BTTH: Rebirth of Liu Xi

Liu Xi’s gaze darkened. Because of the Woeful Poison Body’s turmoil, he hadn’t touched Xiao Yixian for nearly a year.

With a small smile, he closed his fingers, extinguishing the Sun Fire that the Earth Core Bead had released. The bead vanished into his ring in a faint shimmer of light.

His hand found the soft jade fingers that encircled his chest. Drawing them gently to his lips, he planted a kiss upon her knuckles.

’Mm… soft and delicate.’ The warmth lingered pleasantly.

His voice was husky. ”Xian’er… you lit the fire. You’ll have to put it out.”

She gave a breathy little laugh. ”Sure… oh?”

With a sudden pull, Liu Xi brought her forward. Xiao Yixian offered no resistance as his lips descended upon hers—warm and deep.

His hands, bold and certain, wrapped around her slender waist, sliding slowly along the curves of her body.

When his palm brushed the fullness of her hips, Xiao Yixian’s face flushed crimson. Her arms rose, pale as lotus stems, looping around his neck in willing invitation.

In Liu Xi’s eyes burned a fierce, hungry light. He felt like a starving wolf that had finally cornered the most exquisite prey. The thrill of conquest made his heart pound violently in his chest.

The beauty in his arms was a Dou Zun—one of the strongest existences on the continent beneath the ancient clans.

And now, that same woman was melting against him, returning his kiss, her perfect, supple body surrendering completely beneath his touch.

---

After a long while, their lips parted.

Xiao Yixian’s cheeks glowed rose-red, her gaze hazy and enchanting. Liu Xi’s breath quickened again; desire flickered in his eyes as he prepared to go further—

Then, suddenly—

A terrifying aura erupted in the distance, spreading across Ye City like an overwhelming tidal wave. The pressure swept over the entire region, and even the Ye Clan’s Sun Fire Ancient Altar was enveloped by it.

”Ye Clan! Hand over the man and two women who appeared in Ye City some time ago. If you do not—today will mark your clan’s destruction!”

The ancient voice exploded like thunder in the sky, its echo booming in every ear throughout the city.

Liu Xi’s expression turned black as charcoal. ’Perfect timing. Just when things were about to get interesting… someone dares interrupt me?’

In his arms, Xiao Yixian’s face frosted over with cold fury. She had just begun to open her heart—and now someone was brazen enough to ruin the moment.

Worse still, the surge of passion that could no longer find release made her chest ache with frustration.

The pair exchanged a single glance—both filled with murderous intent. Whoever had spoken… would pay dearly.

Liu Xi exhaled heavily and released the beauty in his arms. Forcing his mind back to calm, his tone was low but composed.

”Enough for now. Let’s go meet this bastard.”

Xiao Yixian gave a soft, lingering nod, eyes filled with reluctant affection. She rose gracefully, her snow-white hair cascading down her bare back as she helped straighten Liu Xi’s robe with gentle fingers.

Then, with a delicate tap of her jade-like hand, energy rippled outward. Flowing light encircled her body, forming a translucent veil of power that wove itself into clothing—a short corset, silk undergarments, and a long pale dress that shimmered faintly in the light.

Ye Clan Front Courtyard

Panic spread like wildfire. Every member of the Ye Clan felt the crushing weight of the aura above. The intruders’ strength far surpassed anything they could resist.

Even worse—the faction they represented was one of Central Plains’ top-tier powers: Ice River Valley.

A total of fifty-four figures hovered in the sky. Each wore pristine white robes embroidered with icy patterns. Behind fifty of them, vast Dou Qi wings spread wide, sealing the Ye Clan’s estate under an impenetrable barrier of frost.

At the forefront stood four figures, each treading upon the air as if it were solid ground. Their overwhelming Dou Qi pressure descended like a heavenly punishment, making the earth itself tremble.

All four were Dou Zong experts—and three of them were 6-Star Dou Zong, not inferior to Ye Zhong himself.

Yet even these three stood respectfully behind the fourth—a white-haired elder leaning on an ice-blue cane. Though aged, his spirit was sharp, and his gaze coldly indifferent.

He looked down at the panicked Ye Clan with a faint sneer.

’Woeful Poison Body… after three months of searching, I’ve finally found your trail. With me personally here, not even the Ye Clan can shield you.’

Ye Zhong’s figure appeared in the courtyard, his face pale and bitter. He bowed deeply and forced out words of respect.

”Elder Tian She, your arrival honors us. I am Ye Zhong, First Elder of the Ye Clan. We have no prior dealings with Ice River Valley—may I ask what brings such a formidable guest today?”

Elder Tian She’s eyes remained icy cold. His cane struck once upon the air. Ripples of force exploded outward and crashed down.

Ye Zhong’s expression twisted in agony as his spine bent under the immense pressure. It was as if a mountain pressed upon him—he could barely breathe.

”Did I not make myself clear?” Elder Tian She’s voice boomed. ”Hand over the three fugitives who appeared here two months ago—a man and two women, the butchers of my Ice River Valley! If you do not, I will flatten this clan myself!”

Ye Zhong’s eyes flickered with turmoil. The description was obvious—it could only mean Liu Xi and his companions. But Liu Xi had the potential to become an 8th Tier Alchemist… that was a priceless connection!

Yet if he refused, the Ye Clan might not survive the day.

Whispers rippled through the clan.

”First Elder, the clan must come first!”

”That Liu Xi fellow didn’t look trustworthy from the start! Who else would offend Ice River Valley?”

”Ah, wretched luck… what disaster has fallen upon us now…”

The noise pressed like knives into Ye Zhong’s mind. Under the crushing aura, he could barely remain upright. Finally, he sighed, his voice hoarse.

”Elder Tian She… our Ye Clan is one of the Pill Tower’s five subordinate families. I beg you to grant the Pill Tower some respect. We will be eternally grateful.”

Elder Tian She sneered coldly.

”Pill Tower, I respect. But your Ye Clan? You harbor criminals of my Ice River Valley—that’s not the same. As for your gratitude… spare me. I’ll give you ten breaths. Fail to hand them over, and the Ye Clan will cease to exist.”

His voice counted down, sharp and merciless. ”One… two… three…”

”First Elder! The Ye Clan’s centuries of legacy cannot be lost!”

”Please, hand them over!”

”We must survive, Elder!”

The desperate cries tore at Ye Zhong’s heart. His knees nearly buckled under the strain. He rasped, ”Elder Tian She…”

And then—

A calm, clear voice cut through the air.

Liu Xi appeared, one arm around Xiao Yixian’s waist, the other holding Zi Yan’s hand.

Ripples spread beneath his feet as he walked across the void, crossing the distance in an instant.

”Tsk, tsk… a ’criminal’ of Ice River Valley? That’s quite the accusation. Elder Tian She, I’m curious—what great crime have I committed to earn such a grand title?”

Ye Zhong turned his head, relief and regret mingling in his eyes. His lips moved, but no words came.

Liu Xi gave him a faint smile. ”This matter concerns me alone. It has nothing to do with the Ye Clan. Elder Ye Zhong, please withdraw with your people.”

The old man’s heart eased slightly. His gaze grew complex—part sorrow, part gratitude. ’Such a talent… yet doomed to die today. But at least the Ye Clan will survive.’

Liu Xi raised his head, eyes locking coldly onto the four figures hovering in the sky. His voice thundered out like a blade of ice:

”What crime have I committed?”
