I Just Wanted to Be a Galactic Hunter—Why Am I on the Wanted List?

One of the Federation’s accepted truths.

On the Interstellar Hunter Forum, all kinds of people show up.

Now that consensus needs updating — it should be said that all kinds of creatures show up.

In fact, even a bizarre post from a raven attracted several replies with the same playful tone.

They were earnestly brainstorming solutions for the raven.

My owner is such a big dummy: ”It hurt at first, but I got used to it afterward.”

I take my owner flying every day: ”No, do you really think I’m a newbie?! Pervert, get out!!!”

Owners are the most troublesome: ”Training! You must train them harshly!! These owner-type creatures look cold on the outside, but inside they’re as soft as cake.”

I take my owner flying every day: ”Got any pics? I can use them as reference.”

Owners are cutest, owners are the best: ”Fei Fei, you treat your owner so well. I heard in the Radiant Flow Star Domain there’s an organization called the Psychological and Mental Review Council; they seem to study psychological issues, maybe they can help you.”I take my owner flying every day: ”Seriously, is there not a single proper psychiatrist in the whole Federation??”

A witch who keeps a dragon: ”OP, what race are you? Your intelligence doesn’t seem on par with the other idiots above.”

I take my owner flying every day: ”Wanna know? Pay up!!”

A witch who keeps a dragon: ”Cute rebel, wanna keep~”

I take my owner flying every day: ”You get out too!!”

My owner riding me is the happiest thing: ”You could ask at the Federation Hospital. My owner gets injured frequently and goes there a lot; she said the doctors are decent.”

I take my owner flying every day: ”Got it! Thanks!”

WannaCatchADruidAsPet: ”Waaah, other people’s pets are so obedient, not like my rebellious ones... Oh, I remember someone — the Legendary Psychic Annie Bell, she might help your owner, though she charges quite a lot.”

I take my owner flying every day: ”Thanks! Hope you catch a druid soon!”

...

Perhaps because this post attracted two different crowds, the number of replies — or rather, the variety of creatures replying — was quite large.

Loren even saw one of his forum friends respond to the raven.

When Loren saw those replies on his screen,

the expression on his face was extremely odd, a mix of disdain and reluctant amusement.

The Interstellar Hunter Forum really is tolerant...

What bothered Loren was whether he should step in to stop the raven’s farce.

If the raven were accidentally led astray from now on, that would be bad...

Although the raven was handling itself with ease on the forum, Loren had that nagging feeling that his ”kid” might be getting corrupted.

After much internal struggle, just as Loren was about to intervene and plan a proper talk with the raven,

an unexpected name appeared on the portable computer screen.

Under that name were the usual flurry of replies shouting ”big boss,” ”we captured you,” and ”big boss I am your dog.”

To Loren, anyone who dared to post under their real name on the Interstellar Hunter Forum in the Federation was a big boss.

Annie Bell: ”I think I hear someone calling my name?”

I take my owner flying every day: ”!!! The big boss actually showed up! Save us!! My owner seems to have some psychological issues, what do we do?”

Annie Bell: ”What a cute little one, hugs~ Don’t worry, explain the situation first; I can give a preliminary assessment.”

I take my owner flying every day: ”Okay, big boss.”

I take my owner flying every day: ”My owner used to stay in a relatively safe environment, but due to some events, ended up in a more dangerous place, which made his behavior more extreme, hmm... ’extreme’ is a more accurate term.”

I take my owner flying every day: ”Specifically, he has heightened bloodlust, seems to have no friends, and the only one who can talk to him is me. Before meeting me, my owner was cold and indifferent to others every day.”

I take my owner flying every day: ”But one thing I’m unsure of: maybe my owner was cruel by nature and the previous gentleness was just a disguise, but I feel like deep down he’s actually pretty gentle.”

Annie Bell: ”Wow~ Little one, when that unlucky witch told me about this I was skeptical, but your intelligence level is really high~ and you’re so well-behaved~ I really want to keep you~”

I take my owner flying every day: ”Big boss, be rational. If you cure my owner, I can give you hugs...”

At that point, Loren finally couldn’t hold back.

He quickly typed a line on the screen.

If he didn’t stop the raven soon, Loren felt his own image would become very strange.

ALuckyPetKeeper: ”Maybe you two haven’t been together long; you might not fully understand your owner yet.”

After Loren posted that reply on the forum,

the air in the lounge seemed to quiet for a moment.

The raven knew Loren’s forum nickname.

When it saw that reply, it realized Loren had been watching its every move on the forum all along.

Oh no! Caught by my owner! I should have posted when my owner was asleep!!

The raven quietly turned its head and glanced at Loren cautiously.

Loren’s eyes narrowed, his face expressionless as he returned the look.

Their gazes locked!

The raven quickly turned its head back, then buried its small head under its wing.

As a crow, once discovered by Loren, it silently decided to play ostrich.

They’re both birds, the difference shouldn’t be that big, right...

”Close the forum. You should sleep.” Loren’s voice came from behind the raven.

The flat tone made it impossible for the raven to tell whether Loren was angry.

”Yes sir!! Great master!!”

After saying that, the raven quickly typed a reply on the forum with its claws, then shut the portable computer.

It then dove under the covers and fell asleep instantly.

Soon, the steady sound of the raven’s breathing came from under the blanket.

Loren’s eye twitched; he knew the raven was faking sleep.

Energy creatures do not need to sleep, or at least they don’t fall asleep that fast; it was too deliberate.

In the end, Loren did not press the issue about whether the raven truly slept.

Letting this farce end was enough...

Loren picked up his portable computer and looked at the raven’s last reply on the screen.

I take my owner flying every day: ”Big boss, my owner found me! Chat later!!!”

Below that reply was the Legendary Psychic Annie Bell’s response.

Annie Bell: ”Alrighty, cute little one~ From your description, my initial diagnosis is that your owner likely doesn’t have an actual psychological disorder.”

Annie Bell: ”Maybe a certain psychological defense mechanism was triggered. Or perhaps he is cruel by nature but is gentler with you; after all, you’re so cute~ who could resist.”

Annie Bell: ”For a detailed diagnosis, little one, bring your owner to see me in person. I live in the Main City of the Central Star Domain.”

Silly bird, really troublesome after all.

Loren silently stared at the two nicknames on the screen, wondering what they were thinking.

”Annie Bell,” and ”A witch who keeps a dragon.”

Interesting — they actually want to keep that silly raven...
