I Just Wanted to Be a Galactic Hunter—Why Am I on the Wanted List?

Sitting across from Loren, Abel Norton was quite satisfied with Loren’s indifferent reaction.

”Of course, the wealth of the nobility never disappoints.”

Old nobles, I’ve found you a big trouble. Please, don’t hold on, just be peacefully buried...

As a seasoned Federation Agent, Abel Norton had seen many Superhumans in his life.

With his considerable experience, he recognized at a glance that Loren was an extremely dangerous existence.

After their brief exchange, he also discovered that Loren was a contradictory being—both insane and rational.

In his judgment, such people often have few weaknesses and act without many constraints.

In his view, a guy like Loren would inevitably become a serious threat to the Federation one day.

But such individuals are usually very hard to kill.

The intuition honed by years of mission experience told him that even if the Security Department paid a terrible price, they couldn’t kill the guy sitting opposite him.And such troublesome individuals typically wouldn’t choose to join the Federation either.

They crave freedom, act unpredictably, and follow no logic.

In his assessment, the only logical thing about Loren was his demand for Spirit Stones.

Thus, loyal to the Federation, he began his own crisis management.

After luring Loren with Spirit Stones to become a Security Department informant—making him half an ally—he eagerly gave Loren a new target.

”The old nobility.”

Go bother them, don’t come after other Federation people.

After all, those guys should have been buried long ago.

Seeing Loren’s interest in the ”old nobility” he described, Abel Norton thought silently to himself:

The Federation should give me an award. I might have just solved a major problem for the Federation...

Yes, in Abel Norton’s eyes, a guy like Loren had the potential to become a major headache.

During the time Loren boarded the aircraft and rested with his eyes closed, Abel hadn’t been idle as he claimed.

On the contrary, he had made many preparations in secret.

After quietly inputting Loren’s appearance and combat style into his communicator, he learned Loren’s identity and information as an Interstellar Hunter.

Originating from the slums of Rotten Star.

Two months ago, he was still an Interstellar Hunter suspected to be a Third Rank Psychic.

He also killed a retired Federation Agent, although the retired agent initiated the provocation, Loren did kill him.

Due to a commission, he exposed the mineral theft conspiracy in the Dusk Star Domain, likely offending the Marquis of that domain.

Then, he arrived at the Jadeite Star Domain where Abel was stationed.

And by the time Abel met Loren, he had grown powerful enough to instantly kill three Seventh-Tier Superhumans and a bunch of mid-tier ones.

In just two short months, Loren’s growth in strength had reached a level that made even Abel’s heart race.

A terrifying speculation arose in his mind.

Loren was different from other Psychics. His Psychic Ability allowed him to massively absorb Spirit Stones, and advancing in Tier seemed to have no bottlenecks for him...

This speculation made Abel Norton see a shadow of a Legendary Psychic in Loren.

Thus, he began his probing and recruitment efforts.

Finally, guided by his rational judgment, he quietly formulated a ”crisis transfer” plan.

And the first step of Abel Norton’s plan had already begun.

Loren was half an ally now and already interested in the old nobility.

The second step of Abel Norton’s plan was to let Loren witness the immense wealth of the old nobility in its entirety tonight.

After seeing so many Spirit Stones, Loren, with his massive demand for them, would certainly not let the wealthy nobility off.

Thereby shifting Loren’s future focus of activity to targeting the nobility.

This was also the fundamental reason he had instructed his superior via the communicator to intercept the other nobles tonight.

After seeing Loren’s information and conducting his own analysis, Abel Norton conceived a complete ”crisis transfer” plan in an extremely short time.

He decided that tonight’s Security Department operation would no longer be about suppressing the three major families.

Instead, they would seize this opportunity, using any means necessary, to fully display the wealth of the three major families before Loren’s eyes.

And they would involve Loren in this feast of division.

To thoroughly ignite Loren’s killing intent towards the nobility!!!

If necessary, Abel Norton had no qualms about using malicious framing tactics.

For example, pinning charges on the three major families for secretly colluding with remnants of the ”Star Traveler Society” and the ”Justice Party,” with the intent to overthrow the Federation.

Such charges would be more than sufficient to wipe out the three major families tonight.

He just needed to fabricate the evidence afterwards. Sometimes, things in the Security Bureau were just that simple.

When I say you’re guilty, you’d better actually be guilty.

If you’re not, then you’re in for a world of hurt...

Thinking this, Abel Norton resolutely rose from his seat.

No hesitation, execute the plan!

The aircraft had already landed outside the compound of the three major families.

The Law Enforcement Department personnel had already entered the compound.

The Energy Department people hadn’t moved yet, still waiting for the Security Department.

It was best for the two powerful departments to make their entrance simultaneously for maximum intimidation.

Abel Norton and Loren walked down the aircraft ramp one after the other.

Security Department agents lined up in two rows at the ramp entrance, welcoming Abel Norton’s appearance.

Davis Feller watched the flashy Abel Norton step out of the aircraft and silently curled his lip.

So pretentious. Does he have to be like that? We’re both powerful departments. Look at me, I’m much more low-key.

After mentally criticizing the other, Davis Feller waited for him to come over and join forces, preparing for the two departments to make a joint, oppressive entrance.

Tonight, we must make the three major families feel the pain!! For fighting me over mining shares!! We’re here to bleed you dry!!

This was the exhilarating fantasy bubbling in Davis Feller’s heart.

Unfortunately, to his disappointment, after stepping out of the aircraft, Abel Norton didn’t come to join him.

Instead, with a grave expression, he looked at the Security Department agents on both sides.

Emerging from the aircraft, Abel Norton’s face was solemn. After taking a deep breath, he addressed his subordinates:

”Security Department personnel, listen up! The situation has changed!!”

”I have just received confirmed intelligence! The Cass family, the Stephen family, and the Augustus family—these three families are colluding with the ’Star Traveler Society’ and maintaining close contact with the old era remnants, the ’Justice Party,’ with the intent to overthrow the Federation! The evidence is conclusive!!”

”As the Federation’s sharpest sword, the time has come for you to prove your worth to the Federation!!”

”Kill! A bloody judgment! I want that after tonight, not a single old noble dares to challenge the Federation’s authority!!”

After speaking, Abel Norton raised his hand high and then swung it down forcefully!

”Move out!”

The Security Department agents swiftly vanished from their spots, charging into the compound of the three major families, beginning indiscriminate slaughter.

Davis Feller stood rooted to the spot, witnessing all this, utterly dumbfounded!!

Damn Security Department, you set me up!!

Weren’t we here to suppress the three major families? You’re actually here for a bloody judgment?!

You should have warned me! I would have brought more people!!

With just this few people, what the hell are you trying to do?! Commit suicide?! You’re crazier than the Nature Sect people!!!

Davis quickly pulled out his communicator from his pocket and called for backup again:

”Hey! Send people, save me! I’ve been screwed over by the Security Department! They’re not here to suppress the three families; they’re here for a bloody judgment!!”

”Report received, Chief Davis. According to your authority, you can only mobilize two Special Situation Handling Teams. More personnel require superior approval. Please wait patiently for a moment.”

”Get lost!! Have you forgotten my surname?! Need I remind you?! My surname is Feller!! Davis Feller!!! In 10 minutes, I want to see sufficient personnel!!”

The other end of the communicator fell into brief silence.

Five seconds later, a different voice came through the communicator, no longer the previous one—a deeper, more resonant male voice sounded:

”Chief Davis, 12 Special Situation Handling Teams have been dispatched, plus a Mecha squad is taking off. Please wait patiently for reinforcements, and above all, stay alive!! I’m counting on you!!”

Getting the answer he wanted, Davis Feller silently hung up the communicator and looked at the two Special Situation Handling Teams beside him, already prepared for combat.

He sighed wearily. ”Tonight... what the hell kind of mess is this...”
