Prodigal System in the Flourishing City

Chapter 180: Chapter 180 American Prejudices [Seeking Collection, Seeking Recommendations]

Lu Xiaobu and his group of five boarded an international flight and arrived in American Los Angeles.

The reason for choosing this place was that Liang Lan had roughly checked and it seemed there were a few good gaming companies here.

Just off the plane.

The five of them instantly became the center of attention at the entire airport.

Countless white and black people crazily snapped photos of them with their phones.

And they were all discussing amongst themselves.

”Oh, cool, they’re Asians.”

”They are from Asia.”

”I wonder if they are from Japan or Korea?”

”I think they look Korean!”

”Look at their yellow skin, it feels so strange.”

”...”

Not only that, some bold individuals had already started to come up and strike up conversations!

”Oh, hello, my name is Jack! Are you Korean or Japanese?”

A tall white man approached and asked in English.

It seemed like he was asking everyone, but his gaze stayed fixed on Liang Lan.

Among Lu Xiaobu’s group, only Liang Lan could communicate normally in English.

So, eventually, it fell to Liang Lan to handle the communication.

”Sorry, we are from the Heavenly Dynasty.” Liang Lan politely responded.

”Oh my god, I’ve never met someone from the Heavenly Dynasty before, I thought you were Korean, I’m very sorry.”

Jack exclaimed loudly, but he seemed very happy to have Liang Lan answering his question.

”Thank you.”

After Liang Lan finished responding, she prepared to leave.

”Oh, wait, may I ask you a few questions?”

Jack again intercepted Lu Xiaobu and his group.

”What now?”

Lu Xiaobu frowned, displeased with this forceful interception.

”Young Master, don’t be offended, the customs here in America are different from ours back home.”

Liang Lan bitterly smiled as she explained.

”Alright, make it quick.”

Lu Xiaobu wasn’t unreasonable, cultural differences meant he couldn’t force others to do as he wanted.

”Sorry, we are in a hurry, please let us pass.”

Liang Lan continued.

”Just two questions, only two questions.”

Jack persisted, almost pleading with a sense of entitlement.

This was a manifestation of their inner arrogance—believing that the white race and America are the best!

Now, even Liang Lan’s brows were furrowed, this was no longer a simple issue of cultural differences, it was practically a command!

A command to them?!

What right do you have?!

”Sorry, we are in a hurry, please let us pass!”

Liang Lan emphasised, saying it again.

”Oh, don’t be angry, beautiful. I just wanted to ask if you are mixed, American and Heavenly Dynasty? Because in my mind, the Heavenly Dynasty doesn’t have such beautiful girls! That’s why I think you wouldn’t mind having a drink with me, to see the real America!”

Jack’s eyes were covetous, his tone filled with prejudice and disdain for the Heavenly Dynasty.

He even believed that beautiful women couldn’t possibly come from the Heavenly Dynasty!

”I am born and raised in the Heavenly Dynasty, our country is the most beautiful in the world, please show some respect to the Heavenly Dynasty!”

Liang Lan immediately got angry!

Anything else could be tolerated, but this absolutely could not!

Then...

Her words seemed to ignite a fuse, drawing the attention of those around.

”The most beautiful? Isn’t your Heavenly Dynasty all rural?”

An American lady frowned as she spoke.

”Yeah, I heard that you don’t brush your teeth, but so far, I haven’t smelled bad breath!”

A black man asked puzzledly.

”Do you guys even have TVs at home? Washing machines?”

A cleaner loudly asked.

”Do you guys eat cats and dogs? That’s really cruel! I don’t like that!”

A white girl hugged the Golden Retriever next to her, worriedly saying,

”And, do you really know Kung Fu?”

A white young man, somewhat expectantly, gestured twice, referring to what he called the Heavenly Dynasty’s Kung Fu!

”Do you all litter? We don’t like that here, and you’ll get fined.”

An airport staff member also came over to join the crowd.

Liang Lan listened to these comments, although delivered in a very polite tone, but they were all full of slow prejudice against the Heavenly Dynasty, making her feel like crying.

She was somewhat at a loss for words.

In this situation, the more you explain, the more questions they ask you.

They even ask you to prove it!

Totally unexpected!

She knew that most people from the Heavenly Dynasty who came to America in the past chose not to explain!

But they can endure it, they can’t!

It’s impossible just to let them talk like this!

”Sister Lan, what’s wrong, really?”

Lu Xiaobu, hearing this incomprehensible chatter, was getting annoyed!

”They say we are backward, with no washing machines, no TVs, and so on.”

Liang Lan said somewhat angrily.

Lu Xiaobu narrowed his eyes, pulled out the Shadow Skill from his bosom, and with a slap, placed it on a table in front of him, without saying a word.

The surrounding Americans, hearing the loud noise, immediately turned their heads to look!

”Hiss!”

Instantly, they all took a sharp breath.

”My God, what is this?”

”Is this a miniature computer? Or what? Why haven’t I seen it before?”

”Or maybe it’s an FBI agent’s tool??”

”We should call the police, they might be spies, this thing looks very high-tech!”

”That’s right, we should call the police!”

”...”

A group of Americans, previously thinking themselves as the best in the world, was shocked by a single Shadow Skill!

”Country bumpkin, Sister Lan, tell them what this is.”

Lu Xiaobu sneered.

Although he couldn’t understand English, seeing their expressions, he could guess.

Americans think they are great, can they even imagine today’s Heavenly Dynasty?

Scare you to death!

”This is a cellphone!”

Liang Lan, her previous frantic expression instantly swept away, proudly said in English.

Young Master always has a way!

She had forgotten that, at least in terms of cellphones, the Heavenly Dynasty leads the world!

Moreover, since the Shadow Skill has not fully covered the domestic market, the overseas market hasn’t been tapped into yet!

So, these Americans, they had never seen it!

”Cellphone?!”

The Americans were immediately astonished.

Jack, even more slowly in disbelief, said: ”How could it be? Aren’t cellphones supposed to look like this?”

He took out his old brick phone and put it beside the Shadow Skill, looking at the stark difference between the two models and incredulously said, ”You don’t even have keyboards! How is this a phone?”

Liang Lan reached out, unlocked the screen, and the virtual keyboard appeared, proudly saying: ”Here’s your keyboard.”

”Hiss!”

Jack gasped in astonishment: ”Oh my gosh! Does this keyboard work? Can I try it?”

”Please feel free.” Liang Lan smiled.

Let you mock our Heavenly Dynasty, this will scare you to death!

With permission, Jack cautiously extended his finger, tapped on the screen.

Instantly the number he pressed appeared on the screen!

”Oh my gosh!” Jack’s eyes widened: ”This is actually a keyboard, this touch, unbelievable! Is this really a smartphone?”

”I’ll correct you, this is called a smartphone!”

Liang Lan smiled slightly, immensely proud!

Since you Americans endlessly nag us and are full of prejudice against the Heavenly Dynasty, then just be utterly dumbfounded!

With one function after another of the smartphone, scare you to death!
