Fate-Defying Demon Emperor

Chapter 103: Chapter 103: What Do You Think You Are?

The rules of the Seven Stars Sect explicitly stipulated that killing fellow disciples was forbidden. To avoid trouble, Su Han had only injured his opponents in previous battles, never killing them. Xu Tianlin had also believed that Su Han would never dare to overstep the regulations and violate the sect’s rules. But he never imagined that Su Han not only intended to kill him but actually dared to do so in front of everyone.

Isn’t he afraid of being punished for violating the sect rules?

This was a question Xu Tianlin would never get an answer to. His vision went black, and he stopped breathing.

THUD!

Xu Tianlin’s corpse plummeted from mid-air, slamming into the ground so hard it created a large crater. His body was smashed into a bloody, unrecognizable pulp.

At that moment, the entire area fell deathly silent. Every shocked gaze was fixed on Xu Tianlin’s corpse.

Xu Tianlin is dead? Su Han killed him? He actually dared to break the sect rules and murder a fellow disciple?

Everyone was shaken to their core. The punishment for violating the sect’s rules was extremely harsh—a fate truly worse than death. There was once a disciple who violated the rules and was thrown into the Pit of Ten Thousand Snakes. When he emerged, he no longer resembled a human. Furthermore, his Dao Heart had collapsed, and he went mad not long after. Now that Su Han had killed Xu Tianlin and violated the rules, his fate would likely be no better.

”He was too impulsive. Just defeating Xu Tianlin would have been enough. As long as no one died, there was still room to maneuver. But now that he’s killed someone, the Law Enforcement Elders will never let him off.”

”Alas, so young and reckless, completely unrestrained. He could have walked away from this unscathed, but now he’ll probably have to take a trip to the Pit of Ten Thousand Snakes.”

”But to be honest, his strength is truly formidable. He even managed to slay Xu Tianlin. I bet he wouldn’t be so easily defeated in the life-and-death duels of the sect’s grand competition.”

The crowd sighed with regret, feeling it was a shame Su Han had been so impulsive. After all, if he had shown mercy at the last moment and spared Xu Tianlin’s life, he would have avoided breaking the sect’s rules and could have walked away clean. Now, there was no easy way out of this.

”Boss!” Ning Feifan was extremely anxious, his head covered in sweat, completely at a loss for what to do.

WHOOSH!

A figure flew over, arriving on the scene in the blink of an eye. The newcomer was dressed in an elder’s robes, and the pressure of his Physique Realm Aura washed over the crowd, making their hearts sink. This was no ordinary elder; he was one of those specifically in charge of punishments—a Law Enforcement Elder.

”It’s Elder Tie Wumian! It’s all over now. He’s the coldest and most merciless of all the Law Enforcement Elders! Now that Su Han has fallen into his hands, even if he survives, he’ll be skinned alive!”

Recognizing the identity of this Law Enforcement Elder, the crowd grew even more fearful. There were many Law Enforcement Elders, but Tie Wumian was the most feared among them. The disciple who had been sent to the Pit of Ten Thousand Snakes and driven mad was personally escorted there by him. Moreover, anyone he caught misbehaving would face severe punishment. Therefore, the disciples kept their distance, fearing him immensely.

Tie Wumian walked over to Xu Tianlin, inspected the corpse, and then stared expressionlessly at Su Han.

”Audacious Su Han! You dared to openly violate the sect’s rules and murder a fellow disciple in public. According to the rules, your limbs are to be broken, and you are to be imprisoned in the Pit of Ten Thousand Snakes for one month!”

Tie Wumian spoke in a cold, emotionless voice. The punishment he announced sent a shiver of pure terror down everyone’s spines. Imprisonment in the Pit of Ten Thousand Snakes was bad enough, but breaking all his limbs first? That was a death sentence. If Su Han were truly imprisoned for a month, he would surely be bitten to death by the venomous snakes.

For a moment, everyone felt a profound sense of sorrow, their gazes toward Su Han filled with pity.

However, Su Han remained completely calm, showing no trace of fear.

He had no regrets about killing Xu Tianlin. If an opponent was going to launch a sneak attack, using his status to bully a junior, was he supposed to just swallow the insult and stay silent? That wasn’t him. He could show mercy to people like Ye Chen, but for a despicable scoundrel like Xu Tianlin, death was the only answer. As for Tie Wumian, though this was their first meeting, he already had a poor impression of him. It wasn’t just because the punishment was too severe; it was because he had sensed Tie Wumian’s Aura much earlier. That meant Tie Wumian had arrived long ago but had chosen to remain hidden, likely hoping to see a disciple from Tianxuan Peak defeat him. Unfortunately for him, I was too strong. He must have also sensed Xu Tianlin’s sneak attack, yet he didn’t intervene or reveal himself to set things right. Only when Xu Tianlin was dead did he finally appear, passing judgment with righteous airs as if he were the embodiment of impartial justice. Tie Wumian might live up to his name, ’Iron Face,’ but he was far from impartial. He was clearly siding with Tianxuan Peak, and the punishment he just handed down was meant to take my life. I would never believe Qin Wushuang wasn’t behind this. It seems that after learning of my challenge to Tianxuan Peak, Qin Wushuang has launched his counterattack.

”Su Han, you have violated the sect’s rules! Kneel and await your punishment at once!”

Seeing Su Han ignore him, Tie Wumian’s brow furrowed, and he roared in anger. A terrifying Physique Realm Aura pressed down on Su Han, intending to force him to his knees. But even though Su Han was drained of Demonic Qi and covered in wounds, his proud spine would not bend. He gritted his teeth and stood firm, withstanding Tie Wumian’s crushing pressure.

”I never thought there would be a lapdog of Qin Wushuang’s among the Law Enforcement Elders!”

Su Han laughed coldly. His words made Tie Wumian’s face turn a frigid, ashen color, his eyes flashing with uncontrollable rage.

”Insubordination! Su Han, you’ve only added to your crimes. Come with me to the Pit of Ten Thousand Snakes!”

Tie Wumian wasted no more words with Su Han. He reached out, and a chain instantly shot out toward him. This was a whip-chain used by the Seven Stars Sect to imprison criminals. Not only did it have immense binding power, but anyone bound by it would also suffer the agonizing pain of being flogged. It was a truly cruel device.

Su Han used the Character Technique of Motion, his body flickering to evade the chain. However, this only gave Tie Wumian the excuse he needed to act.

”Resisting law enforcement! You cannot escape your fate!”

Tie Wumian attacked directly. He thrust out his right hand, and the Spiritual Energy of heaven and earth surged, condensing into a Spiritual Qi Giant Palm a kilometer wide. It was so solid it looked real, its palm lines distinct, and it crashed down toward Su Han with a murderous aura.

Tie Wumian was a Physique Realm powerhouse, an expert Su Han couldn’t possibly resist in his current state. Furthermore, the Spiritual Qi Giant Palm was so enormous that Su Han couldn’t dodge it, even with the Character Technique of Motion.

A glint flashed in Su Han’s eyes as he tightened his grip on the Black Blade, preparing to fight to the death.

Indifferent to life and death; if you don’t submit, then fight!

The onlookers wore desolate expressions, unable to watch the tragic fate that awaited Su Han. But just then, a bolt of Thunder Light suddenly appeared. The bolt of light seemed to split space itself, crossing thousands of meters in an instant. It struck first despite being unleashed later, appearing right before the Spiritual Qi Giant Palm.

In the next moment, the Thunder Light tore through the Spiritual Qi Giant Palm. Its momentum unabated, it slammed viciously into Tie Wumian. He let out a piercing scream and collapsed to the ground, severely injured and on the verge of death.

Only then did the roar of thunder arrive from the distance.

”Who the hell do you think you are, daring to bully my disciple?”
