Prodigal System in the Flourishing City

Chapter 1162: Chapter 1161: One Cubic Meter [11th Update]

”Hello there, it’s nice to see you two again!” Rashed, leading a tiger, stepped out of the car and approached the two individuals.

Indeed, he had assigned people to keep an eye on these two’s whereabouts!

Of course, mainly on Lu Xiaobu!

And so, today he brought along a tiger.

”Hey!” Lu Xiaobu greeted, after all, they’ve had meals together, so there’s some camaraderie.

”Look at my tiger here, what do you think? Want it?!” Rashed pushed the tiger forward.

The tiger looked a bit confused, gazing blankly at Rashed.

This morning, its master rambled on about something for a while, even though it couldn’t understand, it remembered it.

The exact words were: ”Hey, if someone takes a liking to you today, make sure you go berserk. That way, the other party will surely eat you. When the time comes, it’s not excessive for me, as your original owner, to have a bite or two, right!”

The tiger couldn’t really grasp what those words meant. Could someone translate into tiger language for it?!

Was it some sort of special ritual?!

”No more eating, no more eating!” Lu Xiaobu waved his hands repeatedly, eating it every day is unbearable!

”Just have a look, it’s really good!” Rashed vigorously promoted.

Lin Feng’s mouth twitched crazily on the side!

What kind of ridiculous conversation is this?!

Lu Xiaobu, what do you mean by ’no more eating’?!

Seriously, in your eyes, is such an animal, considered the king of beasts, merely food now?!

And then the Dubai guy! You’re even worse!

Didn’t you hear Lu Xiaobu has already plainly and directly mentioned eating?!

And yet you’re promoting?!

You simply want to eat another meal but fear people calling you out, huh!

Have you considered the feelings of the tiger beside you?!

Xiaorou watched all this unfold from the side and suddenly admired Young Master Lin!

Look at our young master, he’s been in contact with Lu Xiaobu for quite a while, yet only carries a hint of silliness.

And look at this Dubai guy, he’s only been in contact for a day, and he’s become completely silly!

Young Master Lin’s endurance, his resolve, who can match it?!

This kid is also about to lose it, he’s already opened up to this perspective!

The two spent a moment exchanging pleasantries, their conversation a soul-searching exploration between eating and selling.

In the end, Rashed failed to make a sale and sighed as he glanced at the tiger beside him.

”Roar.”

The tiger rubbed against Rashed’s leg, expressing intimacy, yet utterly puzzled.

Lin Feng secretly sighed, poor tiger, your master is sighing because he can’t eat you, and here you are comforting him! Why not jump into the pot yourself and fry yourself up?!

Well, this wave of ’sorrow’ didn’t last too long.

”You two planning on buying gold? I’m a local, let me help you out,” Rashed volunteered.

”Alright.” Lu Xiaobu nodded.

And so, the group proceeded inside.

Though Rashed no longer minded the tiger issue, yesterday’s extravagant display by Lu Xiaobu still left him a bit miffed!

After all, they’re Dubai, globally recognized as a nation of wealth.

Being flaunted by someone from the Heavenly Dynasty, if this gets out, it’s a bit embarrassing.

Therefore, he felt that, as a prince of the Dubai royal family, he had to recover some face for Dubai!

And gold seemed to be a good choice; this kind of large-scale gold display certainly wouldn’t be common in the Heavenly Dynasty, right?!

Thus, he walked to a shop front, extravagantly stretching out his hand: ”Give me five kilos of gold, I want to gift it to my friends.”

Admittedly, hearing this, Lu Xiaobu did feel a bit surprised.

Back home, gold is typically calculated in grams, yet this guy just casually asked for five kilos?!

It’s not like Lu Xiaobu couldn’t afford it, but the switch from grams to kilos did take him aback!

However, that wasn’t the most surprising part; it was the lack of surprise on the shopkeeper’s face upon hearing this that truly shocked him!

What does this indicate?!

It indicates that here, the use of kilograms and kilos as units is common!

Indeed, this is Dubai! Buying gold by the kilo, not simple!

Seeing Lu Xiaobu’s expression, Rashed beamed.

Haha, feels good!

He managed to recover some face for Dubai!

Then, picking up the gold handed by the shopkeeper, he cheerfully gifted it to Lu Xiaobu: ”Consider this a token of appreciation for yesterday’s meal invitation, hope you don’t decline!”

Yesterday, selling the tiger for a billion was a huge profit; gifting five kilos of gold in return was no big deal.

Lu Xiaobu didn’t refuse, cheerfully accepting: ”Thanks then.”

”No problem. Gold here is priced by weight, not style or shape. You can instruct the shop to mold simple shapes on-site, though it won’t be too refined!” Rashed explained to Lu Xiaobu.

”Oh, I was wondering how you could ask for five kilos and the shopkeeper would just calmly weigh it,” Lu Xiaobu nodded in understanding.

Since they’re here, not buying some gold seems amiss.

He then touched his chin, contemplating how much to buy!

Then, he held up a single finger!

Lin Feng, watching Lu Xiaobu closely, knew he was up to something big again; it was certainly not a small number.

Rashed wasn’t too reactive: ”Go ahead, whatever you want, they’ve got it here!”

No boasting, that Heavenly Dynasty guy could even buy a tonne, and they could muster it up.

While others might not realize, he’s well aware that the daily gold inventory here is about ten tonnes!

So, no worries!

Then.

Lu Xiaobu excitedly declared: ”I want a cubic meter! Yes, mold it into a neat, cubic meter, I haven’t seen gold like that before!”

Lin Feng sighed; of course!

If Lu Xiaobu didn’t stir things up, would he really be Lu Xiaobu?!

”Pfft!”

Rashed, who was once confident, now spewed blood!

A cubic meter?!

I talked about buying by the kilo, generously thought of buying by the ton for you, how’s that for regard?!

Who would’ve thought you’d use volume units instead of weight units?!

Do you have to be so excessive?!

Moreover, do you know how much a cubic meter is?!

The density of gold is 19.32 tonnes per cubic meter!

That means this cubic meter is almost twenty tonnes!

Are you insane?! Seriously, are you buying gold?! Straight-up buying twenty tonnes?!

You all remember, right, just a moment ago it was mentioned that together the market here doesn’t exceed ten tonnes, thought it’d be enough, now it’s shockingly less than half?!

Madman! Truly a madman!

”Why are you buying so much?! Do you know how much this is?!” Rashed couldn’t help but ask!

”Of course I do, I learned about gold’s density from a young age, just curious to see if it’s true,” Lu Xiaobu shrugged and said: ”You’re never too old to learn!”

”Pfft!”

Your friend Rashed has left this world, bring incense for small matters, burn paper for big ones!
