Rebirth before Apocalypse: My Whole Family are Bigshots!

Chapter 212: Chapter 212: My Grandpa Can Talk

Fan Tangtang blinked at Bai Xiqin, wanting to speak but holding back.

Big brother’s sister, when are you planning to kill Brother Zhang?

I’ve been waiting for ages!

”Tangtang, how have you been lately?”

Bai Yifan, afraid that Fan Tangtang might say something shocking, quickly changed the topic.

Mainly because Fan Tangtang’s expression was too obvious, making it easy for Bai Yifan to guess his thoughts.

He was worried that whatever came out of Fan Tangtang’s mouth might cause a public embarrassment!

”I’m fine.”

Fan Tangtang nodded softly, blinking his big, grape-like eyes at Bai Yifan.

Big eyes, big confusion.

Big brother, why haven’t you let your sister deal with big brother yet?

Bai Yifan touched his nose, pretending not to understand Fan Tangtang’s expression.

It was something said days ago, he’d already forgotten what he said back then.

Bai Xiqin looked at the soft and fair-faced Fan Tangtang, couldn’t resist, and pinched his chubby cheeks.

Fan Tangtang stood in place, allowing Bai Xiqin to pinch him.

Big brother’s sister is so formidable, he had to be on his best behavior.

Leng Yebai and Zhang Yiming both looked at Fan Tangtang’s face; Fan Tangtang innocently blinked, feeling something was odd.

”Tangtang, did you manage to wait for your grandpa last time?”

Bai Xiqin remembered the time in the abandoned factory when Fan Tangtang was waiting for his grandpa.

She didn’t stay till the end, thinking the whole family should’ve reunited by now!

”I did, I’ll call him over right now!”

Fan Tangtang admired and expected a lot from Bai Xiqin, and when he heard her ask about his grandpa, he ran out on his short legs.

Fan Liping reached out to stop him, but Fan Tangtang had already left the living room.

Zhang Yiming frowned, exuding an increasingly intense pressure.

He feared Xiao Niu might get scared upon seeing Fan Tangtang’s grandpa.

But seeing Xiao Niu smiling and looking towards the doorway, he chose not to stop Fan Tangtang from bringing over his grandpa.

If she wanted to see, let her see!

In less than a minute, the fair-skinned Fan Tangtang dragged an old zombie into the living room.

The old zombie’s blank face shrunk back slightly in fear, not daring to look in Zhang Yiming’s direction.

Half an hour ago, it lost consciousness under Zhang Yiming’s terrifying pressure, and upon waking, was dragged here.

The fear of Zhang Yiming was ingrained in its bones.

A decaying smell emanated from the old zombie.

There was a moment of silence in the living room.

This was the first time the Bai Family saw Fan Tangtang’s grandpa.

They assumed that even if Fan Tangtang’s grandpa wasn’t human, he’d still look somewhat human.

But looking at Fan Tangtang’s grandpa, despite being cleaner and wearing disposable transparent gloves, he looked no different from the zombies outside!

The decaying flesh on his face was no less than that on the howling zombies outside!

”Miss, this is my grandpa.” Fan Tangtang introduced, dragging the old zombie with decaying flesh in front of Bai Xiqin, with a well-behaved face, ”Grandpa, this is the big brother’s sister, she’s really amazing!”

After the introduction, Fan Tangtang then lifted the old zombie’s hand towards Bai Xiqin’s right hand.

This was to shake hands.

Fan Tangtang knew that shaking hands was the most basic etiquette.

It’s okay if grandpa didn’t understand, he could teach him.

Just like how grandpa taught him when he was young.

The old zombie’s hand was full of decaying flesh, and the disposable transparent glove seemed to be newly worn, through which blackened decaying flesh could be seen.

Bai Xiqin paused for a bit, then calmly extended her finger to gently shake the decayed fingers inside the glove.

The old zombie’s glazed eyes slowly moved, its decayed fingers wiggled a bit, then slowly retracted.

Zhang Yiming sat on the sofa, quietly observing the handshake between the fair fingers and the decayed ones.

Time seemed to freeze in that moment.

He pressed his dry eyes with his slender fingers, said nothing, just silently watched.

Just watching, exhausted all his strength.

Fan Liping’s wife glanced at Zhang Yiming, initially wanting to stop Fan Tangtang from allowing his grandpa to shake hands with the Bai Family, but seeing Bai Xiqin’s unbothered expression, they felt relieved.

To them, having someone accept their father and son was the happiest thing.

”Uncle, this is my grandpa.” Fan Tangtang led the old zombie to Bai Yifan, then raised the old zombie’s right hand towards Bai Anhai.

Fan Tangtang still understood basic etiquette; he learned it in kindergarten.

It’s just that grandpa’s reaction wasn’t great, needing his assistance to complete the handshake.

The disposable plastic gloves were put on his grandpa by him. The kindergarten teacher said, when shaking hands, one should ensure their hands are clean.

But grandpa’s hands could never get clean, so his parents thought of using disposable gloves.

Bai Yifan stood by, looking at the old zombie full of decaying flesh, without fear.

Fan Tangtang’s grandpa looked just like those mindless zombies, yet Bai Yifan felt no fear.

Maybe it was because his big sister was beside him!

Fan Tangtang held the old zombie’s hand, raised it in front of Mr. Bai.

”Hello, I’m Bai Anhai.” Mr. Bai politely shook hands.

”Hello, I’m Bai Zhengxuan.” Mr. Bai shook hands with his shattered values.

”Hello, I’m Bai Yifan.” Bai Yifan smiled at the old zombie and extended his hand for a handshake.

”Hello, I’m Bai Yelan.” Leng Yebai extended his hand with a calm expression.

Taking the opportunity to claim some advantage by changing his surname.

Zhang Yiming: ...

Never seen someone so shameless before!

Wang Yiyun and Liu Jing eagerly watched the old zombie, fingers slightly moving.

So slow!

When will it be our turn for a handshake!

Finally, it was their turn.

After all, the old zombie was an elder, so they couldn’t rudely refuse a handshake.

To experience what it felt like to shake hands with a zombie.

Surprisingly, it felt quite nice, soft and squishy.

After Fan Tangtang introduced his grandpa to everyone, he fetched a chair and helped the old zombie sit down.

Cre-eak.

The old zombie’s knees creaked like they were about to break, finally bending its body to sit on the chair.

Bai Zhengxuan and Bai Anhai initially worried the old zombie might lose control, but seeing it dazed and not pouncing to bite them, they were intrigued.

Turns out, zombies could suppress their bloodthirsty impulses.

The old zombie sat there blankly, not affecting the conversations in the living room.

The scent of blood and flesh filled its nostrils, tempting its throat to move, yet it had no intention of pouncing.

Because Zhang Yiming was there, and Fan Tangtang was there.

Because it now had a sliver of thought, unlike those howling little cuties.

Even just a little was enough to suppress its instincts.

The Bai Family clearly wasn’t to be messed with.

Sometimes, even slightly sentient zombies could distinguish whether someone was prey or predator based on their aura!

The Bai family’s women were unafraid of zombies, chatting freely as they pleased.

”Big brother, my grandpa is really amazing now, he can talk!” Fan Tangtang proudly raised his head.

Grandpa couldn’t speak before, but now he can, thanks to him.

When he was little, grandpa taught him to talk, now he teaches grandpa.

Grandpa never minded him being slow when he was young, and he never minded grandpa being dazed now.
