Clan Rise: Starting as a Grandfather

Chapter 910: Chapter 655: The Emperor’s Turn Comes to My Family Next Year! (Part 2)

They won’t even think of rebelling, let alone become insurgents.

But Yang Mingzhao is different, this young man is too emotional, cannot bear the sight of human suffering, and has too much sense of responsibility. When he sees the people suffer, he thinks of helping them.

“What are your plans next?” Yang Zhenshan continued to ask.

Yang Mingzhao fell silent again, and Yang Zhenshan didn’t rush him, allowing his silence.

Yang Mingzhi and Yang Minghao looked at him, waiting for his answer.

After a long time, Yang Mingzhao suddenly said, “Father, I want to be the Emperor!”

With these words, Yang Mingzhi and Yang Minghao grinned.

Yang Zhenshan’s face remained calm and unruffled.

“Are you sure!”

“Yes, I’ve decided!” Yang Mingzhao showed a determined look.

Yang Zhenshan stroked his long beautiful beard and fell silent.

“You have to ask Chengye about this!”

“If he also wants to be the Emperor, then you cannot!”

Being the Emperor, Yang Zhenshan didn’t think there was anything impossible about it!

The Emperor changes hands every year, next year it’s my family’s turn!

Even before Yang Mingzhao returned, Yang Zhenshan had already thought that this might be the outcome.

For children and grandchildren, blessings are their own!

If you want to do it, then go ahead and do it.

But between Yang Chengye and Yang Mingzhao, only one can be the Emperor in Da Rong!

Moreover, at present, it is easier for Yang Chengye to become Emperor, because he commands enough troops.

The Taiping Army!

In Yang Zhenshan’s eyes, they are nothing more than a motley group.

By comparison, Chongshan Town is full of elite troops.

“Ah!” Yang Mingzhao was taken aback, “If Chengye wants to do it, then let him do it!”

Yang Zhenshan resisted the urge to roll his eyes.

Apparently, this kid doesn’t really want to be the Emperor, he just wants a regime change to give Da Rong’s people a bright and clear world!

For ordinary people, the throne and power carry infinite allure.

Yet, for the Yang family, the throne has no great attraction.

Yang Zhenshan himself doesn’t care about those pretentious powers, and most other members of the Yang family are not very concerned either.

Perhaps Yang Mingzhi was more interested before, but now Yang Mingzhi has no such thoughts.

He just doesn’t want to be idle, he wants to do something, to find a sense of achievement.

Compared to power, martial arts are their pursuit.

“You discuss it with Chengye yourself!” Yang Zhenshan said.

Yang Mingzhao thought about it, scratching his head, “Isn’t it inappropriate for me to discuss it with Chengye?”

“There’s nothing inappropriate!” Yang Zhenshan looked up at him, “If both of you want to be Emperor, then one stays in Da Rong, and the other finds a place to establish a new Dynasty!”

The Yang family already has a kingdom, so whether it’s establishing one Dynasty or two, it’s actually the same.

Unquestionably speaking, with the current strength of the Yang family, establishing a Dynasty is not a difficult task.

In the southern Dynasties of Da Rong, and among the many western Kingdoms in the Ten Thousand Miles Sea Domain, given a few years, it wouldn’t be a problem for Yang Zhenshan to conquer two or three Kingdoms.

In comparison, changing regimes in Da Rong is more difficult.

Yang Mingzhao pondered slightly, feeling that it’s better to discuss this with Chengye.

Actually, his desire to be Emperor isn’t very strong either. Though he felt somewhat tempted when talking about being Emperor, he knows being Emperor means losing a lot of fun.

Needless to say, once you become Emperor, you might delay your cultivation.

And if cultivation doesn’t reach the Innate Realm, life expectancy would be the same as ordinary people.

Becoming an Emperor and living several decades longer or nearly a century, when you calculate this, as long as you’re not overly obsessed with power, you should choose to live several decades longer.

Not to say that becoming an Emperor means you can’t cultivate, nor does everyone have the chance to become an Innate Martial Artist, but given the current situation of the Yang family, Yang Mingzhao feels it’s not difficult for him to become an Innate Martial Artist.

Measured this way, he suddenly lost interest in being Emperor.

“Father, shall I make a trip to Chongshan Town?” Yang Mingzhao asked.

“No need, I’ve already sent a letter to Chengye, it should be arriving soon at Chongshan Town!”

Actually, Yang Zhenshan had long considered this problem. Even if he hadn’t anticipated this problem, he felt he should let Chengye come back.

The matter concerns Da Rong, and no matter what, Yang Chengye cannot be left out.

As for other matters, Yang Zhenshan wasn’t very worried.

As a family, anything can be discussed, and the Yang family does not have major internal conflicts; in his heart, the Yang family is still a loving large family.

After deciding, Yang Zhenshan let Yang Mingzhao go.

This guy just got home, it’s better to spend more time with his wife and children.

Of course, Yang Zhenshan wasn’t idle either; he had already instructed the Yang family firm to start gathering news and purchasing grain and various supplies.

…

Chongshan Town, Chongshan Pass.

Currently, Yang Chengye is still just a Guerrilla General in Chongshan Town, but everyone knows he’s the real decision-maker here.

Regardless of what Niu Zhuang does at the General Mansion, he needs to consult Yang Chengye, and the Governor’s Office has become a complete facade. The new governor, named Jiang Nanguo, holds the title of Vice Minister of the Ministry of War and Assistant Imperial Censor, acting as Chongshan Town Governor.

Judging by his official position, he’s a court heavyweight, but in reality, he lost in court battles and was driven to Chongshan Town.

Whether as Vice Minister of War or Assistant Imperial Censor, those are merely honorary titles, his actual position is still Chongshan Town Governor.

But now, everyone knows that the Chongshan Town Governor is just a figurehead, so the court has thrown some officials there who haven’t made major mistakes but have been marginalized.
