Fate-Defying Demon Emperor

Chapter 130: Chapter 130: Whoever Flinches is the Dog

Su Han recalled the mission information specifically noting that the Bloodthirsty Demon Child was resourceful and his movements were erratic. Even Tian Yunshan, leading numerous experts, had failed to hunt him down, yet Yun Mokong had killed him so easily with a single spear thrust. This is way too easy! Something’s not right!

Su Han narrowed his eyes, quickly noticing that something was amiss. The Bloodthirsty Demon Child, despite having his head pierced, hadn’t shed a single drop of blood or cried out in pain. Most importantly, he hadn’t used any defensive means or even taken out a Dao Artifact. As a True Disciple of the Heavenly Demon Cult, his status was equivalent to a Star Child of the Seven Stars Sect. He surely would have been granted a Dao Artifact by his sect.

From beginning to end, the Bloodthirsty Demon Child had only used a furious torrent of blood-red light. His strength was completely inconsistent with the description in the A-grade mission.

”Tongyan, Yun Mokong, sooner or later I will kill you both! I will drain your spirit blood and make you pay a terrible price!” the Bloodthirsty Demon Child shrieked, uttering a vicious threat.

The next moment, with a BANG, the Bloodthirsty Demon Child suddenly self-destructed.

A devastating explosion swept out, instantly engulfing a hundred-meter radius. Buildings collapsed and the ground cracked, turning the area into a ruin.

Su Han recalled his small cloud boat. He deployed both the Dragon Phoenix Protection and Adorned with Stars and Moon to withstand the explosive blast.

On the other side, Tongyan and Yun Mokong used their own techniques and were not seriously injured. However, the Bloodthirsty Demon Child had vanished, or rather, had been annihilated in the self-destruction.

”Another Blood Puppet. That Bloodthirsty Demon Child is truly a nuisance. This is the third one we’ve destroyed,” Yun Mokong remarked, his expression turning grim. A Blood Puppet? What is that?

Su Han was filled with doubt. Just then, Tongyan retracted her Phenomenon and Flame Spirit Dao Sword. Seeing his confusion, she offered an explanation.

”A Blood Puppet is a secret technique of the Heavenly Demon Cult. It is created from a drop of the user’s essence blood and a wisp of their Divine Sense, which is then fused with the lifeblood of one hundred thousand beings. It can possess the exact same appearance and aura as the Original Body, making it nearly impossible to distinguish from the real person. However, a Blood Puppet’s strength is generally weak, possessing only one-tenth of the Original Body’s power, so it isn’t difficult to deal with.”

”The Bloodthirsty Demon Child is very cunning. He rarely acts personally, instead using Blood Puppets to slaughter commoners and collect their lifeblood. We’ve ambushed him twice before, and both times we only encountered Blood Puppets. We thought we’d finally face his Original Body this time, but I never expected him to have a third.”

Tongyan also sounded a little disappointed. After all, her goal on this trip was also to kill the Bloodthirsty Demon Child. In a direct confrontation, though they were both at the Sixth Layer of the Phenomenon Realm, she was confident she could defeat and even kill him.

However, the Bloodthirsty Demon Child was far too crafty, never giving them a chance for a frontal assault. His movements were unpredictable, and even her Qi Observation Technique couldn’t locate him.

”Hmph! If that Blood Puppet had collected enough lifeblood, it would have surely sent it to the Original Body. We could have followed the trail and captured him, but you ruined everything!” Yun Mokong snorted coldly, staring at Su Han with undisguised displeasure, his words dripping with resentment.

They had been lying in wait inside the city, intending to follow the trail to root out the Bloodthirsty Demon Child’s Original Body. They never imagined Su Han would suddenly appear, shatter the Eight Directions Blood Killing Formation, and startle their target. Now that the Blood Puppet had self-destructed, the Bloodthirsty Demon Child would have certainly sensed it, making it even more difficult to find him.

”Su Han was only eager to save people. He didn’t do it on purpose,” Tongyan spoke up on his behalf, but it was clear Yun Mokong was not about to forgive him.

”Allow me to introduce you. This is Yun Mokong, the Crown Prince of the Tiayun Dynasty, ranked seventh on the Azure Cloud Rankings, and also the Star Child of your Seven Stars Sect’s Kaiyang Peak,” Tongyan said, changing the subject and explaining Yun Mokong’s background to Su Han.

Kaiyang Peak, one of the seven Spirit Peaks... I didn’t expect this Yun Mokong to be a Star Child, and one whose strength is even greater than Luo Hongyi’s. He’s also the Crown Prince of the Tiayun Dynasty. With the Bloodthirsty Demon Child slaughtering people within his dynasty, it makes sense for him to be here. But if he was already here, why would the sect issue this A-grade mission? It seems Yun Mokong has been hunting the Bloodthirsty Demon Child for quite some time with little success, which is why the Seven Stars Sect sent more disciples. Judging from the Blood Puppet today, this Bloodthirsty Demon Child indeed seems rather troublesome.

”You’re the Su Han who’s supposed to fight Senior Brother Qian Xuan in a life-and-death duel?” Yun Mokong had now learned Su Han’s identity and couldn’t hide a flicker of surprise. He had been here the whole time, lying in wait for the Bloodthirsty Demon Child, so he hadn’t been at the Seven Stars Sect. But he still heard news about the sect, especially something as major as the three-month pact between Su Han and Qian Xuan.

He sized Su Han up from head to toe before sneering with disdain.

”Your Physique isn’t bad, but your Realm is too low and your strength is pathetic. Killing Qian Yuan was a fluke. I really don’t know where you find the audacity to defy Senior Brother Qian Xuan. You’re truly courting death! If I were you, I would have kneeled and begged for mercy, pleading with Senior Brother Qian Xuan to let you off. If that didn’t work, you should have stayed in the Seven Stars Sect to cultivate diligently and obediently await your death in three months, instead of coming here to muddy the waters.”

Yun Mokong’s words were harsh, causing Su Han’s brows to furrow. This was their first meeting, and they had no prior history, yet the man was relentlessly aggressive, speaking to him with nothing but contempt.

Su Han glanced at Tongyan and understood immediately.

Tongyan is not only a prodigy of the Myriad Treasures Pavilion, but also as beautiful as a fairy. This must have sparked Yun Mokong’s affections, leading to his enduring pursuit. My disrupting their plan was just a pretext. Yun Mokong’s real hostility is because of Tongyan. He sees her as his personal prize and me as a rival, which is why he’s been trying to crush me from the very beginning.

However, Su Han was no pushover. And while Yun Mokong was strong, it wasn’t as if Su Han had never killed a Star Child before.

”Trying to put me down to show off and get Miss Tongyan’s attention? I have to say, that’s a pathetic tactic,” Su Han said, mercilessly exposing Yun Mokong’s petty scheme. ”My duel with Qian Xuan is my own business. What’s it to you? If you have a problem, we can fight right now. Whoever backs down is a dog!”

With the Black Blade in his hand, Su Han’s fighting spirit blazed, showing no fear.

This caused Yun Mokong’s face to darken completely, his gaze turning on Su Han, filled with violent, murderous intent. A lowly ant dares to humiliate me like this? He’s truly asking to die!

”That’s enough! Our target is the Bloodthirsty Demon Child. Let’s not fight amongst ourselves!” Tongyan intervened, stepping between Su Han and Yun Mokong to stop their head-to-head confrontation.

”I’ll give Miss Tongyan face this time,” Su Han sneered, not backing down an inch, ”but if there’s a next time, I’ll cut you down without mercy!”

This only made Yun Mokong burn with rage, his hatred spiraling out of control. ”Boy, once the Bloodthirsty Demon Child is dead, you’re next!”
