I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 221: Chapter 84: Gone Mad

”Chen!”

”Praise me!”

”Right now!”

After the 28th round of La Liga, Negredo called Chen Zhong.

His voice sounded very proud on the phone.

Recently, Real Madrid fans have had a slogan, which is: ”Our goal is to make Barcelona line up to welcome us at the Bernabeu!”

The second match between Real Madrid and Barcelona will be held in the 36th round. If Real Madrid can win the championship three rounds early, then at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, Barcelona players will have to line up outside the player’s tunnel to welcome Real Madrid players.

This is definitely an exciting thing for Real Madrid fans and a pinnacle moment in Schuster’s life as well.

After the 28th round of La Liga, although Real Madrid didn’t break the ”curse” and lost to Villarreal in that match, Barcelona didn’t take the opportunity to close the gap.

At this best moment to catch up on points, Almeria tenaciously forced a draw against Barcelona at their home ground.

Barcelona’s match was half a day later than Real Madrid’s. During the day, newspapers in the Catalonia Region were still mocking Real Madrid’s failure, and the World Sports Newspaper even said: Rijkaard can have a pleasant weekend.

However, just over ten hours later, most newspapers across Spain published a photo of Rijkaard with his head down after the game on the front page.

Almeria twice fell behind at home yet bravely equalized the score twice.

No wonder Negredo made a separate call to Chen Zhong to claim credit.

”After this match, we are still 7 points ahead of them.”

”Barcelona now needs to consider not whether they can win the championship.”

”But how they can hold on to their second place!”

Negredo’s tone was somewhat gloating; he had already confirmed he would return to Real Madrid after the season ended, leading to an epic sense of belonging to Real Madrid.

This could be felt from his use of the word ”we” in his tone.

The gap between Real Madrid and Barcelona is still 7 points, while Barcelona is only 2 points ahead of Villarreal, ranked third.

This means that if Barcelona draws or loses the next match, they might be overtaken by Villarreal.

The World Sports Newspaper, as a Catalonia Region newspaper, even openly mocked: ”Rijkaard should consider the league more rather than the Champions Cup.”

Despite Rijkaard being mocked, Schuster also didn’t have it easy.

The match between Real Madrid and Deportivo La Coruña was called the worst match of the season for Real Madrid.

Schuster, Pepe, and even the club were criticized.

Critics believed the combination of Soldado and Raul was entirely wrong; they hardly had any chemistry and barely had any chances to hold the ball.

Lacking a breakthrough on the flanks, Soldado had to stretch to the sides to support Raul as he faced the hulking players of Deportivo La Coruña in midfield alone.

Many media directly pointed the fingers at Guti and Sneijder.

In this match, Guti had 87 passes throughout, with nearly no passes creating a real threat. The other playmaker, Sneijder, also didn’t produce any dangerous balls.

Schuster’s lineup selection and on-field adjustments were questioned.

Lodina was highly praised by the media.

Although Deportivo La Coruña’s formation completely mimicked Arsenal’s 541 from the Champions League two years ago.

This formation is not visually appealing, plays ugly, emphasizes defense starting from midfield, and lacks expansive attacking scenarios, resulting in almost no usage in La Liga.

But if a team was on the brink of relegation, switching to 541 led to a leap in performance and even defeated the top team Real Madrid.

Then, the treatment would be different.

The media used ”tactical master” and ”creator of new Super Laco” to praise Lodina.

Some might still say Lodina is too utilitarian, killing the enjoyment of football, but after Lodina led Deportivo La Coruña to maintain records and defeat Real Madrid.

These voices became irrelevant.

...

No one paid attention to Valencia.

But the players and fans of Valencia care a lot.

In the first match between the two teams, Valencia was humiliated at their home court by a 5-0 defeat by Real Madrid.

This score was like a loud slap on their face, making them harbor a relentless urge for revenge.

And now the opportunity has arrived.

They aim to ruthlessly humiliate Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

The blonde-haired Koman had started leading the team to prepare early last month.

The humiliation of being defeated by 5 goals at home is etched in his memory.

This time for the away challenge, Koman has made ample preparations.

David Villa Sanchez, nicknamed ”Huluwa,” is in his best form. This top striker, watched by teams like Real Madrid, Juventus, Inter Milan, Chelsea, and Manchester United, holds the world’s fastest ”hat-trick” record of scoring 3 goals within 5 minutes and is already craving vengeance.

He is eager to get justice for Valencia.
