Prodigal System in the Flourishing City

Chapter 1166: Chapter 1165: State Banquet

With the King’s invitation, Lu Xiaobu and his group were now here officially.

They confidently drove towards the Imperial Palace!

Upon reaching the palace and performing a few minor formalities, Lu Xiaobu and the Emperor of Dubai met.

”Please have a seat!” The Emperor of Dubai nodded to Lu Xiaobu and Lin Feng as he spoke.

”Father, today’s matter, actually...” Rashed attempted to explain.

”Alright, stop there. We’ll talk about it later,” the Emperor of Dubai waved dismissively.

”Yes, Father!” Rashed replied helplessly, having no choice but to sit obediently in his chair!

”Please, this is our nation’s wine. I’m not sure if you’re accustomed to drinking it,” the Emperor of Dubai chuckled politely.

”It’s certainly unique,” Lu Xiaobu nodded. Not to mention the golden cup, even the wine was sprinkled with gold flakes.

This display of Dubai’s luxury was indeed extraordinary!

After a round of drinks, the atmosphere became more lively.

”I have a question, but I’m not sure if I should ask,” the Emperor of Dubai spoke up.

”Oh, then don’t,” Lu Xiaobu nodded.

”Pfft!”

The King nearly choked on his food!

What kind of response is this?!

Weren’t people from the Heavenly Dynasty supposed to talk like this?!

He specifically learned it for this occasion.

”Just kidding,” Lu Xiaobu laughed, ”Please, go ahead.”

”This gentleman is quite amusing, but I was actually referring to someone else,” the King shook his head and smiled wryly, ”I wonder why the famous Lin Feng, whom even I’ve heard of, has remained silent during his visit to our country?”

”You’ve figured out who I am?” Lin Feng smiled and raised his glass.

Being recognized was only normal, he hadn’t hidden his identity; a simple check would reveal it.

”Apologies, the commotion you two caused was simply unavoidable,” the King nodded.

”The silent reason is simple: there’s someone more prone to causing a stir here,” Lin Feng glanced at Lu Xiaobu.

”Oh!? I’m curious as to who this might be...” The Emperor of Dubai genuinely regarded Lu Xiaobu with interest.

To make Lin Feng stay quiet, even to the point of being a background presence, this person must certainly not be ordinary!

”Oh, my name is Lu Xiaobu,” Lu Xiaobu nodded and casually introduced himself, ”Hey, friend, help me get that dish; I’d like to try it!”

”Lu Xiaobu?” The Emperor of Dubai muttered, then his eyes widened, ”The Lu Xiaobu?!”

”That’s him!” Lin Feng nodded.

”No wonder, no wonder!” The Emperor of Dubai immediately chuckled wryly.

Alright, everything made sense now!

This was the very Lu Xiaobu who had once turned Japan upside down. Yet here, he merely caused a bit of a stir within their country. Honestly, the Emperor felt that Lu Xiaobu was being quite considerate!

However, he soon began to take him even more seriously.

”Is there something important you wish to discuss by coming to our country together?!” The Emperor of Dubai placed Lu Xiaobu and Lin Feng on an equal footing.

These two indeed deserved this status!

To put it in numbers:

Although Dubai is a nation of wealth, the richest tycoon actually only has assets worth 60 billion.

Of course, this doesn’t include the national treasury, which belongs to the state and shouldn’t be mixed up!

And these two on the other side?

Lu Xiaobu alone is a billionaire with assets exceeding hundreds of billions, not to mention he holds the globally focused 4G technology. Such a person absolutely warrants equal standing!

As for Lin Feng, say no more!

So, in comparison, his son, Prince Rashed, suddenly seemed a little less qualified to sit at this table.

Then, after a moment of thought, before Lu Xiaobu and Lin Feng could respond, he said to Rashed, ”Go to that table.”

The Emperor of Dubai referred to the adjacent side hall, where Wu Qianmin, Li Jin, and Lin Feng’s companions were seated.

”What? Why?” Rashed was stunned.

As the Prince, he couldn’t even join the state banquet?!

”Just go where I told you,” the Emperor lightly ordered.

”Alright then.” Rashed accepted begrudgingly.

What is this nonsense?!

Was he getting kicked out of his own family?!

Unbelievable!

However, unbeknownst to him, as the Emperor watched Rashed’s departing figure, he fell into a slight contemplative state.

Should the Crown Prince position also be considered for Rashed?!

Without saying much, being able to become friends with Lu Xiaobu was an undeniably valuable asset!

Having understood Lu Xiaobu’s character, he knew that his treatment of friends was indeed commendable.

Now, with Lu Xiaobu likely holding the 4G technology to spearhead the next era, this power can’t be underestimated!

Of course, it’s just a thought, something to consider later.

The somewhat dejected Rashed had no idea that, in that moment, he had been elevated to Crown Prince status!

As Rashed left, the Emperor of Dubai again turned to Lu Xiaobu and Lin Feng.

”Actually, there’s nothing much. In our country, our two families are in conflict, each holding the other in check. So, we came here for a vacation.” Lu Xiaobu spoke honestly, with nothing to hide.

”He’s telling the truth,” Lin Feng nodded in agreement.

The Emperor of Dubai understood.

Next, the two sides engaged in an amicable international conversation, which need not be elaborated.

The host and guests were all pleased.

They even made a pact: whether it was Lu Xiaobu or Lin Feng with control over 4G, there would be contracts with Dubai.

The banquet concluded, and the Emperor of Dubai asked Rashed to lead Lu Xiaobu and Lin Feng on a casual tour of the palace.

This was indeed a high honor!

Rashed, with a sly grin, led the group away from the main hall. Once some distance away, he exhaled deeply, ”Luckily, my father didn’t punish me! Did he forget?”

Lu Xiaobu and Lin Feng were momentarily amused.

Punish you?! Not rewarding you already counts as punishment!

If word gets out that you invited both of us to the palace, you’d be hailed as the hero!

Don’t doubt it; the presence of either of them alone would be enough. With both combined, even more so!

”Come on, let me show you around my room. I’ve got quite a few pets there, tigers, lions, leopards — you name it. See any you like, just pick one!” Rashed laughed heartily.

He had realized who Lu Xiaobu and Lin Feng were.

Yet, he didn’t think much of it.

He wasn’t the Crown Prince, and this lifetime would probably just be eating, drinking, and enjoying life!

What’s the point of deliberately befriending big shots?!

Just treating them as friends was good enough!

However, knowing their identity, his attitude had slightly changed!

To let loose and be even more carefree!

”Cough, cough, keep it down. I mean, if you like any, we can have them for a meal; just don’t say I suggested it!” Rashed whispered mischievously.

”Pfft!”

Lu Xiaobu and Lin Feng both laughed!

Alright, everything’s out in the open!

The foodie attribute has fully awakened!
