BTTH: Rebirth of Liu Xi

Under Liu Xi’s leadership, not a single faction in the Jia Ma Empire dared to resist the formation of the Heavenly Alliance.

Once the foundation was set, all major powers joined one after another, actively pledging their strength. Since opposition was futile, they chose survival — joining under Liu Xi’s rules to secure a place in the new order.

Of course, there were minor incidents. Not everyone was so willing. Some still clung to deep loyalty toward their former factions.

Rather than slaughter them and risk discontent within the alliance, Liu Xi simply dismissed those unwilling to cooperate. Mercy earned more goodwill than bloodshed. And even if any dared to rebel, a flick of his hand would erase them — insignificant sparks under a rising storm.

Gradually, the Heavenly Alliance spread its influence across the entire Jia Ma Empire. Large and small forces alike joined one after another, contributing resources and counsel with forced enthusiasm.

After all, when a blade is pressed against your neck — joining becomes the only choice.

Liu Xi also penned a personal letter to Gu He. It contained no pleasantries; there was little between them to reminisce about — rivals in both alchemy and love.

Instead, Liu Xi shared several of his own insights into 7th Tier Alchemy and the evolution of the Spiritual Power. That was enough to draw the once-discouraged Gu He back into the world.

Gu He had only two lifelong pursuits — alchemy and Yun Yun. With Yun Yun’s heart already belonging to Liu Xi, only alchemy remained.

Faced with such an irresistible lure, even the disheartened Gu He took the bait and returned to serve as an Elder in the Alchemy Division, contributing to the Heavenly Alliance in exchange for higher-tier alchemical knowledge.

To raise morale, Liu Xi paid a hefty price. He sorted through all the treasures and inheritances he had gathered during his time in the Central Plains and donated nearly everything of use to the Alliance.

Thirteen volumes of Di Class Qi Methods, eighty-six of Xuan Class, countless Huang Class techniques — and that was only the beginning.

For Liu Xi, these scrolls were mere clutter, taking up space in his spatial ring. But for the Jia Ma cultivators, it was a divine boon.

Not only Qi Methods — there were Dou Techniques, weapons, medicinal pills, and strange artifacts. The hall filled with gasps and admiration as the members praised their leader’s unmatched generosity.

Inspired, the other factions also offered up their techniques and resources. Though none could compare with Liu Xi’s contribution, the gesture itself greatly strengthened the unity of the Alliance.

Liu Xi only smiled faintly. These things had long gathered dust in his ring. Giving them away cost him nothing.

Once the structure of the Heavenly Alliance stabilized, Liu Xi handed over full control to Yun Yun, delegating all administrative duties to her.

Yun Yun’s eyes nearly rolled out of her head — Liu Xi had insisted on creating the Alliance himself, only to abandon its management the moment it was built.

Even so, she worked tirelessly to formalize the Heavenly Alliance, turning Liu Xi’s rough framework into a true organization. With fairness and authority, she redistributed resources, balancing every faction’s influence.

Compared to Liu Xi, Yun Yun — once Sect Master of Yunlan Sect — was far more suited for leadership. Under her management, the fledgling Heavenly Alliance quickly took on a well-ordered, disciplined structure.

And if anyone doubted her authority, the casual release of her 9-Star Dou Zong aura was enough to silence all dissent.

Satisfied that Yun Yun could manage everything, Liu Xi finally had time for what he truly desired — to study and develop a new Qi Method.

His old Nine Nether Ghost Flame Technique was a Mid Level Di Class method — once his strongest cultivation technique. But now, it could no longer keep up with his power.

It was time to either replace it — or create anew.

Among the relics he’d seized from Elder Mu Gu’s ring, Liu Xi found one called the Purgatory Flame Sealing Technique, a High Level Di Class Qi Method — the strongest he possessed.

Yet, it too had limits. And Liu Xi had long since learned: the best method is the one that suits you. Thus, he chose the harder path — to craft his own.

He gathered every fire-attribute Qi Method in his possession: four Di Class scrolls, thirty-two Xuan Class scrolls, and countless Huang Class ones though the latter held little value for reference.

The purpose of a Qi Method, especially those aligned with fire, was to allow cultivators to sense, understand, and ultimately command the flame.

Flame was the essence of combustion, extending into forms like heat, explosion, and purification.

Ancestors once mastered flame, and from their understanding, they created Qi Methods — so later generations could learn through structured comprehension.

But Liu Xi had long surpassed the level of those ”later generations.”

Having devoured six Heavenly Flames, his understanding of fire transcended all others. Even if his mastery wasn’t absolute, his insight was unmatched.

If he were arrogant, he could have declared: ”No one in this world understands flame better than I do.”

Thus, the most difficult part of creating a Qi Method — comprehension — was not a challenge for him.

His limitation lay in the vessel. His body could absorb immense fire-type energy, but existing methods could only convert a fraction of that into Dou Qi.

To fully harness his flames, he needed a method designed for himself — one that could contain and harmonize all six Heavenly Flames.

So he began constructing a completely new network of meridian pathways. Comparing scrolls, cross-referencing, and deducing step by step, he assembled an intricate structure — like a mathematician proving an endless equation.

Each meridian route was tested, refined, and restructured. Errors were discarded; optimal paths preserved.

Thanks to his immense Spiritual Power and absolute focus, the process, though complex, advanced smoothly.

Half a year later, atop the back mountain of Yunlan Sect —

Liu Xi sat cross-legged on a cliff peak, eyes closed, Dou Qi coursing through meridians as thick as dragons.

In the next moment, his Dou Qi contracted sharply, retreating into his dantian — then erupted like a raging dragon awakening, surging through the new meridian path.

The flow resembled the Nine Nether Ghost Flame Technique yet was far more intricate — hundreds of times more refined and profound.

Meridian after meridian lit up, forming an astonishing diagram of glowing pathways within his body.

When the vast Dou Qi completed a full circuit, a soft snap sounded within him — as if a shackle had broken.

Instantly, Yunlan Mountain trembled. The skies above quivered under an unseen pressure.

Then came a violent gale. Boundless Heaven and Earth energy condensed above, forming a rolling ocean of misty light that spiraled downward.

That torrent of energy converged toward Liu Xi, drawn into him like a massive vortex.

He absorbed it without fear. The azure flame within his body burned fiercely, refining the chaotic energy. From a hundred parts of Heaven and Earth essence, he extracted one part of pure energy.

That essence ran through his new meridian network, completing a full circulation — then compressed once more into incredibly pure Dou Qi.

Liu Xi’s eyes opened, a faint glimmer flashing within.

’The 439th meridian formation route… finally succeeded.’
