Wang Wei lost track of time as he absorbed as much information as possible about the sanctification process. More than 90% of the available information was things he was not aware of — and that’s not including the notes of Saint, written based on their experiences. Of all the information he found, one in particular caught his attention.

The pinnacle of [Immortality] is when someone condenses Three Saint Foundations and Three Saint Taits. Wan Wei had already dealt with the former, and he had met the requirement for two of the three traits, so he focused on the last one.

The Saint Dao Heart is — without a doubt — the most crucial aspect. It’s the only thing that can help through the sanctification process. The Saint Will Prototype is mostly used for battles, and its main purpose is to make the final transformation of a Saint easier and faster. Lastly, there is the Saint Embryo.

Whether a cultivator first condenses their flesh or soul Quintessence, they will face an issue: one aspect of themselves will be more powerful than the others. Soul Quintessences will find their bodies too weak for their soul, while Flesh Quintessence will feel the opposite. The solution to this issue is to use them to nourish the other and turn it into a Saint Embryo capable of utilizing the quintessence’s power.

But that’s not the end of the Saint Embryo. Primordial Saints must cultivate; the reason most of them are stuck in this realm is not that they haven’t created a method to condense the second Quintessence. Cultivating in the Saint realm involved synchronizing the Quintessence with the Saint Embryo; only when they were in perfect harmony could a Saint proceed to the second step and become a Tribunal Lord.

”Initial, Minor Success, Grand Success, Perfection, and Limit,” Wang Wei muttered. Those five sub-stages decided the cultivation realm of a Primordial Saint. ”The cultivation realm doesn’t determine the strength; the foundation does. And back home, another important aspect of strength is the Critical Hit Path.”

After learning about the Saint Embryo, Wang Wei was determined to achieve it. According to the information he has gathered, establishing a Saint Embryo means he’ll directly enter the Initial Realm of Saint. And if he achieves 10-pillars or higher, he might even reach a higher realm.

”Given how challenging it seems to cultivate in the Saint realm, it’s best to skip as many realms as possible. That way, I can be prepared to enter the second step as soon as possible,” Wang Wei analyzed. He did not waste time and immediately searched for the information he needed.

”What? This world has the True Soul Path?” Wang Wei thought. The process of condensing the Saint Embryo was complicated. After reaching the 5-star Ancestral Fiendgod Realm, the people of this world will start cultivating their soul and the law to condense a [Dao Embryo], which Wang Wei realized was what this world called a Great Emperor’s Dao Body.

Wang Wei did not care about the Dao Embryo, but what shocked him was how the people cultivate the soul. Just like the body has Three Gates, the soul also has Three Apertures. The Absolute Yin Soul Aperture grants a cultivator to cultivate an Emperor Soul; the Limitless Yang God Aperture places a cultivator on par with an Empyrean; finally, the Indestructible Primordial Spirit Aperture can create a Paragon of the Soul Path.

And just like the Pure Body Refining Path, the Soul Apertures can be used in conjunction with the Three Saint Foundation and a higher dimension energy or Qi to become a Soul Ancestor on par with Ancestral Fiendgods. Finally, by injecting the Dao Body or Dao Embryo with the power of law, essence, and spirit, it will turn into a Saint Embryo.

”Soul Apertures? I don’t have such a thing,” Wang Wei thought. He knew his body inside and out, so he was aware he had no such hidden energy organ or potential. But for the sake of his peace of mind, he used the method of opening the first aperture to check again, and the result was as expected. However, Wang Wei did not feel dejected. According to the library, the rules of this world have severely suppressed the cultivation of the soul, meaning that 99.99% of people cannot discover their soul aperture on their own. That’s why the Holy Lands and the Origin Lineages have created dimensions in which the soul rules prosper to help their people.

Without hesitation, Wang Wei left the library and headed directly to the Soul Aperture Tower to cultivate. The tower had four layers; the first three helped cultivators with the three apertures, and the last was the key to achieving the realm of Soul Ancestor. Wang Wei flew to the first floor to see if he could detect the Absolute Yin Soul Aperture.

The result was disappointing. Thinking it was a case similar to the Gate of Ascension, he headed to the other floors to try the others. Sadly, the result was the same. ”What exactly happened between the Ji Ancestor and Grand Dao for the final result to be the complete eradication of the soul apertures?”

Until now, he did not know whether Grand Dao wiped out the apertures out of anger for whether the Ji Ancestor did, or whether the situation was the result of Ji Dingxian’s failure to achieve true transcendence. Regardless of the truth, Wang Wei and many others are the ones suffering.

”The situation might be more complex than I initially thought,” Wang Wei analyzed. ”Most places have lost the Soul Path, but a few worlds still preserve it. But from what I read in the Hong’er library, the surviving soul paths were nothing like these soul aperture methods. Their strength and abilities are on par with the Soul Path I created with Liang Shixian. So, what exactly happened that even the surviving path has twisted so far from its origin?”

The more Wang Wei learns, the more questions he has. At times like this, he wished he were truly omniscient. Unfortunately, that won’t be achieved anytime soon. Wang Wei focused on the task at hand and thought, ”Since I don’t have the apertures, I’ll create my own.”

The process shouldn’t be an issue. After all, the apertures are just an alternate method of creating a Paragon Soul. The crux of the matter is to create apertures on par with the gates; in other words, apertures that can not only lead to the Soul Ancestor realm, but also, technically speaking, can lead directly to condensing the Soul Quintessence.

It was useless to stay in the tower, so Wang Wei returned to the scripture pavilion. He headed directly to the section that mentioned the essence of the soul apertures. On the way here, he had already created an outline for a technique capable of creating artificial apertures; the key is still the potential, not the apertures themselves. The gates are so potent because they embody the body’s limitless potential.

Luckily for him, the library had enough knowledge for him to learn from. After spending years acquiring the information he needed, Wang Wei did not return to seclusion to create the technique. The process is bound to be time-consuming, and he needs to have certain priorities. One of his Saint Traits was almost condensed, so he decided to focus on that first.

”Sir.”

Wang Wei looked at Fangjin, wondering why this man rushed so suddenly. ”Did something happen?”

”We’ve received some information that the Supreme Elder said you have the power to deal with.”

”Oh?”

”Kong has been detected in our territory. He’s been hunted by a Primordial Saint and severely injured.”

Wang Wei frowned. ”And you’re telling me this because?”

Fangjin did not answer. Instead, his eyes indicated that he didn’t need to be coy; you know why we’re telling you.

”Want me to kill or capture him to influence Lin Fan’s mind before the mindset?” Wang Wei shook his head. ”Since the purpose of this fight is to deal with obsession and cause and effect, I must win in a convincing manner, or everything would be pointless.”

”You are wise,” Fangjin bowed. ”In that case, do you want me to return him to the Primordial Holy Land? Maybe have them owe us a favor?”

”No.”

Fangjin looked at him, genuinely puzzled by his intention.

”What’s his current realm?”

”1-star.”

”A bit low, but as a man of destiny, if he reunites with his disciple, he can use all the resources of the holy land to reach the 5-star in record time,” Wang Wei commented. Kong has just caught up with the older generation, so he cannot allow him to become even more powerful.

”Then?”

”Don’t let anything happen to him, but also don’t let the Holy Land take him away — at least, not for a few years until the battle,” Wang Wei said. ”Then, we can hand him over and show them our magnanimity.”

”I understand,” Fangjin nodded before bowing. He disappeared to relay the order. Meanwhile, Wang Wei also headed to the Saint Will Monument.
