Journey of the Fate Destroying Emperor

Chapter 1818: I’ll Do It Myself

”No one can defy fate,” Hundunxi calmly watched the attack approach Wang Wei. For this scheme, countless Saints were used as pawns, and more importantly, everything was done within the rules. Since things are done within the rules, no one can use an excuse to overthrow the board, or there will be consequences.

No matter how powerful a Grand Dao Saint is, they cannot withstand the wrath of Grand Dao once she decides not to follow the rules. Grand Dao — as someone who controls the Path To Transcendence — might not be able to kill these top third-step powerhouses, but she can block their path ahead; she can exile them to terrifying locations.

Boom!

The terrifying attack finally landed, and throughout the entire ordeal, there was no hesitation on Wang Wei’s face; his eyes remained closed as he deciphered the Power Law from this world’s Power force. The domain tried its best to reduce power as much as possible, but even such power, considered taboo, had its limits.

Wang Wei’s body was annihilated. However, he didn’t die. Instead, only in the head did it stand, floating in the vacuum of space. Well, it couldn’t be called space, but a void, since most of the atoms, energy, and spatial structure around him were annihilated.

Lin Fan roared in anger before also using a secret technique to burn his body to unleash an even more devastating blow. Wang Wei’s eyes remained closed. What remained of his flesh and soul were once again annihilated, but he protected two things. First, it was his [Existence]; the last thing he needed right now was an Existence Injury.

Secondly, he protected one atom of his body. He blessed that atom with the method he used to create the Array Virus, making it so small and protected by so many anti-detection measures that even Lin Fan couldn’t easily detect its existence.

”He’s not dead,” Lin Fan uttered. He could sense his opponent was clinging to life by some unknown means. His mind worked on overdrive when he suddenly remembered the Invisible Plague used during the war against the Infinite Divine Court. Like all other factions, the academy was also scared by that weapon and researched its properties. Sadly, their foundation meant they made little to no progress. Luckily, Kong’s Stealers had become a force to be reckoned with, so they stole and bought the information from a few Overlords or Primal Lineages.

Using all the information he knew, Lin Fan soon found that tiny, invisible atom desperately clinging to life. Blessing his Saint Will Prototype with an immense amount of Primordial Chaos Force to ensure instant death, he punched the atom.

Boom!

The world turned all white as all colors disappeared for a brief moment. The Fate Origin Law chanted a hymn of pain and sorrow as one of its sons was about to fall. The Power Force continued to tempt Wang Wei, trying to lure him to use its power to save his life. Heaven and Earth cried, for it had lost one of its most brilliant talents.

But was that true?

Just as Lin Fan was about to celebrate, he sensed something in the position he had just attacked. There, lying perfectly intact, was a floating head with its eyes open. Why did that atom regenerate instead of being destroyed?

”So, that’s how it is,” Wang Wei uttered, ignoring how macabre it was for a floating head to be speaking. ”Grand Dao has played us all for a fool. The Power Laws and the True Power Dao Realm are not separate things, but complementary powers. Cultivators are supposed to use the law to temper their bodies and help them open the gates; the law is a source of energy or power for their evolution.

”Simultaneously, a person who walks the True Power Dao should be able to understand and utilize the Power Grand Dao Source easily. The two are complementary, forming an entire system. However, Grand Dao didn’t want countless body refiners to be drawing power from the Power Grand Dao Source, draining energy from the Chaos Universe. So, she separated the two.”

Thump! Thump! Thump!

A powerful heartbeat echoed throughout the universe. Lin Fan and all the Saints watching immediately sensed that each pump seemed to resonate with the Power Origin Law, and even the Power Force wanted to get involved, but Wang Wei cut them off. Lin Fan’s expression turned ugly, and without hesitation, he continued burning his essence to release another terrifying strike.

The result? Well, not only had Wang Wei’s head remained intact, but most of his body had regenerated. The only sign of injury was a hole in his chest, but anyone with a bit of discernment could tell it was left there on purpose since it was in the exact spot where the heart should have been.

A transparent heart full of runes appeared in the hole. The beating sound intensifies, along with the resonance with the Origin law. After so many years, Wang Guo’s secrets have long been deduced. His Power Grand Dao Source exists in a state between illusion and reality, allowing him to use its power without his body being affected. Unfortunately, no matter how people tried to replicate it, no one had succeeded.

Many people — including Wang Wei — speculated that Grand Dao placed certain restrictions on this method, which is why no one has succeeded. And they were correct. For the most part, it was Grand Dao’s machination that no one was able to replicate Wang Guo’s case. And now that Wang Wei was in a world in which Grand Dao’s influence was at its weakest, he had escaped the hidden rules placed on all body refiners.

The second requirement for this method to work was Essence Source. By now, Wang Wei can confirm that Essence Source exists in the Primordial Timeline, and his ancestor found a small piece of it, which helped establish such a unique foundation and even increased his talent. He also realized he was wrong about Wang Guo’s Double Path being a Great Uniqueness because places like the Primeval Body Mansion definitely have Essence Source and know the truth about the connection between the two paths. They also have the power to resist Grand Dao’s hidden rules.

Wang Wei finished condensing his illusory [Power Source Heart] before growing a flesh and blood heart over it. A strange sensation spread to every part of his body; Wang Wei couldn’t describe it, but if he had to, he would say he felt complete. Like a twin who was separated at birth and finally reunited, he felt whole again.

Glancing at Lin Fan, Wang Wei released a terrifying killing intent. The intent was not pure slaughter or the amalgamation of all the people he had killed. No, it was based on the simple thought that no beings between Heaven and Earth that Wang Wei wanted to kill could escape his grasp. Whether they were Primordial Saints, Tribunal Lords, Grand Dao Saints, or even Grand Dao herself, no one can escape his wrath once he puts his mind to it.

Lin Fan’s cosmic-size body took a step backward as a chill ran down his spine. But then, an immense shame and rage rushed into his mind. ”I am not afraid,” he roared as he attacked Wang Wei once more.

Boom!

One punch. One punch that combined Absolute Control, Supreme Saint Will Prototype, Physical Strength, Power Law, and Wang Wei’s Saint Dao Heart. With that punch, Lin Fan’s body disappeared. However, he didn’t die. According to the talent of Chaos Demon Gods, when their bodies are instantly annihilated, they can revive themselves by shrinking; in other words, until their bodies reach the smallest height, it’s impossible to kill them.

Lin Fan returned, but his body — which was the size of a dozen galaxies — was now only 10,000 meters. A deep fear suddenly overwhelmed Lin Fan’s mind and soul, and in that instant, he wanted to beg for mercy, to ask Wang Wei to think of their past, to remember the friendship with his wife. As long as he lived, it didn’t matter.

”No, I will not beg,” Lin Fan roared in his mind. ”I am a Great Emperor, a Paragon — a being that stands above all sentient races and myriad worlds. Even if I die, I will do so standing straight.” A sense of clarity washed over Lin Fan’s mind; his state of mind was sublimated. Calmly looking at Lin Fan, he smiled, ”Do it.”

Wang Wei glanced at him and gave him a nod of approval. However, there was no hesitation in his action. It may not have been Lin Fan’s intent to push things so far, but his actions had caused too many problems. So, he must die.

”Pangu, Pangu, Pangu, you dare go against Mother’s plan?” Hundunxi sneered. How could such a brilliant person have a flaw that allowed Wang Wei to so easily deal with the hidden rules Grand Dao placed on him? If not for someone else helping him, he could have never condensed that heart. After all, no matter how weak Grand Dao’s influence in the world is, can it be something that a little Paragon can deal with?

”Fine, since you can shamelessly interfere, I have no qualm doing it too.”
