Chapter 104: Chapter 104 Scared to Kneel_1

Old Yuan looked helpless and glared fiercely at the deputy chief.

The deputy chief’s heart raced. He couldn’t afford to offend Old Yuan, so he immediately slapped Zheng Cheng across the face.

”Speak! What exactly happened?”

Clutching his face, Zheng Cheng said in agony, ”Deputy Chief, I... I’m a victim too.”

Wang Meng sneered, ”What a mighty victim you are. Our fight was self-defense, yet you arrested us. Not only did you not punish those thugs, but you also made us sign a confession. Who’s the real victim here?”

Upon hearing this, everyone was alarmed.

The deputy chief kicked Zheng Cheng again. Clutching his stomach in pain, Zheng Cheng crouched on the ground.

The deputy chief cursed loudly, ”Son of a bitch! Abusing your power! Just you wait!”

Saying this, the deputy chief stepped forward. ”Gentlemen,” he said, ”this is a misunderstanding. You won’t go to jail. On the contrary, Zheng Cheng will.”

Old Yuan hurriedly said, ”Exactly! Master Chu, this is a trivial matter.”

Wang Meng shouted angrily, ”Trivial matter? If my brothers hadn’t refused to sign, even at the risk of their lives, they’d be in jail by now! You call that trivial?”

Ankang Mo also said, ”Look at me! All these injuries are from them beating me!”

Zheng Cheng’s insides ached. When did I ever hit you?! he complained inwardly. Wasn’t it you who hit us?

Everyone wore a stern expression.

A furious Old Yuan turned to Zheng Cheng and demanded coldly, ”Tell us, what happened?”

Zheng Cheng didn’t dare conceal anything and spilled the whole story.

As the truth came to light, Old Yuan said, ”Xu Ying, how is Lu Corporation’s stock doing?”

Xu Ying took out her laptop. ”It’s been declining continuously, only started to recover recently.”

With a wave of his hand, Old Yuan asked, ”How long do you need to crash it?”

Confidently, Xu Ying said, ”Ten minutes.”

The deputy chief and Zheng Cheng, listening on the side, were utterly dumbfounded. Lu Corporation, worth 1.3 billion in Anli City, taken down in just ten minutes? Are you kidding me?!

But Xu Ying and her subordinates moved quickly, their fingers tapping furiously on the keyboards, looking very professional.

A moment later, one of Xu Ying’s subordinates handed over a phone. ”Sister Ying,” they said with a smile, ”it’s the chairman of Lu Corporation.”

The corners of Xu Ying’s mouth curved up into a playful smile as she took the call.

「...」

Lu Zheng, Lu Shen’s father, a 58-year-old man, was also the largest shareholder of Lu Corporation.

Lu Zheng was in good spirits. The once declining Lu Corporation had only recently begun to recover, thanks to his son.

It turned out ancestral issues had been affecting the business, but after dealing with them, Lu Corporation had stabilized significantly.

But before long, another piece of news devastated him. Many foreign trade companies and groups had started pulling out their stocks.

Lu Zheng was inwardly collapsing, roaring, ”What’s going on?! Find out immediately!”

After tracking down the source, Lu Zheng nervously made the call. He couldn’t imagine who the opponent was; they had nearly caused a 1.3 billion enterprise to collapse in minutes.

Cautiously, Lu Zheng said, ”Hello... I’m the chairman of Lu Corporation. I’m not sure how I might have offended you.”

Xu Ying responded, ”Ask your son! See if he offended someone named Chu Hao. And that person is at the police station. Tell your son to come over quickly. Whether Lu Corporation can be saved now depends entirely on him.”

With that, she hung up the phone.

Lu Zheng was stunned. The other party’s confidence and power left him with no room to argue, so he hastily called his son.

At that moment, Lu Shen was in a hotel, an arm around two beauties, swirling his drink.

”Damn it, that hurts like hell.”

The thug Leader said, ”Shen Shao, once those guys from the countryside are in jail, things will be different. They’re as good as dead.”

Lu Shen sneered, ”Dare to compete with me, Lu Shen? Once they’re in prison, arrange for some people to teach them a proper lesson. I’ve heard they often ’play with chrysanthemums’ in there, is that true?”

The thug Leader nodded. ”When it’s lonely inside, it’s unavoidable to have your ’chrysanthemum played with.’”

Lu Shen laughed out loud. ”Very good.”

At that moment, Lu Shen’s phone rang. Seeing it was his father calling, he said, ”Dad.”

Lu Zheng said angrily, ”You bastard! You son of a bitch! Did you mess with someone named Chu Hao?”

Lu Shen was stunned. ”Dad, why are you so furious? It was just some small fry I dealt with. I’ve already handled it.”

”Handled my ass! Get your ass to the police station right now and apologize! If you don’t, Lu Corporation is finished!”

Lu Shen was shocked. ”Dad, you can’t be serious.”

”Serious my ass! Get to the police station in ten minutes! I’ll be there shortly. And listen, no matter how they want to punish you, you’d better behave. Even if they tell you to kneel, you kneel!”

The call ended.

Lu Shen was stunned. He cursed, ”Damn it!” and hurriedly set off.

Soon, Lu Shen arrived at the police station, with the thug Leader also present.

When Lu Zheng saw his son arrive, he furiously kicked him. Despite his own age, Lu Zheng beat and kicked his son.

Lu Shen was in pain as he was dragged into the police station.

Seeing the lineup, Lu Shen immediately understood what was happening. He was on the verge of tears as he stammered, ”Ma-Master Chu, I have eyes but failed to recognize Mount Tai! Please, don’t hold this against me!”

Wang Meng chuckled. ”My bro is sleeping.”

Everyone wiped away their cold sweat.

At that moment, Old Yuan asked, ”Little Ying, how much longer until Lu Corporation goes under?”

Little Ying replied, ”Five more minutes.”

Lu Shen and Lu Zheng were both dumbstruck.

”Master Chu,” Lu Shen said agitatedly, ”please, I beg you, make them stop! I really know I was wrong!”

Finally, Chu Hao rolled over and yawned. ”Can’t a person get some sleep around here?”

Everyone felt like crying. With such a big mess going on, how could he have the leisure to sleep?

Chu Hao looked at Lu Shen and smiled. ”Well, well, if it isn’t Shen Shao? Tsk tsk... missing me already? What shall we play this time? Electric shocks, solitary confinement, or maybe you’ll have someone beat me up?”

Cold sweat trickled down Lu Shen’s forehead.

Lu Zheng quickly said, ”Young man, my son was wrong. I beg you, please be magnanimous.”

Chu Hao glanced at him and said coldly, ”Did I give you permission to speak?”

The atmosphere turned extremely cold in that instant.

DING... Host has successfully flexed his aura, earning sixty Pretentiousness Points.

His aura was undeniably strong, intimidating everyone present.

Lu Shen immediately knelt before Chu Hao. ”Master Chu, I truly know I was wrong! Please, come out!”

Chu Hao stroked his chin. ”Actually, I think it’s quite nice here. I don’t want to leave.”

Everyone sweated buckets. If he didn’t leave, this issue might not be resolved today.

Then, Chu Hao looked toward the thug Leader. ”Your Boss is Scorpion?”

The thug Leader shuddered. ”Brother... Brother Hao...”

Chu Hao said slowly, ”I know Scorpion. Call him. Tell him it’s Chu Hao.”

The thug Leader was in a predicament. He was just one of Scorpion’s underlings; if Chu Hao truly knew the Boss, he’d be doomed. He didn’t dare make the call.

Old Yuan instructed, ”Little Ying, call Feng Ju. Tell him to uproot Scorpion’s entire organization, the faster the better.”
