Clan Rise: Starting as a Grandfather

Chapter 1119: Chapter 758: Fleeing in Disarray

”What’s going on?” Yang Zhenshan looked at Lan Peng.

Lan Peng also had a puzzled expression.

This sound was clearly abnormal.

Too loud, too sharp, it wasn’t thunder, it felt more like a collision of True Yuan and Spiritual Power.

Those stepping out of the ancient array all stopped, each with a face full of uncertainty.

They all felt something was amiss, but having not yet stepped outside, they were unaware of the situation outside.

And soon, voices outside the array echoed again.

”Hahaha~~ So, Duan Qingyun, you old fool, it’s you trying to break the array this time!”

”You Mingxiu, how dare you!”

”Old fool, I don’t like your tone. Why should the Ancient Relic Array be occupied only by your Sea of Spirit’s Three Sects? Our Nether Prison Sect can’t have a share!”

”No matter what, today our Nether Prison Sect must take a share!”

”Kill!”

Words like thunder rolled into the array, followed by chaotic shouts and sounds of battle.

Yang Zhenshan and Lan Peng exchanged another glance, understanding the situation.

The Nether Prison Sect, a demon sect from the east of the Sea of Spirit, has always been the greatest enemy of the Sea of Spirit’s Three Sects. Their adversarial relationship has lasted for a thousand years.

It is precisely because of their enmity with the Nether Prison Sect that the Sea of Spirit’s Three Sects maintain a facade of alliance.

Considering their ability to be adversaries of the Three Sects, the Nether Prison Sect’s power is imaginable.

A sect capable of contending against the Three Sects, its terrifying strength exceeds imagination.

The Ancient Relic Array is a piece of blessed land, filled with countless spiritual objects, along with cultivation techniques and legacies left by the ancient sects. The Three Sects possess this blessed land, which the Nether Prison Sect has long coveted.

However, every time the array is opened, it requires the action of three Martial God Realm experts. Though the Nether Prison Sect has coveted it for long, it has never truly acted to seize it.

This time, unexpectedly, the Nether Prison Sect has acted.

Moreover, they chose to strike just as everyone was emerging from the array.

Indeed, at this moment, each person is carrying a considerable amount of treasure. Unable to occupy the array, striking now yields tremendous rewards.

Yang Zhenshan’s mind raced, seeing people ahead still in shock, he said to Lan Peng, ”Let’s go, there’s still a chance to escape now. If we wait any longer, we’ll likely be trapped in the array!”

Although outside there are three Martial Gods from the Three Sects and two Martial God level Divine Beasts, since the Nether Prison Sect has opted to act, they’ve certainly made all necessary preparations.

The Three Sects might not be able to guard this Ancient Relic Array nor protect all of them.

Right now, the outside is the most chaotic. It’s possible there’s still a chance to flee. If the dust settles on the two sides’ battle, then stepping out would mean becoming prey for the Nether Prison Sect.

Lan Peng was no fool. He instantly realized, and without a word, he carried Lu Youning and rushed toward the gap.

Yang Zhenshan took the lead, Lan Peng followed, the two charging forward out of the layers of fog.

Just emerging, Yang Zhenshan felt the violent waves of spiritual power, the cries of battle, the clash of True Yuan and Spiritual Power overwhelming.

At a glance, he saw everywhere was full of fighting martial artists, in the sky, terrifying waves of spiritual power followed one another. More terrifying were the battling giant beasts, seemingly destroying heavens and earth.

Besides the Heavenly Turtle Beast of the Wuxiang Sect and the Illusion Moon Fox from the Illusion Moon Sect, there were three more terrifying giant beasts.

A Jiao Long with a completely dark black body, yes it was a Jiao Long, a large snake with horns is precisely a Jiao Long!

Two giant tigers with two wings.

These Divine Beasts were enormous in size, the battle scenes were extremely awe-inspiring.

As for those Martial God experts, due to their relatively smaller size and being too far away, their specific situation couldn’t be seen clearly, only dazzling eruptions of spiritual power could be seen.

Besides the airborne battle, around were many martial artists cloaked in black robes battling with the Three Sects’ Twelve Families.

Initially, the Twelve Families had no manpower arranged to come, but now they had sent individuals to receive those emerging from the array.

The battle was chaotic; Yang Zhenshan couldn’t make sense of the situation for a moment.

However, that wasn’t important. What was crucial was to escape from here quickly.

With just a glance, Yang Zhenshan immediately made a decision, without a word, charging towards the west along the edge of the array.

Lan Peng also took just a glance before closely following Yang Zhenshan.

At this moment, he had no choice but to follow Yang Zhenshan, otherwise, he wouldn’t be able to carry Lu Youning and rush out.

But Yang Zhenshan had only just rushed less than a hundred meters when he ran into three martial artists clad in black robes, it was obvious they were from the Nether Prison Sect.

”Damn it!”

Yang Zhenshan cursed under his breath, but the spear in his hand flew forward with a thrust.

The three black-robed martial artists were initially full of joy seeing Yang Zhenshan, for he clearly looked like someone who had just come out of the array, and their target was precisely people like Yang Zhenshan.

Spiritual Medicine, Spirit Fruit, minerals, cultivation techniques, even magic artifacts and legacies from ancient cultivators.

If they could capture one, it’d be a huge achievement.

However, they seemed not to expect Yang Zhenshan’s attack to be so sharp, they were momentarily caught off-guard.

Yang Zhenshan didn’t care about their thoughts, his sole intention was breaking through.

As a battle-hardened veteran, he understood the situation was extremely perilous.

Outnumbered and under sudden attack, all of the Three Sects and Twelve Families’ forces were trapped in a siege.
