Three Systems Made the Fake Heiress Unstoppable

Chapter 119: Chapter 119: Seems Like She Passed?

”Are you telling me you and Alice Cole didn’t work together to make me that honey water today? That you weren’t the ones who put sleeping pills in it?” Miles York’s voice suddenly boomed, and the entire room fell silent in an instant.

Meeting Miles York’s gaze, Brooke York no longer dared to say a word.

Her plan had been to have Chloe York come back just so she could drug her on the day of the college entrance exam, making it impossible for her to attend.

She had also drugged Miles York. That way, he would be asleep, making it impossible for Chloe York to ask him for help, and he wouldn’t be able to receive Mr. Parker’s call either.

But for some reason, she and Alice Cole were the ones who ended up with diarrhea. They still couldn’t figure out what part of the plan had gone wrong.

”Brooke York, you will go take that exam this afternoon. I don’t care what you have to do. If you can’t even get into college this time, forget about repeating the year. I’ll send you straight back where you came from.” With that, Miles York turned and left the room.

Brooke York laughed self-deprecatingly. ”Back where I came from? This is my home. Where am I supposed to go?”

「An hour later.」

The drug’s effects wore off for Brooke York, and her diarrhea finally stopped, as did Alice Cole’s.

”Mom, I have to go to the exam!” Brooke York knew she had to go. It wasn’t just because of Miles York’s threat; she also needed to see if her plan had succeeded.

’Although my drugging plan failed, I also tore up Chloe York’s admission ticket. I refuse to believe she could get a new one that quickly.’

”Brooke, how can you possibly take the exam like this?” Alice Cole said, looking at Brooke York’s pale face. She was clearly drained from her bout of diarrhea. In this condition, never mind answering the questions, Alice was afraid she’d faint in the exam hall.

”I can. Just arrange for a driver.”

”Alright then!” Left with no choice, Alice Cole arranged for a driver to take Brooke York to the exam.

When Brooke York arrived at the exam hall that afternoon, she was still utterly drained from her morning ordeal. As she faced the test paper, the words on the page began to blur, but she forced herself to keep writing.

Weakened as she was, she was completely oblivious to the disgusted glances occasionally thrown her way by the teacher walking past and the students sitting nearby.

They couldn’t understand why this student, who had been absent for the morning session, would show up for the afternoon one smelling so foul.

If this was how it was going to be, she should have just stayed away like she did this morning. Her being here now was a distraction to their own exams.

But this was the national college entrance exam. They were afraid that if they said anything, she would latch onto it, blaming her poor score on their comments about her.

It just wouldn’t be worth the hassle.

Brooke York had no idea what she was writing anymore. She was barely conscious, but her hand kept moving. All she knew was that she had to finish the test. She couldn’t leave anything blank. She couldn’t turn in an empty exam paper.

By the time the exam ended, she had regained a bit of energy, but it was too late to review her answers. It was already time to hand in the test.

After handing in her paper, Brooke York propped herself up on the desk to stand and leave, when suddenly a girl stood in front of her, pinching her nose.

Brooke York was confused. ’Why is this girl standing in front of me instead of leaving? And why is she pinching her nose like that, as if she’s disgusted?’

”I have a suggestion for you.”

”What suggestion?” ’Why would this girl want to give me a suggestion? What is it?’

”First, you have to promise you won’t get mad when I tell you, because I’m just being honest,” the girl said, wanting a promise from Brooke York first.

Although she hadn’t processed why the girl was acting this way, she subconsciously nodded. ”Okay!”

Having gotten Brooke York’s promise, the girl seemed to muster her courage and finally spoke. ”You should probably go change your clothes, or better yet, take a good shower. There’s a very strong odor coming from you.” Having said her piece, the girl hurried away.

Brooke York’s already deathly pale face turned even paler at the girl’s words. It was only then that she seemed to notice the strange looks people around her were giving her.

’I had diarrhea all morning,’ she realized. ’I was completely drained and sweating buckets, and I never even cleaned myself up.’

So, that feeling of people staring at me wasn’t my imagination. It was real.

At this thought, she was overcome with shame and hurried out of the classroom.

All the students in the hallway seemed to catch her scent, giving her a wide berth.

This made Brooke York even more self-conscious, and she quickened her pace, desperate to get away.

”Brooke, I didn’t see you this morning!” Clara Bell suddenly popped out. The moment she spoke, she caught a whiff of something extraordinary—an odor reminiscent of someone who’d fallen into a cesspool.

”Shut up!” Brooke York roared at Clara Bell. She was already desperate to leave, and Clara Bell blocking her path made her even more furious, so she unleashed her frustration on her.

Her outburst caused many people nearby to turn and stare at Brooke York.

Because she knew what was wrong with her, Brooke York felt that every stare was filled with mockery, making her feel even more mortified.

Suddenly being yelled at, Clara Bell got angry too. She instantly put some distance between herself and Brooke York. The main reason was the smell—it was just too much to handle.

She couldn’t figure out why Brooke York smelled like that; she hadn’t even seen her this morning.

Brooke York caught the look of disgust in Clara Bell’s eyes.

”Clara Bell, are you disgusted by me?” Brooke York’s tone was accusatory.

’She’s just a little follower, a lapdog. How dare she be disgusted by me?’

”No, Brooke, you’ve got it wrong. How could I ever be disgusted by you?” Clara Bell explained awkwardly, cursing herself for being so careless and not hiding her reaction better.

’But then again, how could I not react?’ she thought. ’The stench is just overwhelming. It’s impossible to ignore!’

”You’re not? You obviously are! What, disgusted because I smell? Then stop trying to hang out with me if you’ve got the guts! Even if I have a ’problem,’ I’m still the heiress of the York Family—someone you could never hope to be. Don’t you get it?” Brooke York snarled, poking Clara Bell in the chest with her finger.

Looking at Brooke York’s contorted, almost savage expression, Clara Bell felt a sudden wave of panic. ’She looks completely unhinged!’

”I... I know. You’re the York Family’s young lady, and I’m a nobody.”

Clara Bell’s words seemed to placate Brooke York. She retracted her hand and took two steps back. ”Let me ask you, did Chloe York show up for the exam?”

”She came!”

”Did she get to take it?” Brooke York’s voice was tinged with anxiety.

”It seems like she did.”

”What do you mean ’it seems like she did’? She either took it or she didn’t! Why are you giving me such a vague answer?” Brooke York suddenly roared at Clara Bell again.
