BTTH: Rebirth of Liu Xi

At the same time, Liu Xi and his group, who had just entered the Dou Saint’s relic, did not have it as easy as they had imagined. The very first trial they faced was a raging spatial storm.

The Dou Saint’s relic was beginning to merge with the real world, and the storm tearing through the spatial rift between them was far more violent and unpredictable than expected.

Liu Xi, who entered first, was immediately struck head-on, forcing him to swiftly deploy a Dou Qi barrier to block the storm powerful enough to shred a Dou Zong or severely wound a Dou Zun.

Even then, the barrier could not completely block it. Deep gashes were torn across his face, and his robes were left in tatters. Fortunately, his azure flame, inherited from the Three Thousand Burning Flames, managed to absorb most of the impact.

Once he stabilized himself, Liu Xi quickly turned back and drew Qing Lin into his Dou Qi shield, protecting her delicate face from being cut by the storm. If her robes were ripped apart as his had been, it would have been a springtime disaster.

As he shielded Qing Lin in his arms, he looked up just in time to see Zi Yan entering last. Her entire body was enveloped in a faint purple glow that instantly calmed the spatial turbulence wherever it passed.

Seeing that, Liu Xi relaxed—but Zi Yan blinked, and in the next moment, dove directly into his embrace as well.

With two beauties pressed against him, Liu Xi could hardly afford the distraction. He frowned as he surveyed the chaotic space raging around them. ”Zi Yan, which way do we go?”

Zi Yan closed her eyes for a moment, sensing, before suddenly pointing forward. ”There. Through that storm lies the inner section of the Dou Saint’s relic.”

”Good.”

Liu Xi tightened his hold, his feet moving with precision. Carrying both Qing Lin and Zi Yan, his body blurred into a streak of shadow, darting in the direction Zi Yan had indicated.

With Liu Xi’s immense Dou Qi and Zi Yan’s mastery over spatial force, it took only moments for them to pierce through the wild storm and land within a strange dark corridor.

”Be careful, Young Master!” Qing Lin cried.

Before her voice faded, the dark stone floor erupted in a wave of blue flames that surged toward them.

Liu Xi’s expression didn’t change. In a relic like this, traps were expected—especially those of fire.

A flick of his mind, and a tide of azure fire swept forth. As the blue flames reached his feet, they were instantly forced back, isolated within a circular shield of heavenly flame.

The mysterious blue fire was strong, but it could not overpower a Heavenly Flame. Within moments, the flames around them subsided entirely.

Only then did Liu Xi take a proper look at their surroundings—a deep, pitch-black passage built of dark stone, with a river of magma flowing alongside it.

”Big Brother, I can feel treasures inside this relic calling to us!” Zi Yan exclaimed excitedly, about to rush forward. But Liu Xi reached out and stopped her.

He was gazing at the rolling magma beside them. He knew well that this passage was just a decoy—the real path lay beneath the molten river.

”This corridor is only a façade. The true entrance is hidden under the magma.” Liu Xi smiled faintly.

”Are you sure, Big Brother?” Zi Yan asked in surprise, while Qing Lin blinked in doubt.

”I’m sure,” Liu Xi replied firmly.

Without hesitation, Qing Lin said softly, ”I trust Young Master.”

Zi Yan gave a small smile. ”So do I.”

”Then… let’s go.”

With that, Liu Xi pulled the two of them along, leaping into the magma.

The expected searing heat never came. Instead, it felt like passing through a thin, watery membrane—then suddenly, they landed in a vast hall beneath.

”Beneath the magma… there really is another space! Big Brother, look ahead—that’s a bronze gate! And wait… isn’t that your Heavenly Demon Puppet?” Zi Yan’s eyes widened.

”Let’s move.” Liu Xi only smiled faintly, unsurprised.

Ahead stood twelve Earth Demon Puppets positioned in formation. When joined, their combined energy could empower one to temporarily reach the strength of a 2-Star Dou Zun—formidable, but hardly a threat to them now.

As Liu Xi approached within ten zhang, the twelve puppets, silver as polished statues, lit up with dazzling light. Energy gathered rapidly, forming an array that focused upon the lead puppet, turning its glow to gold as its aura surged to the 2-Star Dou Zun level.

With a sharp whoosh, the puppet lunged, spear flashing like a dragon’s strike.

Liu Xi didn’t even blink. With a casual flick of his wrist, an invisible surge of power tore through the air, striking the puppet square in the chest.

Boom!

The Heavenly Demon Puppet was hurled backward, its chest dented inward, yet it still clutched its spear tightly.

Liu Xi knew these constructs only obeyed fixed orders—no fear, no hesitation.

Before another could attack, his Spiritual Power burst forth from his brow, sweeping over all twelve. Like invisible threads, his will entered their hollow minds, branding them anew.

Whatever soul imprint had once existed had long faded with time. Now, the puppets stood motionless, gleaming dimly under his control.

They bowed respectfully, standing guard at his sides.

Zi Yan pouted, disappointed. ”Big Brother, you took them all already? I wanted to try my strength on them!”

Liu Xi chuckled. ”Twelve puppets combined can barely reach 2-Star Dou Zun strength. You could crush them with a flick of your finger. Better to let them scout ahead.”

As he spoke, the massive bronze doors before them creaked open with a deep rumble, revealing a widening gap.

A boundless ancient aura surged from within. Liu Xi’s lips curved into a faint smile.

With a thought, he commanded the twelve puppets forward. Their silhouettes darted through the doors first—disposable scouts for whatever lay beyond.

Seeing the link between them remain intact, Liu Xi nodded. ”Seems safe enough. Let’s go.”

Beyond the bronze gate, an immense palace complex unfolded before their eyes, endless corridors stretching in every direction.

This… was the resting place left behind by a Dou Saint.
