Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Chapter 338: Chapter 179: Accepting Her As An Inner Chamber Disciple (Long Chapter, Please Subscribe)

In the hospital corridor outside the ward.

Lu Fangfei pulled out a bunch of keys from her pocket and handed them to Qin Yu.

Qin Yu knew these were the keys to her office, and her face instantly turned red: ”I’ll be going home soon, why are you giving me these?”

”With such a big incident happening today, you should stay in my office for the next few nights, it’s safer!”

As she said this, Lu Fangfei glanced at the door of the ward again, and continued, ”And what a great opportunity this is, you must seize it well!”

”What are you talking about? It’s not just me, there’s also his bodyguard!”

The words had barely left her mouth when Long Yue pushed the door and came out.

Long Yue nodded at the two of them and then walked away.

Qin Yu was taken aback and instinctively said, ”You are going... to him...”

Long Yue had no choice but to say, ”I also got a minor injury just now, the boss told me to go back and take care of it, then come back tomorrow. Tonight... I’ll leave it in your hands!”

Qin Yu readily nodded, ”Okay... Also, thank you for today, without you, I might have...”

”No need to be polite, it’s a part of my duty, I’m leaving, goodbye!”

Lu Fangfei waited for Long Yue to walk a distance away, then tapped Qin Yu’s arm, ”Okay, go in now, I should be leaving too!”

”But Xiao Yu... listen to your mother, many seemingly unreachable goals, heaven often gives you a chance when you feel hope is very slim, but you must work hard to hold onto this opportunity, otherwise once missed, it might...”

”And this Xiao Zhang... I feel he’s quite a good match for you!”

Qin Yu bit the corner of her mouth and sighed, ”Alright, mom, I’ll remember your words and I will give it a try, but you also told me before, we can’t force things, so it’s best you don’t hold out too much hope, okay?”

Upon hearing this, Lu Fangfei immediately smiled, ”Sure... of course, the final decision is yours, I absolutely respect my daughter 100% on this!”

The two talked a bit more before Lu Fangfei left.

Qin Yu secretly heaved a sigh of relief, and then returned to the ward.

Seeing that there was no one else in the room, Qin Yu suddenly felt inexplicably nervous.

After psyching herself up to regain her composure,

she approached and said softly, ”Are you thirsty? I’ll pour you some water...”

Zhang Jingdong waved his hand, ”I’m not thirsty, you’ve been busy for a long time, come sit here and rest.”

Qin Yu tucked her hair behind her ear, then turned around to sit on the chair beside the bed.

”What on earth were those people looking for you over today?”

Qin Yu paused, then replied, ”The housing development by their company has many houses with quality issues that make them uninhabitable, and some homeowners have sued their company, that’s why I took this case.”

”After the last court session, the situation is really unfavorable for them, so they...”

”Have you encountered such things before?”

Qin Yu nodded, ”I have... more than once, in fact, it’s quite common. After all, when a lawsuit involves large interests, some people naturally resort to unconventional methods.”

Zhang Jingdong stared at her with a righteous and intense gaze, ”You need someone to protect you. Today’s situation was too dangerous, if anything had happened... the consequences are unimaginable!”

Qin Yu caught on to Zhang Jingdong’s meaning, felt the fervor in his eyes, and also unconsciously remembered his words today when he sheltered her behind his back, ”Don’t worry, as long as I’m not dead today, you’ll definitely be fine!”

She couldn’t help feeling warmth in her heart, ”Thank you for today, and I didn’t expect your skills to be so good, managing to fight off so many by yourself, it’s really amazing!”

Zhang Jingdong took the opportunity of her starting the conversation to say, ”Do you know who I learned from?”

Qin Yu was slightly startled, then asked curiously, ”Who?”

”Didn’t you feel a trace of familiarity when you saw me in action?”

Qin Yu seriously reflected for a moment, and then said, ”Could it be... Bruce Lee?”

”That’s right, he is my master!”

”But... Bruce Lee passed away in ’73, at that time you should have...”

”I learned from his movies and documentaries... you really are a law student, so precise indeed!”

”But your self-defense skills are way too weak, today I thought you could talk the talk and would be able to extricate yourself safely, or at least defend yourself, but I didn’t expect you to actually...”

”How about this, I’ll personally teach you some self-defense techniques, I guarantee that by the time you’ve learned them, ordinary thugs like those today won’t stand a chance against you!”

Qin Yu immediately became interested upon hearing this, ”Really? Can I actually learn?”

The biggest characteristic of a top student is the eagerness to learn and improve, especially after today’s events, Qin Yu felt it was very necessary to learn some self-defense.

Zhang Jingdong, seeing her interest, said, ”The greatest principle of martial arts is using softness to overcome hardness, and weakness to defeat strength, and why do Huaxia martial arts films captivate the whole world? Because we really grasp the essence.”

”And Bruce Lee is one of the best in this field. Today, I’ve personally demonstrated for you the results of learning his martial arts. If you want to learn, I’m confident I can teach you, how about it?”

Qin Yu was completely intrigued, ”Okay, I’ll learn from you!”

Zhang Jingdong half-jokingly said, ”Since you’ve decided to learn martial arts from me, I have to tell you two things, first, martial arts is a lineage, and although Mr. Bruce Lee has been long gone, I’ve always revered him as my master.”
