BTTH: Rebirth of Liu Xi

Hearing such vile words, Yun Yun’s expression instantly turned cold. Her beautiful face hardened as a chilling killing intent surged in her eyes. ”Shameless scum—you deserve death!”

Her gaze dropped to her sword, brows furrowing slightly when she noticed a blackened handprint scorched into the blade, faint wisps of smoke still curling from it. ”Such potent poison…”

With a twist of her slender waist, Yun Yun’s graceful figure transformed into a swirl of wind, her long sword slicing through the air as she lunged straight at the Heavenly Poison King.

The Heavenly Poison King merely sneered at the sight of the blackened mark on her sword. His eerie laughter echoed across the swamp as the aura surrounding his body continued to climb—already reaching a level no weaker than a 6-Star Dou Zong.

Though he could feel his consciousness being gnawed away by poison, leaving only bloodlust in his mind, he made no effort to restrain it. If death was inevitable, why bother fearing madness?

He drew the emerald flames inward, coating his entire body until it looked as if he wore a suit of green armor. The poisonous fire surged violently, doubling his strength in an instant.

Yun Yun’s sword wind howled against him, but even her blade—sharp enough to sever mountains—failed to pierce the toxic armor shrouding his form. High above the Poison Swamp, the two 6-Star Dou Zongs clashed fiercely in midair, their weapons flashing like lightning as they engaged in a deadly white-blade duel.

As the battle raged on, Yun Yun’s sword danced faster and faster, weaving a storm of slashing arcs. Blades of wind filled the sky, intertwining until they formed a sphere of cutting light. All around, poisonous mists and toxic flames were torn apart by her overwhelming sword force.

The Heavenly Poison King’s eyes twitched in irritation. The rotating storm of sword shadows left him completely trapped. Every attack he launched was shredded before it could reach her.

”Yun Yun, you damned woman—come out and fight me like a—”

His words abruptly stopped. A vast, divine pressure—immense and unstoppable—descended from the heavens, flooding the entire swamp with a suffocating weight.

The Heavenly Poison King’s breath caught in his throat as his heart clenched violently, his body frozen midair. Even the void itself seemed to solidify around him, imprisoning him where he stood.

Not only him—everyone, friend and foe alike, was locked in place as if sealed in amber. Their eyes darted in terror and disbelief, yet their bodies could not move a single inch.

Then, from the skies above, Liu Xi descended. Each of his steps crossed dozens of meters, and in mere moments, he appeared before everyone’s astonished gazes.

All recognized him. The name ”Liu Xi” carried immense weight throughout the Jia Ma Empire and its neighboring nations.

For Yun Yun, Jia Xingtian, Hai Bodong, and Fa Ma, their shock quickly gave way to joy. Though none of them knew when Liu Xi had returned, they all understood one thing—he would never allow harm to come to them.

As for the Heavenly Poison King, Xie Long, and Wang Ai—despair filled their eyes. The overwhelming pressure Liu Xi exuded was beyond anything they had ever felt. That power was not something a mere Dou Zong could possess.

Liu Xi ignored their reactions and, in a few calm steps, appeared before Yun Yun.

The sight of him so close made Yun Yun’s heart flutter with confusion. ”What is he—mm!”

Her eyes widened in shock, filled with a mixture of surprise, shyness, and disbelief.

Liu Xi had simply wrapped an arm around her slender waist and, without hesitation, pressed a soft kiss upon her forehead.

Then, looking at her with a warm smile, he said gently, ”I’m back.”

The frozen spell broke. Yun Yun found she could move again—but her attempts to pull away only tightened his embrace, her soft body nearly pressed entirely against his chest.

A flush of crimson rose to her cheeks as she became acutely aware of Jia Xingtian, Hai Bodong, and Fa Ma watching from the sidelines, their eyes gleaming with gossip and amusement.

She turned her face away stubbornly, cheeks puffed like a sulking child. ”So what if you’re back?”

That was all the defiance she could muster. The faint smile tugging at her lips betrayed her true feelings completely.

Liu Xi chuckled softly. The once aloof and untouchable Sect Master Yun now looked adorably flustered.

”Your sword’s damaged,” he said. ”I’ve already prepared a new one for you. Once everything here is settled, I’ll come find you after this.”

Yun Yun lowered her gaze. The blade in her hand was indeed corroded and smoking, nearly ruined beyond repair. Hearing that he had a replacement—and that he would personally deliver it—made her eyes flicker with expectation. But when she heard ”I’ll come find you after this,” her face turned bright red, lost in thoughts she dared not voice.

”For now,” Liu Xi said calmly, turning toward the center of the swamp, ”let’s deal with the problem at hand. A poison flame, hmm… interesting.”

His gaze fell upon the Heavenly Poison King, curiosity glinting in his eyes.

The Heavenly Poison King, seeing the tender interaction between the two, realized utterly that his end had come. His will broke, and he stood there hollow-eyed, recalling how he had once slain a serpent, seized its poisonous flame, and risen to the peak of his life.

But now… all of it meant nothing.

Liu Xi didn’t bother asking questions. He simply lifted a hand and snapped his fingers.

Bang!

The Heavenly Poison King—whose power rivaled a 6-Star Dou Zong—instantly exploded into a crimson mist, his body and soul annihilated without a trace.

With a mere thought, Liu Xi extended his Spiritual Power, pulling both the man’s soul and his poisonous flame into his sleeve.

Everyone stared in stunned silence. Two of them, Xie Long and Wang Ai, trembled violently, paralyzed with fear.

Yun Yun blinked in disbelief before asking softly, ”When you left, you were only a high-level Dou Huang like me. How… how did you become this strong?”

Liu Xi raised an eyebrow but gave no real answer. ”A few lucky encounters. I’ll tell you later. For now, let’s finish this.”

He raised his hand again and clenched his fist. The invisible power of space erupted.

Boom!

Xie Long and Wang Ai, the remaining Poison Dou Zongs, didn’t even have time to scream before they were crushed into blood mist.

”Cleanup complete,” Liu Xi said lightly, lowering his hand as the suffocating pressure vanished and the frozen air began to flow once more.

He turned, smiling faintly. ”Elder Jia, Elder Hai, Association Head Fa Ma—it’s been a while.”

The three men stood silent, their earlier gossip forgotten. Even the thought of teasing him about Yun Yun vanished as they remained awestruck by the vast, world-crushing might he had just displayed.

Finally, Hai Bodong chuckled quietly, his expression complicated. ”Young friend… you’ve grown to a height this old man can only look up to. Time truly flies.”

Liu Xi smiled. ”It’s only the Dou Zun realm. If you three put in the effort, you’ll reach it soon enough.”

Releasing Yun Yun gently, he said, ”This poisonous flame interests me. I’ll explore deeper into the swamp. Now that the Heavenly Poison King is dead, you and the others should return to Jia Ma first. I’ll join you shortly.”

”Alright.” Yun Yun nodded softly. ”Be careful.”

Liu Xi smiled, nodded in return, and turned toward the sky, beckoning to the three women above—Xiao Yixian, Qing Lin, and Zi Yan—before vanishing into the depths of the Poison Swamp.

Watching him go, Yun Yun smiled helplessly. When she had accepted Liu Xi into her heart, she already knew—he was not a man who would belong to just one woman.

’All I hope,’ she thought quietly, ’is that somewhere in that heart of his… there’s a place truly meant for me.’

High above, Xiao Yixian chuckled playfully. ”Qing Lin, you’d better get used to it. That’s our Young Master for you.”

Qing Lin nodded softly, her eyes gentle. ”That sister… I met her once, a long time ago.”
