BTTH: Rebirth of Liu Xi

Fallen God Ravine.

Abandoned by the Ancient Dragon bloodline, the Sky Poison Dragon Scorpion Beast spread its colossal wings, its ten-zhang-long frame suspended high in midair.

Poison clouds thick as ink blanketed the heavens. At the beast’s command, they began to swirl into a vast vortex, churning and rolling like a sky of venom, blotting out the sun.

Liu Xi frowned deeply. With a thought, the Earth Demon Puppet that had been hurled aside by the beast clenched its fists and launched into the air like an arrow leaving the bowstring.

Sensing movement behind it, the Sky Poison Dragon Scorpion Beast turned, blood and tears leaking from its eyes as killing intent surged like a storm.

”You dare!” it roared furiously.

Its massive scorpion tail, over ten meters long, lashed backward in a blur of black light, aiming straight for the onrushing Earth Demon Puppet.

But the puppet halted abruptly, grabbing the tail mid-strike with both hands. With monstrous strength, it yanked down hard.

Boom!

The sheer force of the pull dragged the Sky Poison Dragon Scorpion Beast downward, its immense body crashing toward the ground.

”Get off me!”

The poisonous vortex loomed just above; there was no way the beast would allow interference. Its draconic wings flapped violently, stirring a hurricane that stabilized its body midair.

Crack... crack... snap!

A series of sharp shattering sounds rang out—armor plates splintering—followed by a crisp, final crack. The puppet’s brutal power snapped the scorpion tail clean off!

The Earth Demon Puppet fell earthward, clutching the still-twitching tail. Its eyes remained as lifeless as ever.

”Ahhh—!”

The Sky Poison Dragon Scorpion Beast’s anguished shriek pierced the ravine. Blood gushed like a crimson stream from the severed joint of its tail, dripping endlessly into the void below.

Its eyes turned feral. It shifted its gaze toward the fully-formed poison vortex in the distance and inhaled sharply, unleashing a terrifying suction force.

Within the poisonous beast army below, Xiao Yixian, shrouded in gray-black poison mist, looked up at the swirling vortex in the sky. Determination shone in her eyes.

Raising a slender jade hand, her fingers danced like plucking flowers as she formed a series of intricate seals. Her voice rang clear and cold.

”Absorb!”

At her command, the gray-black Poison Qi around her surged violently, spinning in the opposite direction of the Sky Poison Dragon Scorpion Beast’s vortex.

In an instant, a counter-rotating storm of poisonous energy formed, tearing at the surrounding miasma. The massive vortex feeding the beast suddenly froze in place.

Taking the opportunity, Liu Xi’s azure flame wings flared open as he blinked behind the beast.

He was merely a 9-Star Dou Huang—even a weakened Sky Poison Dragon Scorpion Beast was far beyond his ability to defeat. All he could do was restrain it.

”Heaven Burning Finger!”

He extended a finger, releasing a blazing azure sun. A dreadful aura of annihilation erupted, radiating boundless light and heat.

The Sky Poison Dragon Scorpion Beast, distracted by Xiao Yixian’s interference, sensed the destruction flaring behind it and turned in fury.

”Damn insect! A mere Dou Huang dares strike at this king? Die!”

Its wings snapped once, and its enormous form vanished. Almost simultaneously, blood-red claws materialized before Liu Xi’s chest.

But it had underestimated him—and charged straight into the attack!

The blast of energy howled through the air. Liu Xi’s robes billowed, his hair flying wildly as his calm eyes glimmered with cold light. His Dou Qi, gathered to its limit, detonated.

A colossal azure finger manifested, slamming into the beast’s chest the moment its body reappeared.

Bang!

The Sky Poison Dragon Scorpion Beast’s body was hurled down like a meteor, carving a deep trench tens of meters long into the earth.

Boom!

The giant finger exploded, releasing the power of a Heavenly Flame. The ground trembled as an ocean of blue fire swallowed the beast whole.

”Ahhhh!”

Its agonized scream echoed across the ravine. Its strength was already crippled—taking a blow like that head-on could only lead to a miserable end.

Liu Xi’s body felt hollow. The emptiness within signaled his Dou Qi was nearly exhausted. He waved, summoning the Earth Demon Puppet to guard his front.

With a clench of his fist, a jade bottle appeared. He crushed it, pouring three pills into his mouth at once.

The medicinal energy burst forth, surging through the channels of his Nine Nether Ghost Flame Technique, swiftly converting into pure Dou Qi to refill his drained body.

As the blinding light faded, Liu Xi’s gaze locked onto the blast zone—where a faint but lingering aura remained.

With a thought, the Earth Demon Puppet blazed with radiant silver light, releasing a thunderous roar as it charged once more.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Muffled thuds echoed from within the fading flames, accompanied by weak, dying wails from the Sky Poison Dragon Scorpion Beast.

When the last embers faded, the ground lay in ruin. The area within a forty-zhang radius was utterly lifeless—scorched barren, not even a poisonous weed remained.

At the center of the crater lay the Sky Poison Dragon Scorpion Beast, its massive body charred gray-brown, its hide blistered and split. One wing was broken, the other riddled with holes. Its claws clutched futilely at the Earth Demon Puppet’s neck.

But the puppet didn’t budge—an unfeeling engine of steel and slaughter, raining down relentless blows upon the beast’s skull.

Each punch warped the very air, ripples spreading outward as the beast’s carapace shattered and bones splintered.

Its mind blanked under the onslaught. Death loomed, heavy and absolute.

Yet, in its final moments, the Sky Poison Dragon Scorpion Beast did not look at Liu Xi. Instead, it turned toward Zi Yan and the radiant Beast Soul hovering above her head.

Confusion, release, and even a trace of fervor flickered in its dying eyes.

”In the end,” it murmured weakly, ”this king’s fall… is not for lack of strength, but destiny itself. To see the Ancient Dragon reborn—hah, such fortune for the Dragon Scorpion clan...”

Liu Xi’s expression remained calm. He commanded once more, and the Earth Demon Puppet’s silver light flared fiercely, gathering all its strength into one final strike.

Boom!

The fist descended. Space itself cracked, leaving behind a half-foot-wide black void.

Bang!

That terrifying blow crushed the beast’s skull to pulp, blood and flesh bursting apart in an instant.

The laughter that had echoed through Fallen God Ravine fell silent. The king who once ruled the Scorpion Domain—the Dragon Scorpion—had fallen.
