I Married the President

Chapter 7: Chapter 7: Making a Wedding Dress for Others

Piss off!

Unwilling to give up, Claire Sinclair shouted a complaint at his retreating back, ”The men you sent to grab me saw me naked when I was showering in the hotel! All of them saw me!”

Adrian Quincy whipped his head around, a vicious chill emanating from him as if winter had suddenly descended, causing the surrounding temperature to drop by several degrees.

Aiden Howkins felt a shiver run down his spine and hurriedly tried to explain, ”Young Master Quincy, we didn’t—”

Adrian Quincy said through gritted teeth, ”Every last one of them. Deal with them severely.”

”Yes, sir!” Aiden Howkins responded loudly.

The man left, leaving Claire Sinclair with nothing but the sight of his elegant yet heartless back.

Aiden Howkins’s face fell. He was in for it now.

He looked helplessly at Claire Sinclair. He’d been completely caught off guard and played by her. He had really underestimated this girl.

Although he really wanted to teach her a lesson, he still had to be polite to her. ”Young Madam, if you please.”

Claire Sinclair huffed in frustration and turned to leave.

’That bastard, Adrian Quincy! To think he’d use such a despicable, shameless trick to fool me into marrying him. I’ll use the same kind of method to force him into a divorce.’

’Just you wait!’

...

After leaving the hospital, Claire Sinclair got into the same black car she had arrived in, but this time, no one was forcing her.

Aiden Howkins was driving, and he was her only escort.

After a few minutes, Claire Sinclair couldn’t resist testing the waters. ”Aiden, I just got a marriage certificate with Mr. Quincy... Is he actually serious about this?”

Aiden couldn’t help but chuckle. ”Anything Young Master Quincy does is definitely well-thought-out. But him marrying you... Yeah, I’m also a bit... hmm, baffled by it.”

In reality, Aiden knew perfectly well that this marriage was the real deal, not child’s play.

With a woeful expression, Claire Sinclair asked, ”Then tell me, do you think I can divorce him later on?”

”Probably not.”

”Why?”

”Because Young Master Quincy said so.”

”...”

Claire Sinclair felt the urge to curse someone out.

’That stinking man is definitely sick in the head!’

Claire was completely oblivious. Ever since he’d said that, Aiden had been struggling to suppress a laugh.

’This girl is way too easy to fool.’

...

Claire Sinclair had Aiden drop her off back at the Grand Century Hotel, and she disappeared the moment she got out of the car.

Back in room 1202, her laptop was still on. The live sex show had ended long ago, however; Logan Linden and Melanie Sinclair had already checked out.

Claire Sinclair rewound the video, finding the conversation they had before they left.

Melanie: ”Brother Linden, I’m going to miss you so much.”

Logan Linden: ”We did it so many times, and it’s still not enough to satisfy you, you little slut?”

Melanie said coquettishly, ”That’s not it. I’m just thinking that when you go back, you’ll have to suck up to that little bitch Claire Sinclair again. I’m jealous.”

Logan Linden: ”Why would I need to suck up to a classless country bumpkin like her? Melanie, she’s not even one ten-thousandth of who you are. I’m not going to marry her. You’re the woman I’m going to marry.”

Melanie: ”But we’ve been together for almost two years, and you still haven’t broken up with her...”

Logan Linden: ”If I break up with her, who’s going to make money for us? We’re still a long way from the down payment on our house, and we haven’t gotten our hands on Quinn Sinclair’s two million in compensation money yet. We can’t just break up like this.”

...

Fuck!

’Damn it all, so Logan Linden and Melanie Sinclair, that damned couple, have been together for a long time, and they’ve been scheming to take my money!’

’My sister exchanged her life for that two million in compensation! I couldn’t even bear to spend a single cent of it, but that damned couple is actually plotting to get their hands on it. What gives them the right?!’

’For the past two years, I’ve risked getting caught to hack into countless companies and study their code. I’ve pulled so many all-nighters developing software, all just to earn enough money to buy a house for myself and my future husband.’

’And in the end, it turns out all my hard work was just for their benefit.’
