Fate-Defying Demon Emperor

Chapter 143: Chapter 143: The Sword Slays Yun Mokong

Trapped within the Supreme Cave Mansion, Yun Mokong had nowhere left to run.

”First Form: Thunderbolt Overwhelming Power!”

Having just recovered thirty percent of his Demonic Qi, Su Han immediately unleashed the Thunderbolt Seven Absolute Slashes. Inside the Supreme Cave Mansion, however, the resonance with heaven and earth was faint. As a result, very little Thunder Light manifested, with only a small amount swirling around the blade’s edge, which greatly diminished the slash’s power. But with the enhancement of the ’Fight’ Character Secret, the blow was still formidable. His blade tore through the sky and sliced open the waves of Qi, carrying the crushing momentum of a thunderbolt as it cleaved toward Yun Mokong.

”Do you really think I’m afraid of you, you brat?”

Knowing there was no escape, Yun Mokong tightened his grip on the Mysterious Silver Dao Spear. He poured what little Spiritual Energy he had left into it, causing the spear’s shaft to blaze with a silver brilliance. It was incomparably sharp, and a powerful Dao Rhyme flowed around it.

CLANG!

The impact of the blade and spear sent sparks flying. Intense shockwaves radiated from the collision like a violent gale. Su Han held his ground and advanced, while Yun Mokong was forced back three or four steps.

”Impossible!” Yun Mokong’s eyes widened in disbelief.

We’re both heavily injured, and my Realm is higher than his! How can he possibly be stronger than me?

”Mysterious Silver Light!”

Gritting his teeth, Yun Mokong poured all his strength into the Mysterious Silver Dao Spear, activating the power of its Dao Rhyme. A beam of Mysterious Silver Light appeared, dazzlingly bright. It flickered like a snake’s tongue, yet it pierced through space, sending a shiver down the spine with its power to seemingly penetrate anything in the world.

HISS!

As the Mysterious Silver Dao Spear thrust forward, this beam of Mysterious Silver Light shot from its tip. It tore through the air, leaving behind a hair-thin spatial fissure as it raced toward Su Han with lethal intent.

”Golden Light Fierce Fire!”

Su Han’s defensive means, like his Dragon Phoenix Protection and Adorned with Stars and Moon, had already been shattered by the Bloodthirsty Little Demon Monarch’s Yin River Ghostly Kill. Now, facing the beam of Mysterious Silver Light formed from Dao Rhyme, he had no choice but to bring out the Golden Light Fiery Mirror, which was also a Dao Artifact.

A finger-thick beam of Golden Light Fierce Fire roared out and collided with the Mysterious Silver Light. The two destructive energies erupted in a massive explosion before annihilating each other and disappearing completely.

”The Golden Light Fiery Mirror! How is that Dao Artifact in your hands!” Yun Mokong cried out in disbelief.

Isn’t that the treasure the Sect bestowed upon Luo Hongyi? Could she have lent it to him? No, that can’t be right. Luo Hongyi has no connection to him. Besides, Su Han offended Senior Brother Qian Xuan, and Luo Hongyi adores Senior Brother Qian Xuan. She would never lend it to Su Han... could he have killed her?

Yun Mokong inhaled sharply. Previously, he would have dismissed the idea, but now, with the three Little Demon Monarchs of the Heavenly Demon Cult all dead at Su Han’s hands, he couldn’t help but suspect it was true.

”You talk too much!” Su Han couldn’t care less about revealing the Golden Light Fiery Mirror. He had no intention of letting Yun Mokong leave this place alive, so the secret would die with him.

SWOOSH!

Su Han activated the Golden Light Fiery Mirror again, launching a second beam of Golden Light Fierce Fire at Yun Mokong.

Yun Mokong snapped back to reality; this was no time for distractions. He tightened his grip on the Mysterious Silver Dao Spear to fend off Su Han’s assault. But Su Han was intent on killing him. He went on an all-out offensive, giving Yun Mokong no chance to breathe.

”Invincible Tao Xin!”

A daunting, invincible aura erupted, pressing down on Yun Mokong like a great mountain. It sought to shake his Dao Heart, crush his spirit, and shatter his will to fight.

”Golden Light Fierce Fire!”

”First Form: Thunderbolt Overwhelming Power!”

The simultaneous assault of Golden Light Fierce Fire and Thunderbolt Overwhelming Power—both incomparably ferocious techniques—sent Yun Mokong staggering backward. Blood trickled from the corner of his mouth as his injuries worsened.

”Body Binding Technique!”

A surge of Divine Sense locked Yun Mokong in place for a crucial second.

”Golden Emperor Tanyang Fist!”

With his left hand clenched, thirty Great Luo Golden Bones glowed brilliantly, suffused with a rich divine charm. Now, augmented by golden Qi-Blood and the ’Fight’ Character Secret, his fist blazed like a golden sun, absolutely unstoppable.

BOOM!

The punch detonated the air. The Mysterious Silver Dao Spear was sent flying from Yun Mokong’s grasp. The impact sent him hurtling backward, spitting a large mouthful of blood, before he slammed against the wall of the main hall and slid limply to the floor.

”Phenomenon: Luminous Spirit Pearl!”

Seeing Su Han pressing the attack, Yun Mokong gritted his teeth. He pushed his King’s Body to its limit and unleashed his Phenomenon. A brilliant Spiritual Pearl materialized, bathing the hall in light. It radiated an immense pressure, seeking to suppress Su Han.

He had no way of knowing, however, that any Phenomenon was useless before Su Han.

”Phenomenon: Black Hole!”

A five-meter Black Hole Phenomenon materialized behind Su Han. It was deep and dark, an endless abyss that could devour and refine all things. Yun Mokong’s King’s Body was powerful, but Su Han’s Sacred Body was even stronger. The Black Hole Phenomenon began to rapidly devour the Luminous Spirit Pearl. Its light dimmed and faded until, to Yun Mokong’s utter horror, his Phenomenon was swallowed whole.

”My Phenomenon... it was devoured?! What kind of monster are you?!”

Yun Mokong had never seen or even heard of one Phenomenon devouring another. With his ultimate defense gone, his heart plunged into an abyss of despair.

Naturally, Su Han had no intention of answering. He knew full well the old saying: villains die because they talk too much. That was why, in addition to being swift and decisive in his kills, he rarely wasted time on pointless banter.

A kill should be decisive.

The Black Blade flashed like lightning, its edge unstoppable. A single slash tore through Yun Mokong’s threadbare Spiritual Energy Protection and bit savagely into his flesh.

SCHLICK!

A ghastly, bleeding wound opened on Yun Mokong’s body. His blood ran black, already corrupted by Demonic Qi. Even with his King’s Body, in his heavily injured and weakened state, he could not resist the demonic corrosion. His face turned deathly pale, and his Aura grew dangerously faint.

At this moment, Yun Mokong had lost all the dignified bearing of a Star Child of the Seven Stars Sect. He was no better than a dying dog awaiting judgment.

But he didn’t want to die. A desperate will to live surged up from the depths of his soul. Seeing Su Han advancing with his blade raised, he knew that if he did nothing, the next blow would be his last.

THUD!

In a final, desperate act, Yun Mokong cast aside all pride and dignity, falling to his knees before Su Han.

”Su Han, I was wrong! I should never have antagonized you, never have tried to harm you, and never have tried to steal your spoils! I know I was wrong now! Please, just spare my life!” He began to kowtow desperately, smashing his forehead against the cold floor until it bled, ready to abandon everything to survive.

But Su Han’s gaze remained as cold as ice, completely unmoved.

After several more fruitless pleas, Yun Mokong fell into utter despair. His pleas having failed, he resorted to threats.

”Su Han, I am a Star Child of the Seven Stars Sect! If you dare to kill me, you’ll be violating the sect’s rules! You’ll die too! You’ve already offended Senior Brother Qian Xuan! If you spare me, I can help you! If I die, don’t think you’ll have an easy time of it either!”

But no matter how he tried to argue his case, Su Han’s killing intent never wavered.

SCHLICK!

With a final slash of the blade, Yun Mokong was decapitated, his life extinguished.
