finished eating, something suddenly occurred to Zhang Jingdong, and he asked Chen Hui, ”Mr. Chen, do you know of any places in Jiangdu where they make really excellent qipao shops?”

”Qipao?” Chen Hui pondered briefly, then replied directly, ”The best place for that would be Hongxiu Lan on Guang’an Road. They not only have a wide variety of designs but they also offer various bespoke services. I heard that several aunts from Shanghai oversee the craftsmanship there, and it’s simply matchless!”

Zhang Jingdong’s interest was piqued: ”Alright, I’ll go have a look in a bit.”

After the meal, the trio returned to the office.

When it was almost time to leave, Zhang Jingdong informed Chen Hui before exiting the office and making his way to Hongxiu Lan.

To tell the truth, upon seeing the somewhat quaint exterior of Hongxiu Lan, Zhang Jingdong felt a bit hesitant, since he wanted to pick out a qipao for Yan Ning that was a bit sexy, and he was concerned they might not have it.

However, as soon as he stepped inside and glanced around, Zhang Jingdong was instantly dazzled!

He could never have imagined that there could be so many styles of qipao that were so beautiful, and so varied in style, many of them looking just like works of art!

Moreover, at that moment there were several beauties wearing various qipaos on-site, some of whom truly looked graceful and curvaceous.

Zhang Jingdong felt a secret thrill: The qipao really suited Eastern beauties perfectly. If Yan Ning were to wear one, she would certainly look stunning!

”Welcome...”

Coming back to his senses, Zhang Jingdong turned his head to look at the beauty in a white qipao approaching him, and went straight to the point, ”Which is the most expensive qipao here?”

Upon hearing his question and taking another look at Zhang Jingdong’s attire and temperament, as well as the two beautiful women who seemed like his bodyguards behind him, the saleswoman’s smile brightened a bit more.

”The most expensive would be our pure silk qipao, over there. Please follow me...”

Zhang Jingdong immediately followed her for about ten meters.

Then she pointed to a rack: ”These are all made of pure silk. You can take a look.”

Zhang Jingdong swiftly scanned the selection, then pointed to a black qipao with the highest slit, ”How many sizes of this model do you have in stock?”

”We have everything from size 160 to 175, but to ensure the qipao fits properly, it would be best if you could bring the person here to the shop so we can take her measurements and tailor-make it for her.”

Zhang Jingdong replied with a smile, ”Her height is 170, and her measurements are 92, 64, 93.”

The saleswoman realized in an instant and her eyes also showed a hint of envy and admiration.

”Her height and measurements are the perfect proportions for a figure. Our size 170 should fit her just right.”

Zhang Jingdong smiled nonchalantly, ”Then I’ll take one of every color!”

The saleswoman instinctively froze for a moment because although she could tell Zhang Jingdong was wealthy, the pure silk qipao cost 4800 each, and there were 8 different colors to mix and match, which would amount to 38,400 for the whole set.

Having worked here for nearly 3 years, she had never encountered such a generous customer.

She quickly responded with a joyful face, ”Alright, just a moment please...”

Ten minutes later, Long Yue and Song Yu each carried six qipaos, and followed Zhang Jingdong back to the car somewhat shyly.

This was because Zhang Jingdong had also chosen two qipaos for each of them just now, also the most expensive pure silk ones, only in a different style.

Zhang Jingdong pulled out his phone as he spoke to Long Yue, ”Let’s go to the Maple Forest Building.”

”Okay.”

Zhang Jingdong had wanted to call Yan Ning right then, but ended up holding back.

Only when the car slowly stopped at the Maple Forest Building did he take out his phone and directly dialed Yan Ning’s number.

It took four rings before the call was answered, ”...hello...”

Actually, Yan Ning wasn’t busy, but seeing that it was Zhang Jingdong calling, she instantly remembered the scene the previous night at the bar, and for some reason, she instinctively resisted taking his call.

But in the end, she answered the phone as if led by a ghost.

Zhang Jingdong got straight to the point, ”Took you so long to pick up, were you busy or... were you avoiding me?”

Avoid you?” Yan Ning quickly regained her assertive businesswoman composure, ”Why would I avoid you?”

”So where are you now?”

”Where else would I be at this hour? Of course, I’m at the company. Why?”

”I’ve already bought the qipao for you, I’m going to deliver it to you now.”

Yan Ning was clearly flustered, ”Hey... what are you thinking? I’m at the office!”

”So what? Afraid that your employees will see? Afraid they’ll misinterpret that we’re dating? Ha-ha, I didn’t expect that the almighty Chairman Yan would be scared of this!

”How about this, if you agree to have dinner with me tomorrow night, I’ll let you off the hook, and wait to give it to you after work. How does that sound?”

”Don’t pull that trick on me, I don’t succumb to threats!”

Zhang Jingdong looked up at the 9th floor of the Maple Forest Building, ”Then shall I head to your office right now? To be honest, I’m quite curious about your company’s business, and maybe we could have an opportunity to collaborate in the future!”

”Sure, if you want to visit then come on over, a lot of our employees are really interested in your bar, and they’ve all been speculating about you, the mysterious owner!”

”Then please allow me to let the reception know downstairs, I’m already at the building!”

”...What? Really?”

”Why would I lie to you? If you don’t believe me, take a look out the window, I’m waving at you from below!”

At this moment, in an office on the 9th floor, Yan Ning stood up and walked over to the window, indeed spotting Zhang Jingdong below, waving at her.

A flicker of shyness and anxiety crossed her eyes, but also seemingly a trace of... surprise?

And since she had just said what she did, it wasn’t appropriate to back out now, so she tried to appear nonchalant, ”Alright, no problem.”

”Alright, see you in a bit!”

Zhang Jingdong laughed heartily and hung up the phone.

He stepped out of the car, escorting Long Yue and Song Yu into Maple Forest Building.
