I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 217: Chapter 82: 17 Years

”Is this the mysterious Eastern Ancient Country?”

”They merely make a slight move, and the world takes notice!”

”They actually have so many people online, how do they have so many computers?”

In the West, due to media constraints, some people still have a stereotyped and backward impression of the East and China, but in the latest vote announced by Real Madrid, they deeply felt the mysterious power from China.

Shortly after Chen Zhong held a personal press conference, Real Madrid also released an official announcement, simultaneously expressing respect for Chinese fans.

Calderon truly realized that the current Real Madrid is no longer the same as in the past.

In the future, as long as it’s a vote needing participation ”by headcount,” they must be cautious, cautious, and more cautious, otherwise a little carelessness might cause a catastrophe.

”Just one night, less than 8 hours.”

”Over 700,000 people voted for Chen.”

”If the time were longer...”

Calderon couldn’t help but shudder; in this event for Real Madrid that lasted half a month, only 400,000 participated in the voting, but because Chen Zhong entered the top 100.

In just about 8 hours, the number of votes from China exceeded 770,000, and most were votes just for Chen Zhong, what a terrifying and frightening power!

But after the trembling, Calderon couldn’t help but fall into a beautiful fantasy.

According to the person in charge, at the time Real Madrid’s official website had once crashed, meaning 770,000 was not the limit of the Chinese people, but the limit of Real Madrid’s server.

If the server had held up at that time, then how many would it have been?

If it weren’t for voting, but rather Chen Zhong’s merchandise, what kind of situation would it be?

As Calderon thought of this, he couldn’t help but call in the head of sales, asking in detail about the sales of Chen Zhong’s jerseys, yet the final result left him a bit surprised.

”Are you sure about this data?”

The sales of Chen Zhong’s jerseys among the first team were at a mid-to-low level, yet Chen Zhong clearly had a large supporter base in China, didn’t they want to own a Chen Zhong jersey?

Or does Chen Zhong not have the influence he imagined?

Calderon fell into thought.

Compared to the number of votes this time, although Chen Zhong’s jersey sales in China were among the top, for Calderon, this figure was clearly not healthy.

...

Asia, China

The gathering places for fans across the country have been increasing, initially opened up by the Manchester United Director.

After joining Manchester United, he had once significantly increased the enthusiasm of fans to watch matches, eager to see how compatriots would perform in top European leagues.

Unfortunately, Manchester United Director had few opportunities to play, and as time passed and Manchester United’s team became increasingly talented, his days of standing out seemed nowhere in sight.

But it didn’t matter.

They had another Chen Zhong.

With Chen Zhong gradually establishing himself at Real Madrid, China as a whole increased its focus on football.

It seemed all the fans finally had a core to rely on, no longer the ”pitiful ones” drifting aimlessly; they finally had someone they could wholeheartedly support, seeing Chen Zhong’s performance in top leagues and on European fields, they could finally rebut when others said, ah, Asians have such physiques, Chinese people have such physiques, we’re not suited for big sports, only small ones, with Chen Zhong to counter that argument.

It’s not just Chen Zhong!

With Chen Zhong’s outstanding performance on the field.

Foreign clubs, as if agreed upon.

Hey? Old Royal, you discovered a genius in China, right?

Then collectively, they swarmed into China, hoping to uncover the second Chen Zhong.

Besides Chen Zhong, undoubtedly the most focused on were the two who joined Barcelona’s youth training, Wu Lei, and Chelsea’s youth training, Zhang Linpeng.

According to recent interviews, Wu Lei received high praise at Barcelona, they believed his positioning awareness was very similar to Inzaghi.

Furthermore, with Bojan’s departure, Wu Lei perfectly filled the gap left by Bojan.

After all, during his time in the youth team, Bojan only needed to position and find opportunities, not participate in organization and defense.

The only regret is, although Wu Lei’s positioning and opportunity-finding ability are very impressive, his finishing compared to Bojan is not just a bit lacking.

Zhang Linpeng was also praised at Chelsea, they considered his technical characteristics somewhat similar to Real Madrid’s Ramos, and quite versatile in the backline.

Whether as a fullback or a center-back, he could play.

In a football world demanding higher and more comprehensive skills, Zhang Linpeng’s characteristic was clearly a plus point, leading domestic fans to nickname him ”Zhang MoSi.”

Because of Chen Zhong, and hopes for players like Wu Lei and Zhang Linpeng’s future, fans increasingly wanted to watch games among a group of ”brothers”.

Wherever there is profit, naturally there will be many places that become fan gathering spots.

And today, the match day when Super Laco faces Real Madrid at home, countless Chinese fans wearing white jerseys gathered from all directions.
