Clan Rise: Starting as a Grandfather

Chapter 1304: Chapter 846: Second Master’s Imposing Presence (Part 2)

If too few people go out, it might be difficult to manage everything; if too many go out, there might be a risk of leaking some information about the Spirit Source Land.

Yang Zhenshan pondered for a moment, ”We don’t need too many people, primarily just to hold the fort. As for the rest, we can leave it to the Lingxi Yang Family!”

”Assign a few positions to Yang Xiangheng and the others, treat them as our own, but do not disclose too much information to them.”

In fact, it’s not a big problem to reveal some information about the Spirit Source Land, as long as all the details aren’t disclosed.

Some ambiguous information might actually add to the mysteriousness of the Spirit Source Land; while it might attract others’ covetousness, it would also cause some apprehension.

This matter has both pros and cons, but Yang Zhenshan cannot afford to abandon development due to fear.

We cannot only focus on hiding the Spirit Source Land and thus miss the opportunity for its development.

Now that the Sea of Spirit has finally entered a period of peace, and the Twelve Families of the Three Sects need time to lick their wounds, this is a good opportunity for the Spirit Source Land to establish itself in the Sea of Spirit.

Over the years, Yang Xiangheng and others have been well-trained, and it should not be a problem for them to manage Yang Family Town.

As for the issue of insufficient manpower, we can recruit from the outside, and spirit fields can be leased out. I believe many small families would be willing to lease the spirit fields of Yang Family Town.

After settling everything, Yang Zhenshan let everyone go about their business, while he himself returned to the Spiritual Spring Mountain Plateau to cultivate.

These matters only require him to set the tone; the rest can be handled by those below, without needing his concern.

...

On Lingxi Mountain, inside the main hall of the Yang family ancestral residence.

Yang Xiangheng, Yang Xiangdong, and Yang Xiangxi looked a bit apprehensively at Yang Mingzhi, who was dressed in fine attire.

Yang Mingzhi was not tall and didn’t have the imposing build of Yang Zhenshan, but he had an air about him, flanked by ten guards, and personally greeted by Li Chang and Wang Lei.

During this period, Yang Xiangheng felt very uneasy because Yang Zhenshan had not come to Lingxi Mountain for a long time. If it weren’t for Li Chang and Wang Lei’s presence, he would have suspected Yang Zhenshan had abandoned the Lingxi Yang Family.

”Xiang Heng, this is the Second Young Master!” Li Chang stepped forward to introduce him to Yang Xiangheng.

”Second Young Master! Nephew greets the Second Young Master!” Yang Xiangheng quickly bowed.

He had met Yang Minghao before and knew that Yang Minghao was the Third Master, so he naturally understood what Yang Mingzhi, the Second Young Master, represented.

Yang Mingzhi patted him on the shoulder, laughing, ”Haha, we are all family, no need to be so formal!”

”Come, come, let’s sit and talk!”

Yang Xiangheng sat down, feeling nervous, and looked eagerly at Yang Mingzhi.

Yang Mingzhi then turned to Li Chang and Wang Lei, ”Have you told him about father’s matters yet?”

”Not yet!” Li Chang shook his head.

Yang Xiangheng was quite clueless; he didn’t even know that Yang Zhenshan was a Guest Elder of the Illusion Moon Sect, let alone other matters.

Yang Zhenshan used the name of the Lingxi Yang Family for his activities outside, but in reality, the Lingxi Yang Family was unaware of much of what he did.

”Then go ahead and tell them!” Yang Mingzhi said with a smile.

So Li Chang recounted the story of Yang Zhenshan joining the Illusion Moon Sect and securing a family status for the Lingxi Yang Family.

Yang Xiangheng and the others were stunned, their mouths wide open, full of disbelief.

Actually, what they didn’t know wasn’t just this; they weren’t even aware that Yang Zhenshan had long cultivated the Immortal Dao Skill and reached Foundation Establishment, only knowing that he became increasingly mysterious and powerful.

After a long moment of shock, Yang Xiangheng stammered, ”So, does this mean our Lingxi Yang Family is now one of the Twelve Families?”

”No, not the Lingxi Yang Family, but the Yang Family!” Yang Mingzhi said with a smile.

”The Yang Family, right, right, it’s the Yang Family!” Yang Xiangheng quickly responded.

The Lingxi Yang Family was just themselves, but ”Yang Family” represented much more, encompassing Yang Zhenshan’s Yang Family, as well as including the Lingxi Yang Family.

And since becoming one of the Twelve Families, it’s no longer suitable to be called the Lingxi Yang Family; it can be referred to as the Lingxiu Yang Family, meaning the Yang Family of the Sea of Spirit.

Yang Mingzhi looked at them, smiling, ”From now on, you will join our Yang Family. How about we provide you with a salary?”

Yang Xiangheng and his companions exchanged glances, ”Has the uncle agreed?”

They were somewhat doubtful of Yang Mingzhi, not because they thought he would harm them but because they felt a bit uneasy.

They still trusted Yang Zhenshan more.

”Of course, without father’s indication, I wouldn’t have come here!” Yang Mingzhi did not blame them.

”Then we are willing to follow the Second Young Master’s arrangements!” Yang Xiangheng said.

Yang Mingzhi nodded slightly, ”Very well, from today onwards, your Lingxi Yang Family will fully integrate into the Yang Family, including both people and ancestral properties; everything will belong to the Yang Family!”

Upon hearing this, Yang Xiangheng felt a heavy heart, thinking that this meant there would no longer be a Lingxi Yang Family in the future?

”Second Young Master, I have a question!”

”What is it?”

”In that case, will we not be able to keep our ancestral hall?”

Yang Xiangheng asked cautiously.

He could let go of other things, but he could not forget his roots!

Yang Mingzhi smiled, ”Why would that be? You probably misunderstood my meaning.”

He pointed at Li Chang and Wang Lei, ”In the future, you will join the Yang Family like them, serving the Yang Family, and the Yang Family will pay you salaries, but you don’t need to change your surname or recognize us as ancestors, even if you wanted, we are not willing!”

Although everyone carried the surname Yang, the two families were truly unrelated.

Because he couldn’t disclose too much information to them, Yang Mingzhi said they would serve the Yang Family, but if Yang Xiangheng understood the situation of the Spirit Source Land, he wouldn’t have misunderstood.

”Oh, I see, it was my inappropriate assumption!” Yang Xiangheng said with an awkward smile.

Yang Mingzhi continued, ”Our Yang Family will establish the Spiritual Beauty Hall in Yang Family Town, managing all family affairs in the Sea of Spirit, with one Hall Master and two Vice Hall Masters, you will be the Vice Hall Master being mainly responsible for Yang Family’s executive affairs!”

”We will also set three third-rank stewards to oversee spirit field cultivation, and four sixth-rank stewards can act as your assistants.”

The Spiritual Beauty Hall will report to Yu Heng Tower in the future, serving as its base in the Sea of Spirit, while Tianquan Tower will also set up a branch in Yang Family Town, tasked with trade between Spirit Source Land, Illusion Moon Sect, the Lu family, and the Ji family.

Moreover, the Commerce Department will remove its shops from Snow Valley Town, ceasing operations in the Sea of Spirit and surrounding areas.

This withdrawal primarily aims to save manpower and to prevent dispersing forces too thin, which could provide opportunities for exploitation.

In essence, the Spirit Source Land will maintain only this outpost in the Sea of Spirit, alongside Yang Family Town.

”Regarding specific salary details, hmm, Li Chang, you inform them,” Yang Mingzhi took a sip of tea.

Li Chang immediately stepped forward to explain the cultivation salary and job position salary of the Spirit Source Land to Yang Xiangheng and others.

The salaries at the Spirit Source Land are divided into cultivation salary and job position salary, both paid in Spirit Stones and merit points.

Cultivation salary for Qi Sea Stage is sixty low-grade Spirit Stones per year, Earth Evil Stage is one hundred and twenty, and Heavenly Gang Stage is two hundred and forty per year.

Position salary, the positions including steward and hall members, are divided into nine levels, starting at one Spirit Stone per month, up to nine, Vice Hall Master receives ten, and Hall Master twelve.

For example, Yang Xiangheng, as the Vice Hall Master of the Spiritual Beauty Hall with a Heavenly Gang Stage cultivation, would receive two hundred and forty Spirit Stones annually.

He would also accumulate two hundred and forty merit points annually.

Compared to Spirit Stones, the value of merit points is higher since they can be exchanged for a variety of cultivation resources like Spiritual Wine, Elixirs, and spiritual weapons.

Additionally, the Clan Hall has now opened a channel for converting Spirit Stones to merit points at a ratio of three to one.

”Three to one! Elder Li, you must be mistaken!” Yang Xiangheng exclaimed in surprise upon hearing this.

”No mistake, it’s indeed three to one!” Li Chang confirmed.
