BTTH: Rebirth of Liu Xi

Thunderous booms echoed endlessly across the skies above the city. On the streets below, the already timid pedestrians shrank back even further at the sound, lowering their heads like ostriches hoping to vanish from sight.

Following the direction of the sound, Liu Xi looked up and saw a figure wrapped in an overwhelming aura of power striding through the air. In just a few steps, the man arrived at the scene of the commotion.

The newcomer bore an uncanny resemblance to the young man earlier—about eight-tenths alike—but his face carried the traces of age. He was clearly the youth’s father, the Sect Master of the Desire Immortal Sect, Zhang Erhe.

Dressed in luxurious robes yet utterly disheveled, his expression was cold, but his face still bore several glaring lipstick marks. His brows were tightly furrowed, radiating the unmistakable frustration of a man interrupted at a very critical moment.

He looked thoroughly annoyed—his ”good time” had nearly been ruined by his own idiot son.

When his eyes swept the crowd and saw that his son was still alive, his expression relaxed slightly. His gaze then shifted toward Liu Xi. Sensing only the aura of a Dou Huang, Zhang Erhe immediately lost interest. But when his eyes fell upon Xiao Yixian and Zi Yan, his eyes brightened as a vulgar grin spread across his face.

”Tsk tsk… to think the world would bless me with such beauties. One mature and enchanting, the other young and delicate… heh, what a pair to enjoy together.”

Liu Xi’s face darkened. ’As expected—like father, like son. Neither one worth a damn.’

Seeing his father arrive, the young man immediately puffed up with renewed arrogance. Pushing aside the two Elders beside him, he jabbed a finger toward Liu Xi and shouted hysterically,

”Father! It’s this bastard! He almost killed me! You must cripple his Dou Qi and break his limbs—let me watch while I enjoy those two women!”

Zhang Erhe turned and glared sharply at his son, scolding, ”Shut your mouth! These two beauties will soon be your new stepmothers. As for you…”

He paused mid-sentence, shifting his gaze back to Liu Xi. Stroking his chin with a smirk, he said mockingly, ”Your strength isn’t bad. Hand over these two women, and this Sect Master will grant you a chance to live. Become my adopted son and serve as my boy’s guard from now on.”

”Father! You’re trying to keep everything for yourself again! Fine—let him be my guard, but the hand that dared touch me must be crippled!”

”Hahaha…”

Liu Xi suddenly burst out laughing. The sound was wild and unrestrained, echoing across the entire street.

’What a joke. Just a mere Dou Zong dares to talk to me like this?’

He sneered, ”Today, you will die. Your son will die. And your sect will be erased from this world. Even if you call me father, you won’t find mercy.”

”Impudent!” Zhang Erhe’s killing intent surged. ”I gave you a chance to live, yet you refuse to cherish it. Then die!”

He raised his hand, fingers flicking sharply. Five streaks of deadly energy howled through the air, shrieking as they pierced toward Liu Xi.

Liu Xi stood calmly with his hands behind his back, unshaken even as danger approached. Suddenly, a blur of white flashed before him—Xiao Yixian stepped forward gracefully, her slender jade hand pressing out lightly.

Boom!

The five streaks of energy disintegrated instantly under her touch.

A vast wave of spiritual pressure spread through the sky. The terrifying might of a Dou Zong blanketed the city, leaving the onlookers trembling in disbelief.

”That’s… a Dou Zong!”

All eyes turned toward the graceful white-clad woman standing before Liu Xi. Her serene expression and chilling aura made it clear—she was the true powerhouse.

”Young Master, leave this one to me,” Xiao Yixian said softly, her lips curling into a cold smile as she gazed at the stunned Zhang Erhe.

This man had dared to lust after her and Zi Yan, and even insulted Liu Xi. There was no room for forgiveness.

Her figure blurred, stepping lightly upon the void like a spirit dancing through the air. In the blink of an eye, she was already high above, her killing intent erupting.

Liu Xi watched quietly. Zhang Erhe, though a lust-driven fool, was still a 4-Star Dou Zong. Even if he had wasted much of his essence indulging in pleasures, defeating him would take some effort.

He turned his gaze toward the young man below—who was now staring up at Xiao Yixian, realization dawning in his eyes. The very woman he had coveted was a Dou Zong herself. His face paled for a moment… then, inexplicably, twisted into excitement.

”Father! Capture her alive! A Dou Zong beauty would make the perfect furnace! With her, I’ll surely break through to Dou Huang!”

Liu Xi almost lost his balance off the horse. ’Is this fool truly his father’s son? How can someone be this stupid?’

”Zi Yan,” Liu Xi said coldly.

Zi Yan leapt to his side instantly, her purple eyes sparkling with mischief. ”Big Brother?”

”Watch those three,” Liu Xi ordered calmly. ”Especially that so-called Young Master. If any of them dares to run, cripple their Dou Qi—and their limbs if necessary. I want him to watch his father die before his eyes.”

Zi Yan’s lips curved into a wicked grin. ”Don’t worry, Big Brother. If they so much as twitch, I’ll show them what real cruelty means.”

Liu Xi chuckled, unfolding the azure fire wings on his back. With a single powerful flap, he soared skyward after Xiao Yixian.

Unlike the outer regions, the Central Plains teemed with countless experts. Displaying the Heaven Demon Phoenix bone wings openly was unwise. Until his strength rose further, caution was survival.

Below, seeing Liu Xi gone, the young man’s twisted grin returned. His eyes gleamed with greed as he licked his lips.

”Foolish brat,” he sneered. ”My father is invincible. Elder Zhao! Elder Xu! Capture that little girl for me. I’ll use her to lure him back down!”

Zi Yan tilted her head, her amethyst eyes gleaming like a predator’s. ’Invincible? You’ll find out soon enough who’s the fool here.’

”Black Tiger Heart Rending Claw!”

”Evil Flood Dragon Hand!”

The two yellow-robed elders roared, their auras bursting forth as they lunged.

Zi Yan smiled sweetly. ”Hehe… finally, some entertainment. Let’s play!”

Her tiny fists clenched, a violent surge of energy exploded outward. The air thickened around her like molten steel as a streak of violet light flashed.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

”Ahhh! Ahhh!”

The dull thuds of flesh meeting force mingled with screams of agony.

Moments later, both Dou Huang elders lay broken and bloodied on the ground—their limbs twisted, ribs shattered, clothes drenched in crimson.

Zi Yan stood proudly between them, hands on her hips, her eyes sparkling with delight.

”Ahh… that felt so good.”
