Chapter 17: Chapter 17 Riding the Tiger [Please Favorite, Please Recommend]

The next day, before Lu Xiaobu even got out of bed, the entire Lu Family was bustling with activity.

Lu Dad, the old chef, unusually decided to cook himself.

”Zhang Meng, come in and have some food. You haven’t eaten yet, have you?”

Lu Hongbin called out to Zhang Meng, who was standing at the door, sturdy like an iron pillar.

”No need.” Zhang Meng replied curtly, motionless, scanning the surroundings with an eagle-like gaze.

”Forget it, big brother, there’s no use calling. I’ve figured it out, unless Xiaobu gives the order, nobody else’s words work.”

Yawning, Lu Wenhuo said, ”He’s been here since dawn, standing at the door. I asked him to come in and sit for a while, but he didn’t.”

”Go wake up Xiaobu. It’s Monday, he’s got school today,” directed Lu Dad.

”Alright, I’ll go wake him.”

Lu Wenhuo took on the task without refusal, for a study nerd, nothing is more important than school.

Unwillingly, Lu Xiaobu was lured out of bed by Lu Wenhuo’s ’threat and bribe’ and made his way downstairs.

”Young Master.” Zhang Meng saluted immediately upon seeing Lu Xiaobu.

”You go call Qianmin and Sister Lan to eat together,” Lu Xiaobu waved his hand commanding.

”Yes.” Zhang Meng swiftly completed the task and called Wu Qianmin and Liang Lan over.

The two beauties, one tall and one short, fresh as a daisy in water, swiftly swept away the laziness in the Lu Family house like a spring breeze.

Admiring the view before him, Lu Xiaobu remarked, ”It’s a treat for the eyes just looking at Sister Lan; I’ll probably eat an extra two bowls of rice.”

”Oh, really?” Liang Lan pulled her clothes down slightly to reveal more of her snowy cleavage, teasing Lu Xiaobu.

”Three bowls aren’t a challenge.”

Lu Xiaobu, suddenly emboldened, stood on a chair to get a better view, ”..so deep, so round... such a thrill early in the morning! If it were face wash, it would surely be exhilarating!”

”Hmph,” came the teeth-grinding sound from Wu Qianmin.

”Giggle, are you trying to challenge a tiger? And boasting about not stopping at three bowls.”

Pulling her clothes back in place, Liang Lan winked and grinned at Lu Xiaobu.

She was a bit baffled by this Lu Xiaobu. If you said he wasn’t lecherous, he’d always be looking for an opportunity to take advantage, but if you said he was lecherous, just yesterday he actually offered her to go stay at Wu Qianmin’s place instead of at the Lu residence.

”Fighting a tiger? I’m going to ride one. Um, a tigress,” responded Lu Xiaobu after the captivating view had disappeared, shrugging his shoulders.

Listening to Lu Xiaobu’s straightforward words, Wu Qianmin’s face blushed instantly—who is he talking about? Who’s the tigress?! Not me... definitely... not... me... probably Sister Lan... but no! No! Absolutely not!

It wasn’t just Wu Qianmin, even the usually bold Liang Lan was feeling heated up—Young Master was too blunt! Yeah, confirmed, a real lech! Humph!

Lu Xiaobu, seeing both their reactions, smiled and turned to say, ”Zhang Meng, sit down and eat too.”

”Thank you, Young Master.”

Zhang Meng immediately sat down, devoured his food at lightning speed, and then went back to guard.

”Young Master Bu,” Li Xide hurried in, carrying a box, ”I’ve made another gold smartphone for you. I brought it here.”

Lu Xiaobu took the phone but wasn’t too pleased, frowning, ”With those dark circles under your eyes, did you not sleep all night?”

”Hehe,” Li Xide scratched his head.

”Sit down and eat. After eating, you can go sleep at the house,” Lu Xiaobu waved his hand and then opened the box. Looking at the phone which was even more exquisite than yesterday’s, he was impressed, ”Reward, ten thousand.”

”Thank you, Young Master,” Li Xide was delighted—Young Master was so considerate and generous.

”Hey, this really makes me jealous,” muttered Lu Hongbin, glancing at Zhang Meng at the door and then at the dark circles under Li Xide’s eyes, ”These people Xiaobu’s recruited are more loyal than one another. Look at my employees, always trying to outsmart me. Comparing people can be infuriating, and comparing products is like throwing them away!”

”Eat your meal and stop your grumbling. Don’t get any wild ideas about Xiaobu,” scolded Lu Dad.

”Exactly, exactly,” Lu Xiaobu raised his fist in agreement, then suddenly changed his tune, ”Hehe, big brother, hand over the money.”

”You little brat, you berate your big brother and then you ask for money?” Lu Hongbin rolled his eyes but handed over a bank card to Lu Xiaobu.

”Hehe.” Wu Qianmin and Liang Lan both laughed, this family is really harmonious.

After breakfast.

”Qianmin, Zhang Meng, let’s go to school,” Lu Xiaobu said.

”What about me?” Liang Lan asked.

”Sister Lan, it’s fine for you to stay home. I’ll come to find you after school,” Lu Xiaobu said with a grin, ”Oh, by the way, Sister Lan, can you help me fold the quilt?”

”Hey, you wanted me to come back with you just to fold your quilt?” Liang Lan said irritably—she was being thoroughly underestimated.

”Exactly, you’re not just a vase after all, so it’s happily decided.” Lu Xiaobu hummed a tune as he walked out of the house: ”I’ll have a fragrant quilt to cover myself with tonight, mmm, with Sister Lan’s original scent.”

”This...” The Lu family was dumbfounded.

Tian Jilan is a vase?

Tian Jilan’s task is to fold your quilt?

Young Master Bu, you can’t be so wasteful!

If word gets out, you better be careful not to get beaten up!

”Liang Lan, don’t take it seriously, Xiaobu, he...” Lu Hongbin hurriedly tried to explain, but stopped halfway because Liang Lan had already gone upstairs.

”Young Master Bu’s room is this one, right?” Liang Lan pointed to Lu Xiaobu’s room and said.

”Right,” Lu Hongbin was in a daze: ”You’re not really going to fold his quilt, are you?”

”Yes, I was hired by Young Master Bu, of course, I have to work.”

Liang Lan laughed and then entered the room, earnestly started cleaning up Lu Xiaobu’s room.

”This...” The three men of the Lu family looked at each other, what kind of situation was this?

Tech Emperor Li Xide, with a loyal child-like nature, we accept.

Special Soldier Instructor Zhang Meng, grateful and devoted, we can understand.

But you?!

You are Tian Jilan!

Don’t you feel like you’re squandering your talent?

”Don’t be surprised, I know what you’re thinking. Young Master has paid me a salary, so, of course, I will complete Young Master’s tasks well.”

Liang Lan held Lu Xiaobu’s clothes and put them into the washing machine, her eyes revealing a hint of sharpness:

”However, it’s time I show Young Master Bu what I’m capable of. Wu Qianmin mentioned that Young Master cooked up some supreme dishes, how about I take care of the business plan?”

She wanted to see, once she showed her capabilities, how would Lu Xiaobu treat her?

Will he treat her like others, as a tool for making money?

Or will he see her like some, as a forbidden temptation?

Heaven graced her with beauty and talent but also brought her endless troubles, making her wary of outsiders, especially men.

Want her to submit?

It won’t be so easy!

”No problem, no problem at all. I couldn’t ask for more,” Lu Hongbin immediately nodded excitedly.

Could this Xiaobu really perform magic?

Tian Jilan has her own principles. Just by the fact that even though she agreed to become the CEO for the guy named Zhang, yet still insisted on starting as a bartender, it shows that asking her to do something is not so simple.

But now, Tian Jilan is proactively asking to work, which is very strange.

However, that’s not important. The important thing is, this is going to be a big win!

With Tian Jilan stepping in, it’s definitely not going to be just five or six million that simple!

Xiaobu, oh Xiaobu, you’ve really struck it big this time!

If it wasn’t for the fact that many things need to be kept secret for now, he would go and slap the faces of those who mocked Xiaobu so hard!
