Ghost Catching System

Chapter 111: Chapter 112 This little thief has a good touch_1

「Leaving Yi Qinglian’s home.」

When Chu Hao returned to the third floor of the shop, Zhong Minyue approached him. ”Master Chu, where were you last night?” she asked.

”Is there something you need, Master?” Chu Hao replied.

Zhong Minyue nodded. ”Last night, I noticed someone observing from downstairs. Their target was your room. Master Chu, have you offended someone?”

I’ve offended quite a few people recently, Chu Hao thought. Lu Shen! That kid probably wouldn’t dare mess with me now, even if he had a hundred guts. Jiang Zhewen! Unlikely. If he were looking for trouble, it should be with Yu Sicheng. After all, I didn’t steal his wife. That leaves only one possibility: Dong Qi from the Nether Cult. He escaped and despises me.

Chu Hao nodded. ”Thank you for the warning, Master. I’ll be careful.”

Zhong Minyue nodded, then suddenly said, ”Young Master, I... I’d like to borrow some money from you, if that would be alright?”

Zhong Minyue was truly in a bind. As a woman, she needed things like sanitary napkins for her period, and without money, she was too embarrassed to ask.

”How much do you need, Master?” Chu Hao asked.

”A thousand should be enough.”

Chu Hao took out a thousand yuan and handed it to Zhong Minyue, who thanked him gratefully.

Ankang Mo returned, bringing four books for the driver’s license exam. With nothing else pressing, Chu Hao settled in his room to read them.

These books are too simple, he thought. Having cultivated the Intermediate Marrow Cleansing Manual, his memory had become exceptionally sharp. It took him only two hours to commit everything to memory.

Early the next morning, with nothing better to do, he went to an internet cafe and had a thrilling time playing some games.

Suddenly, he felt someone’s gaze fixed on him. His senses were extremely acute. Turning, he saw a man who quickly averted his eyes.

Chu Hao sneered. He could tell at a glance that the man’s Yang Fire was weak, as if he were possessed by something unclean. Using a ghost to observe me... Dong Qi is the only one I can think of who would do such a thing, he mused.

It’s better not to alert the enemy yet, he decided. I’ll wait for the mastermind to show up and then deal with them properly.

Just then, he received a QQ message. The ID was Wandering Horizon: ”Dude, where you at?”

Wandering Horizon. That was the nickname of his deskmate, Li Yin, his best school buddy from an ordinary family. School had been out for a month, and Li Yin’s mom had been forcing him to study, so they hadn’t been in contact for over a month.

King Chubi: ”You finally logged on. I thought you might have died somewhere.”

Wandering Horizon: ”Damn it!! Do you have to curse me like that? The pressure of senior year is immense, and my mom’s forcing me to study. It’s not like you, with no one nagging you.”

King Chubi: ”I wish someone would nag me, but there’s no one to do it.”

Wandering Horizon changed the subject: ”School starts the day after tomorrow. Have you heard the news from there?”

King Chubi: ”What news?”

Wandering Horizon: ”Damn!! Something huge happened at our school, and you don’t know about it?”

King Chubi: ”Did Madam Miejie find a boyfriend?”

Wandering Horizon: ”Uh... compared to this, the Earth exploding would be a minor event!”

Chu Hao chuckled. Madam Miejie was their homeroom teacher: a forty-year-old woman, unmarried and childless. When she lost her temper, she was truly terrifying, as if she were about to exterminate everyone.

Wandering Horizon: ”Seriously though, you know they’re developing the hill behind our school, right? They apparently dug up a bright red coffin containing an ancient female corpse! Her face was intact, without a single scratch. They say she’s even more well-preserved than the female mummy from the Ancient Loulan Country!”

An intact female corpse? Chu Hao mused. It must be a zombie. No doubt about it.

”Oh.”

Wandering Horizon: ”Damn it!! Aren’t you surprised at all?”

Heh, he thinks *that’s* surprising? Chu Hao thought. The things I’ve experienced these past few days would scare him to death if I told him. Anyway, school starts the day after tomorrow. I’ll deal with it then—more Experience Points and Pretentiousness Points for me.

Wandering Horizon: ”Brother Hao, I’ve started the match.”

King Chubi: ”Goddammit.”

After gaming all day, Chu Hao settled his bill and headed home. The kid who had been watching him also paid up and left. Hmph, just wait until your boss shows up. You’ll get what’s coming to you, Chu Hao sneered inwardly.

He watched from his room until eleven o’clock; the kid was still lurking downstairs. Chu Hao was growing impatient. When will Dong Qi make his move?

He yawned. If you don’t make a move soon, I’m going to sleep.

At one o’clock in the morning, a figure quietly slipped into Chu Hao’s room.

Chu Hao was instantly awakened. His senses were incredibly sharp. As the person approached his bed, he pounced, pinning the intruder to the floor.

”So, you’ve finally decided to show up, huh?” Chu Hao sneered.

Wait... something’s off. What I’m holding is too soft... and large, and round... Is this a woman?

The person beneath him quickly said, ”Master Chu, it’s me.”

Zhong Minyue!

Chu Hao promptly got up. By the faint moonlight filtering in from outside, he could vaguely make out Zhong Minyue.
