BTTH: Rebirth of Liu Xi

North of the Beast Bone Mountain Range.

High above the clouds, three figures streaked swiftly through the boundless sky, weaving amidst the drifting white mists.

Liu Xi suddenly turned his head, a thoughtful expression flashing across his face. With his Spiritual Power, he could naturally sense disturbances far earlier than Xiao Yixian or Yao Tianhuo. Xiao Yixian, noticing his movement, softly asked, ”Young Master, what’s wrong?”

Yao Tianhuo also looked over, knowing that with Liu Xi’s spiritual perception, he was more sensitive to danger than either of them.

Liu Xi explained calmly, ”The Heavenly Flame we took has likely been discovered. Two vast auras just appeared behind us—they’re coming this way.”

Yao Tianhuo frowned, his tone grave. ”Little friend, what’s their strength? With my and Miss Xiao’s power, do we have a chance to seriously injure or kill them outright?”

By the end, Yao Tianhuo’s voice carried a faint trace of killing intent. The Beast Tomb was guarded by four Beast Dou Zun Tribes, and if only two of their Dou Zun came chasing, it was already a fortunate situation.

Liu Xi glanced down at the endless mountain ridges and the sprawling ancient forest below, within which countless Magical Beasts lurked unseen.

”Those two Dou Zun aren’t much to fear,” he said flatly. ”But it’s inconvenient for us to fight recklessly inside the Beast Region. If we can escape, we’ll avoid them. If not—then we’ll fight.”

A glint of coldness flashed across his eyes. If those two Dou Zun had any sense, he wouldn’t bother killing them. But if they insisted on chasing him endlessly… then he would simply remove them. Liu Xi never liked leaving potential threats alive.

Thinking this, he flew closer to Xiao Yixian and gently took her slender jade hand, letting her carry him through space directly.

After all, Liu Xi was still a mere 7-Star Dou Zong; in terms of speed, he was far from a Dou Zun who could manipulate space at will.

Xiao Yixian smiled faintly, her Dou Qi circulating as rippling waves spread around her. In the next instant, she and Liu Xi vanished into the ripples.

When they reappeared, they were already thousands of meters away. The moment they emerged, Xiao Yixian immediately tore open another space ripple, vanishing again.

The sensation was strange—unlike long-distance spatial portals, this spatial flickering felt like skipping frames in reality itself. The world around them blurred past like fleeting scenery, soundless, airless—almost as if the distance between two points had been completely erased.

Yao Tianhuo followed closely, never once lagging behind.

Far behind them, a Dou Zun in a tiger-patterned robe was pursuing relentlessly, nostrils flaring as he sniffed the lingering scent in the air, his face twisted with ferocity.

”The scent of blood beads… right in this direction. Hmph, they’re fast, but not fast enough! Damn it, if I had refined that Ten Thousand Beast Flame earlier, I would’ve broken through to Mid Level Dou Zun with its bloodline tempering power! It wouldn’t have been stolen by some wretch today!”

Beside him, an old man in a robe patterned with bear marks shot him a cold glance and said icily, ”Hu Potian, with your strength, you think you could refine the Ten Thousand Beast Flame? You should’ve asked whether we’d even allow it.”

Hu Potian snorted, but didn’t argue. When they’d first discovered the Ten Thousand Beast Flame, it was their internal greed and disagreement that left the Heavenly Flame unclaimed until now.

The blood beads refined from its Blood Spirits barely benefited a Dou Zun’s cultivation, but it was still something—and they had nothing better.

Unlike Liu Xi’s group, the two Dou Zun made no effort to conceal their presence. Their overwhelming auras swept through the heavens, so oppressive that countless bird-type Magical Beasts scattered in terror, while the beasts within the forests below fled in droves, trembling in fear.

After locking onto the correct direction, the two didn’t pause for even a moment, tearing through the void as they chased with full force.

One side fled, the other pursued. Three days passed in this deadly chase before the two persistent Dou Zun finally provoked a killing intent in Liu Xi’s heart.

He signaled Xiao Yixian to stop above a broken canyon. The barren and desolate surroundings made his tone turn cold.

”Elder Yao, Xian’er—since those two Dou Zun insist on courting death, we’ll send them on their way.”

Though Xiao Yixian had been carrying Liu Xi for three days straight, her breath remained steady, not a trace of fatigue—proof of the deep reserves of a Dou Zun’s strength.

”Understood, Young Master. You hide first, leave the rest to me.”

Liu Xi’s expression stiffened slightly. Though her words sounded caring, something about them felt… odd.

Yao Tianhuo also advised, ”Indeed, little friend. A battle between Dou Zun is no small matter. Even with your strong Spiritual Power, it’s best you stay hidden.”

Liu Xi: ”…”

These words might be for his good, but they were truly hard on the ears.

With a casual wave of his hand, two golden flashes appeared before them—two towering golden puppets stood in front of the trio.

”Young Master, are those the former Earth Demon Puppets?”

”Little friend, that appearance—it’s Tian Shuangzi! You’ve turned him into a puppet?”

Both Xiao Yixian and Yao Tianhuo looked at the two figures in astonishment and curiosity.

Liu Xi nodded. ”Yes. This one was the former Earth Demon Puppet Ah Da, and the other was Tian Shuangzi. I had Hei Qing take me to the Void Lightning Pool earlier for a refinement upgrade. Now both are Heavenly Demon Puppets, each with Dou Zun-level combat power. You don’t need to worry about my safety.”

He continued calmly, ”Once those two chasing Dou Zun arrive, I’ll control the puppets and fight alongside you. It may not be the most honorable method, but it’s the fastest way to end this.”

Neither Yao Tianhuo nor Xiao Yixian were the type to be stubborn about such things—they had no issue with this pragmatic approach.

Liu Xi descended to the edge of the cliff, and with a thought, the two Heavenly Demon Puppets concealed themselves behind boulders and brush. Their auras faded instantly—completely lifeless, indistinguishable from lumps of dead metal unless one looked closely with Spiritual Power.

Then, Liu Xi simply stood tall at the cliff’s edge, hands clasped behind his back, facing the direction of the incoming Dou Zun.

Xiao Yixian and Yao Tianhuo no longer urged him to hide. With two Dou Zun-level puppets, this was no longer a battle—it was an execution.

They took their positions at his sides, subtly forming a triangle around him, adjusting their Dou Qi circulation to be ready at any moment.

Within mere minutes, two immense auras surged across the sky, sweeping forward like tidal waves and covering the entire canyon.

Liu Xi felt his body grow heavy as immense pressure pressed in from all directions, as if he were submerged deep underwater. Only after releasing his Spiritual Power to shield himself did that oppressive feeling begin to fade.

’These two Dou Zun are slightly weaker than Elder Yao, but with their beastly bodies, their raw combat strength should be comparable.’

A booming laugh echoed across the canyon.

”Hahaha… You’ve stopped running? Then leave the Heavenly Flame you stole from the Beast Tomb, and this lord might let you die with your body intact!”
