I Married the President

Chapter 550: Chapter 550: Why Didn’t You Tell Him These Things?

Adrian Quincy pulled her into his arms, his tone a little displeased. ”I thought you were still mad at Grandpa. I called you, but you didn’t pick up, and you didn’t reply to my texts.”

”Ah, my phone was on silent!” Claire Sinclair suddenly remembered.

Adrian Quincy reached out and pinched her nose. ”Still mad at Grandpa?”

Claire Sinclair glanced at him. ”If you hadn’t come, I would have forgotten all about it.”

Adrian Quincy said, ”I cleared things up with Grandpa. He knows now that it was Yara slandering you.”

Claire Sinclair couldn’t help her curiosity. ”How could Grandpa believe you so easily?”

”He’ll always trust the child he raised a little more.” As he spoke, the two of them arrived at The Great Demon King Quincy’s private car.

Once in the car, Claire Sinclair immediately snuggled into his arms, feeling a little giddy. ”Adrian, did you know? I actually met Grandpa a long, long time ago. Maybe even earlier than my sister did.”

”Oh?” Adrian Quincy’s interest was instantly piqued. ”Tell me about it.”

Claire Sinclair nodded. ”It was a while after my sister first went to the training camp. My grandmother fell ill and was hospitalized. Since there was no one else from my family to take care of her, I was looking after her by myself. Then one day, Grandpa was suddenly hospitalized too. He happened to be in the same room as my grandmother, but he didn’t have anyone to look after him either, so I just decided to take care of them both.”

She paused, then looked up into his eyes. ”Back then, I used to call him Grandpa White-beard. But one day, Grandpa White-beard suddenly disappeared. I searched for him for a long time, but I couldn’t find him. Even the doctors didn’t know what had happened. After that, my grandmother passed away, and I left the hospital.”

After hearing her story, Adrian Quincy finally understood something. ”No wonder when Grandpa first met Quinn, he immediately called me over and had me train her personally.”

”Were you the ones who took Grandpa White-beard back home then?” Claire Sinclair asked.

Adrian Quincy nodded. ”Grandpa had thrown a tantrum and run away from home. He was deliberately avoiding us. We only found him in the hospital later and learned that he’d been in a car accident.”

Claire Sinclair raised an eyebrow. ”Grandpa threw a tantrum and ran away from home?”

’That’s so childish!’

”He wanted me to start dating, but you know my personality. It’s hard for me to just obey.”

Claire Sinclair stared at his solemn face and then burst out laughing. ”Grandpa White-beard is really an adorable person.”

”It’s a shame he didn’t recognize you. Why didn’t you tell him all this?”

”I never got the chance. Besides, I don’t think Grandpa remembered me anyway. He only remembered my sister, so there was no point in me saying anything.”

Adrian Quincy reached out and took her small hand, his voice gentle. ”Grandpa’s memory isn’t very good these days. He probably won’t remember what I told him today by tomorrow. When we go see him, we can be as lovey-dovey as possible in front of him.”

Claire Sinclair muttered under her breath, ”Then wasn’t your explanation to him today a total waste...”

Adrian Quincy said, ”He also won’t remember Yara’s rumors.”

Claire Sinclair was suddenly at a loss for words. ’Nice move.’

The next day, after filming a show for three months and taking a week-long vacation, Claire Sinclair finally returned to the Astoria Daily Press.

As soon as she entered the office, she saw two unfamiliar faces—a Pep Girl with pigtails and a handsome, sunny-looking guy—sitting in the seats that had belonged to two of her seniors.

’Are these... new hires?’

When the two newcomers saw her, they immediately greeted her politely, ”Senior Sinclair, good morning!”

Claire Sinclair paused for a moment. ”Are you two new here?”
