BTTH: Rebirth of Liu Xi

”Deacon Han, you’d better not be playing favorites! If this boy truly possessed 7th Tier alchemy skills before, how could he have remained so utterly unknown?”

The Bai Clan Elder suddenly sprang to her feet, jabbing an accusing finger toward Liu Xi’s nose, her voice shrill with anger.

Being pointed at so rudely, Liu Xi’s expression chilled. He took a single step forward—and at once, an overwhelming tide of Spiritual Power burst forth from his body. A vast, crushing soul pressure flooded the room like a roaring storm!

Everyone’s face instantly changed color. The Bai Clan Elder, who was the direct target of that pressure, let out a strangled cry and collapsed heavily to the floor. Her eyes went vacant, her expression blank, as if her very soul had been torn apart—her mind trapped in a storm of agony that shredded her consciousness into pieces. Her entire body trembled violently, like one afflicted by madness.

”Being ugly isn’t your fault,” Liu Xi said coldly, ”but coming out to frighten people is. And spewing filth without sense—how disgusting. The Bai Clan truly brings shame upon the Pill Tower’s name.”

Even Han Li was shocked. The magnitude of the Spiritual Power Liu Xi had released was terrifying. Seeing the old woman’s pitiful state, Han Li opened his mouth to intervene—but hesitated.

At that moment, Elder Cao of the Cao Clan stepped forward, resisting the oppressive soul force with difficulty, and pleaded, ”Sir, please—stay your hand! The old crone’s words were indeed insulting, and she deserves to be punished. But for the sake of the Pill Tower’s honor, I beg you to show mercy. Whatever atonement is required, my Cao Clan will see to it!”

Elder Cao had always suspected Liu Xi was no ordinary youth. When he felt that vast, oceanic Spiritual Power, his heart sank with awe—a Spirit Realm soul!

Liu Xi glanced at him faintly, then turned to Han Li. ”Deacon Han, the Pill Tower is the sacred ground of alchemists, and I hold it in the highest respect. But as you saw, I had no intention of starting trouble—she provoked me again and again.”

”I mean no offense to the Pill Tower. If the Bai Clan feels I’ve shamed them, they can come for me directly. I won’t be afraid.”

Han Li, still trembling under the fading weight of Liu Xi’s soul might, forced himself to speak. ”This matter… I will report exactly as it occurred. The Pill Tower will act fairly and will never permit the Bai Clan to abuse its influence.”

Liu Xi nodded. With a thought, he withdrew the oceanic Spiritual Power into his brow, sealing it once again within his spiritual sea.

As for the Bai Clan Elder—she remained on the floor, her gaze empty and unfocused. Liu Xi’s pre-emptive Soul Dominion shock had shattered her consciousness. Whether her mind would ever recover again was left to fate.

Only now did the others feel the crushing pressure lift. Their knees trembled, eyes filled with horror as they stared at the young man who had subdued a 7th Tier alchemist with a mere glance.

Liu Xi broke the silence. ”Deacon Han, tell me—can the Pill Tower’s 8th Tier Pill Recipes be traded? I happen to need one for the Green Fungus Pill.”

The request, absurd as it sounded, no longer surprised anyone who had just felt the magnitude of his Spiritual Power. Even Han Li managed only a strained smile. ”Sir, I am but a 7th Tier Alchemist. I have no access to 8th Tier recipes. I will have to report this to the upper echelons—someone qualified will contact you soon.”

At that, the Bai siblings—Bai Feng and Bai Xue—hurriedly lifted the limp old elder and made their escape. They dared not utter another word, though their terrified eyes still flickered with deep resentment before vanishing beyond the door.

Liu Xi didn’t bother to stop them. Han Li truly couldn’t reach the 8th Tier archives; the question had merely been a pretext to open communication with the higher ranks of the Pill Tower.

Elder Cao observed everything quietly, understanding much from the exchange. ’His background may not be noble,’ he thought, ’but his talent is monstrous—perhaps blessed by fortune itself. To possess a Spirit Realm soul at his age… if my Cao Clan can befriend him, we must never make him an enemy.’

He stepped forward, smiling warmly. ”Hehe, I am Cao Xiang, Third Elder of the Cao Clan. Would you care to stay at our residence for the time being? I assure you, the Bai Clan will issue a formal apology.”

Liu Xi shook his head. ”That won’t be necessary. I’ll find my own lodgings here in the city. With the Pill Tower’s reach, it won’t be hard for them to contact me. Farewell.”

He offered a courteous nod, then turned toward Xiao Yixian and Yao Tianhuo. With a silent glance, they followed him out of the room.

Cao Xiang watched him go, frowning slightly. ’A youth like that cannot be nameless. I must have overlooked something…’ He sighed, then bade Han Li farewell and departed with the disheartened Cao Dan and Cao Xiu in tow.

Now alone, Han Li gazed at the doorway, brow furrowed in thought. ”So young… could he truly be an 8th Tier Alchemist? No, impossible… but still, I’d better report this immediately.”

Outside the branch tower, Liu Xi walked down the bustling streets of Holy Pill City, taking in the vibrant sights while searching for an inn.

As for the Bai Clan’s revenge—he wasn’t concerned. Among the Five Great Families, only the Dan and Cao Clans still held real power. The others had long declined. So long as the Pill Tower didn’t interfere, the strength he commanded—two Dou Zun experts and two Dou Zun-level puppets—was enough to erase the Bai Clan from the continent.

He respected the Pill Tower deeply and followed its rules faithfully. But if the Tower chose blindness over fairness, then Liu Xi would show no mercy.

By dusk, he found an inn and rented two rooms—one for Yao Tianhuo, the other for himself and Xiao Yixian.

Inside, Liu Xi gently held Xiao Yixian’s jade-like hand, making her cheeks flush pink. His gaze softened. ”Xian’er, tonight I’ll be refining and absorbing the Ten Thousand Beast Flame. You’re the only one I trust. Until I awaken, don’t let anyone disturb me.”

’I thought he was going to say something else!’ Xiao Yixian froze for a moment, then her blush deepened to crimson. Lowering her head, she drew small circles on the floor with her toe, whispering softly, ”Understood, Young Master…”

Liu Xi chuckled, lifted her chin, and planted a soft kiss on her smooth forehead.

”Muah.”

”I’ll get ready.”

Smiling faintly, he turned and entered the inner chamber, leaving behind a flustered Xiao Yixian covering her face, her heart pounding like a drum.

”Uuuh…”

Sitting cross-legged on the bed, Liu Xi closed his eyes and sank his mind into his spiritual sea.

Within the vast mental realm, his towering astral form stood like a god of creation. His eyes opened slowly, glowing with calm indifference, while the cyan lotus mark at his brow radiated a dazzling light.

With a single thought, he summoned forth a mass of blood-red flame swirling like a storm—within it, one could faintly hear the roars of countless beasts.

As he gazed upon it, the lotus mark at his brow flared hotter and brighter. Ripples of energy spread outward, wrapping the blood-red flame completely.

Sensing danger, the Ten Thousand Beast Flame writhed violently, burning even fiercer in defiance—but before the power of Liu Xi’s Spirit Realm soul, it was like a helpless maiden before a tyrant, unable to resist as it was dragged inch by inch into the glowing lotus seal.

Crimson light engulfed his body, dyeing his spiritual form in shades of fiery red. The searing flames washed over him, but to Liu Xi it felt only pleasantly warm.

The essence of the Ten Thousand Beast Flame was being refined, absorbed into his soul—nourishing it, strengthening it, evolving it further.

Gradually, his expanding Spiritual Power broke past the limits of his body and extended outward, reaching toward something vast and familiar…

There, in the far distance, lay an endless cosmic expanse—an infinite Star Region, its skies ablaze with countless suns, each burning with boundless fire.
