Clan Rise: Starting as a Grandfather

Chapter 1134: Chapter 765: Grand Opening of the Yang Family Winery (Part 2)

He runs a liquor store, only selling alcoholic beverages and tobacco, without providing any meals or other goods.

Therefore, the store’s decoration is relatively simple, with the spacious shop divided into two parts: the left side is a counter for selling alcohol, and the right side has two tea tables for tea and wine tasting.

The style of decoration leans towards elegance, without overly luxurious embellishments.

Of course, simplicity is only on the surface; the true opulence is hidden in those inconspicuous items.

A three-foot-high Three-legged Golden Toad carved from Cold Pine Spirit Wood is placed on the counter.

Cold Pine Fruit is merely a very ordinary Spirit Fruit, but there aren’t many willing to use the Cold Pine Fruit Tree for wood carving.

After all, it is a Spiritual Fruit Tree.

But for Yang Zhenshan, he has plenty of such spirit wood.

The Spirit Source Land has planted a large number of spiritual fruits over the years and due to changes in planning, quite a few Spiritual Fruit Trees have been cut down.

Among them are trees that have grown for decades.

And these woods are still kept, unused.

Besides the Three-legged Golden Toad, there are a few other wood carvings inside the shop made from spirit wood.

Additionally, to match the store’s elegant style, Yang Zhenshan placed many Spiritual Medicines as decorations.

Rarely seen Snow Lotus, Green Cloud Tangerines, Golden Sword Orchids, and so forth.

Anyone knowledgeable would recognize the luxury upon seeing these.

”Not bad!” Yang Zhenshan looked at the shop’s decorations and nodded in satisfaction.

Luo Zhen smiled and said, ”Now we just wait for the opening, when does the Family Head plan to start?”

Yang Zhenshan stroked his beard and said, ”Send out the invitations tomorrow, and we open in three days!”

”By the way, were there any tokens among the items taken out yesterday?”

Currently, he is the only one who can freely come and go from the Spirit Source Land, so he personally brings out whatever is needed here.

However, the items were prepared by Commerce Department Deputy Minister Zhen Tao, and he hasn’t carefully checked some of them, just dumped them into the backyard warehouse.

”Yes, I’ve placed them behind the counter. I’ll go fetch them now!” Luo Zhen said and moved to the counter to bring out a small box.

Opening the box, thirty exquisitely crafted jade tokens were revealed, each about palm-sized. The front side had the character ”Yang” carved on it, surrounded by lotus patterns, and the back side depicted some runes along with a line of poetry.

A spring breeze is like an honored guest, it ushers in prosperity upon arrival!

Indeed, these are the VIP cards for the Yang family winery, commonly known as VIP tokens, formally termed the Yang Family Spring Breeze Order.

The tokens are crafted using high-quality warm jade and engraved with a talismanic restriction, making them extraordinarily hard and not easy to damage.

This talismanic restriction is a recent development from the Array Formation Department of the Secret Skill Pavilion, an elementary form of array, composed of restrictions, which are themselves composed of runes.

Runes form restrictions, restrictions form arrays, which is the basic explanation of arrays.

Currently, the Array Formation Department is studying and getting familiar with restrictions, so Yang Zhenshan has them practice on these jade tokens.

”Family Head, what use does these tokens have?” Luo Zhen asked.

Yang Zhenshan picked up a token, his lips slightly curling, and said, ”This is our VIP token, carrying it and shopping at our store, you’ll get a twenty percent discount!”

”Twenty percent off!” Luo Zhen was stunned.

”Moreover, after the opening tomorrow, a three-day promotion will offer fifty percent off for all customers buying wine!”

”Fifty percent off, isn’t that too low?” Luo Zhen exclaimed.

Being a businessman himself, he naturally understood Yang Zhenshan’s reasoning, but such discounting would mean a loss.

Don’t think that brewing in the Spirit Source Land is without cost; the wines brewed here are made using Spirit Rice, Spiritual Medicine, and Spirit Fruits, which could be exchanged for Spirit Stones outside, thus warranting cost calculation.

Yang Zhenshan said, ”We are new here, to get noticed we must make a big splash; losing a bit now doesn’t matter, we’ll surely earn it back in the future!”

For pricing Spiritual Wines, Yang Zhenshan referred to the Fan family’s Ice Soul Spirit Wine and several types of Spiritual Wine from the Sea of Spirit.

Hundred Herbs Brew, thirty Spirit Crystals per pound.

Peach Blossom Brew, apricot blossom brew, plum wine, twenty Spirit Crystals per pound.

Drunken Immortal Brew, eighty Spirit Crystals per pound.

Treasured Hundred Fruit Brew, thirty Spirit Stones per pound.

These were last year’s brews; if aged, prices would rise slightly.

The wine jars come in one pound, five pounds, and ten pounds sizes.

Though these prices look cheap, once a batch of regular customers is cultivated, selling tens of thousands of pounds annually should be easy.

Never underestimate the spending power of wine lovers; Old Wino An Yuxing alone consumes over a thousand pounds yearly.

If this shop can sell ten thousand pounds in a year, the turnover reaches three to four thousand Spirit Stones, after deducting rent, material costs, labor, profit should be around two thousand Spirit Stones.

Yang Zhenshan believes selling ten thousand pounds a year is quite feasible.

Snow Valley Town has nearly thirty thousand Martial Artists, with nearly ten thousand Innate Martial Artists; it’s implausible they can’t consume even ten thousand pounds a year.

Moreover, the wines are cultivation resources with numerous benefits for cultivation.

Their effects are extremely gentle, nurturing Martial Artists, comparable to many Elixirs.

Eating too many Elixirs can lead to Pill Poison; Martial Artists cannot consume Elixirs too frequently, but there’s no such concern with Spiritual Wine.

...

The next day.

Morning dew still clung under the blue-tiled eaves, the ”Yang Family Winery” four-word plaque just shed its red silk, Luo Zhen stood before the winery pouring wine from a pewter jug in a heavenly offering; the clear wine splashed onto the green stone pavement, immediately diffusing a rich aroma that drew curious glances from neighbors nearby.

Several neighbors surround Yang Family Winery, across is a medicinal herb shop staffed by a grandfather and grandson duo; Old Doctor Zhang is somewhat renowned here in Snow Valley Town.

Next door is a tailor shop that sews garments from all kinds of materials, also selling various leather goods.

On another side is a casting workshop much like Nanxia County’s Spirit Flame Foundry, a small artifact refining workshop capable of crafting low-grade spiritual weapons and repairing some armor.

These few shops are old establishments in Snow Valley Town, thriving through time accumulated business; though their location is less ideal, their trade is decent.

For days the Yang Family Winery has been renovating, and this street’s shopkeepers and workers all knew, many had come to inquire, now with the winery opening today, they gathered to watch the show.

”Young man, are you selling Spiritual Wine?” The seamstress Lady Cui asked curiously.

Women love gossip; actually, she had been here several times and asked this question many times, but she asked yet again today.

Luo Zhen cupped his hands courteously and replied with a smile: ”Sister Cui, haven’t I told you? We are selling only the finest wines!”

”Dear neighbors, the shop opens today, why not come inside and taste?”

”Haha, just enter our shop, and you can taste three wines for free; plus, we have promotional opening discounts; for the next three days, all Spiritual Wines are half price!”

”Free tasting?” Lady Cui’s eyes instantly lit up, as many around also showed eagerness.

”Come, come, please step inside!” Luo Zhen enthused warmly, inviting everyone into the shop.

In just moments, the originally empty store became bustling.

Several attendants brought out pre-prepared wine, each type with ten cups, waiting for everyone to taste.

”I’ll try first!” Lady Cui was the boldest, unabashedly stepping forward, picking up a cup of wine, and without waiting for introduction, she drank it all.

The cooling wine entered her mouth, a faint peach blossom fragrance permeated her nostrils; as the wine descended into her belly, a warm aura spread across her body instantly; Lady Cui felt a surge of warmth throughout her being, ripples arose in her Dantian’s Qi Sea, her long unadvanced cultivation surprisingly showed movement today.
