Chapter 83: Chapter 83 I am hitting you_1

Doctor Lu pushed his glasses up and smiled. ”Your medical fees total thirteen thousand six hundred yuan. How about this? Let this little girl stay by my side as an assistant, and she can slowly pay back the money.”

Yun’er anxiously looked at her master. Zhong Minyue shook her head. ”Benefactor, Yun’er cannot leave my side.”

Doctor Lu’s expression turned slightly cold. ”Think carefully. If you don’t have the money to pay for the medical expenses, you will have to go to jail.”

The faces of the master and apprentice changed. Go to jail?

He just said that to intimidate them. Patients from the countryside were especially easy to frighten; men could be squeezed for money, and as for pretty women, well, he’d play with them first.

Doctor Lu looked at Yun’er, his throat dry. He had never had a Taoist nun before. This little Taoist nun’s skin looked so supple; playing with her must be very exciting.

Yun’er clung to her master’s arm, her delicate little face streaked with tears. ”Master, I don’t want you to go to jail! Let’s go back to the mountain and never come out again.”

Doctor Lu stood up and pushed his glasses up. ”Do you think you can just decide to go back now? Not unless you pay the money. If you don’t have it, I can provide it, on the condition that you, little girl, stay with me for a while.”

Zhong Minyue was furious. If it weren’t for her injury, she would have slapped him already.

”Scum! Yun’er will not go with you,” Zhong Minyue said with a grim expression.

Doctor Lu looked at Yun’er and smiled. ”Do you want your master to go to prison? Don’t worry. Stay with me for a while, and then you can return.”

Yun’er was young and had no idea of the wickedness in people’s hearts. She softly asked, ”Really?”

Doctor Lu’s mouth twisted into a greedy smile. ”Of course, it’s true.”

”Yun’er, don’t listen to him. Your master will find a way,” Zhong Minyue said.

Doctor Lu sneered maliciously. ”It seems you really do want to go to jail.”

Chu Hao and Fang Jingxue had gone out to buy breakfast. When they returned to the hospital, they overheard the conversation inside; Yun’er was apparently crying.

Chu Hao had very good hearing. He eavesdropped by the door and heard Doctor Lu’s threats.

Go to jail for unpaid medical bills! Damn him! What a scheme he’s concocted! And to think the master and apprentice, naive about the ways of the world, were actually intimidated.

”What’s happening?” Fang Jingxue asked, also pressing her ear to the door.

”Shh!” Chu Hao made a shushing gesture.

Chu Hao was so angry he couldn’t contain himself and kicked the door open.

Seeing someone burst in, Doctor Lu exclaimed, ”Who let you in? Don’t you see I’m treating a patient here?”

Chu Hao was seething. How dare he claim to be treating a patient? How shameless can he be?

Chu Hao kicked out, sending Doctor Lu flying into the wall. He clutched his stomach in extreme pain.

Doctor Lu cried out in agony, ”How... how can you hit people?”

Chu Hao was livid. ”I’m hitting you, that’s who!”

He kicked again, this time striking Doctor Lu in the face, shattering his glasses and dislodging his front teeth, blood streaming from his nose.

”Thirteen thousand six hundred? To hell with that! Over ten thousand yuan just for a few injections?”

Chu Hao continued to kick Doctor Lu, who let out screams like a pig being slaughtered, writhing in agony.

Fang Jingxue hastily asked what was happening.

Chu Hao explained the situation. The policewoman was livid; her temper was infamous at the police station.

Fang Jingxue was even more extreme. She pulled out her service gun and shouted angrily, ”Hands on your head! You’re under arrest.”

Doctor Lu was completely dumbfounded, crying out, ”Don’t shoot! I’m not a criminal; I’m a doctor here.”

Fang Jingxue smacked the gun onto his head, causing him to bleed. She handcuffed him and declared, ”I am arresting you on charges of intimidation and threats. You have the right to remain silent, but anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law.”

Way to go.

Chu Hao said, ”People like him deserve a lesson. Dig into his past offenses and send him straight to prison.”

What? Check his past offenses? He had so many; going to prison would be letting him off lightly.

Fang Jingxue nodded as if her master’s words were an imperial edict.

”What are you doing!” A group of security guards rushed in, along with the young nurse from before, who cried out in alarm.

Chu Hao’s eyes were fierce as he stared at the young nurse and asked coldly, ”How much are this Master’s medical fees?”

The nurse was somewhat afraid, but with the security guards present, she mustered her courage and said, ”Thirteen thousand six hundred yuan.”

Chu Hao walked up to Doctor Lu and slapped him hard across the face. ”How much?”

Doctor Lu screamed. His teeth felt loose, and the pain was unbearable. He was genuinely terrified; Chu Hao was too ruthless.

”One thousand...”

Another slap almost knocked him out cold.

Chu Hao asked coldly, ”I’m asking you one more time. How much?”

”Waaah... one hundred thirty-six. I remembered wrong,” Doctor Lu blubbered, blood and snot bubbling from his nose, tears streaming down his face.

Chu Hao asked, ”How many times have you pulled this stunt?”

Seeing Chu Hao raise his hand again, Doctor Lu cried out, ”Many times! Please, don’t hit me anymore!”

Chu Hao sneered. ”I suspect this is a shady hospital. Investigate thoroughly. All these scum should be sent to prison.”

”Yes, Master.”

”DING! Host has successfully feigned coolness, gaining 40 Pretentiousness Points.”

Damn!

What kind of person was this? Was she even a cop? She just beat someone into submission!

The security guards didn’t know what to do. After all, the other party was a police officer. They couldn’t possibly fight the police, could they? That would be assaulting an officer.

”Are you all okay?” Chu Hao asked.

Zhong Minyue nodded. ”We’re fine now. Thank you for your help, Benefactor.”

Yun’er looked like she was about to cry. She was only around fifteen or sixteen. ”Will Master go to jail? I don’t want Master to go to jail. If Master is gone, Yun’er doesn’t want to live either.”

Such an innocent young girl, yet she was tainted by Doctor Lu, that Wang Ba.

Chu Hao consoled her. ”Yun’er, don’t worry. Your Master won’t go to jail. On the contrary, he will be the one going.”

Soon, a bald, middle-aged man rushed over; he was the deputy director of the hospital. He asked anxiously, ”What happened?”

Fang Jingxue replied coldly, ”This man has committed the crime of intimidation and issuing threats. I’m arresting him immediately. If there are any issues, we can discuss them back at the police station.”

Doctor Lu screamed, ”Deputy Director, save me!”

The deputy director glared at Doctor Lu. The fool wasn’t discreet enough, and now he got himself caught. He said, ”Officer, do you have an arrest warrant? This is a legitimate hospital.”

Chu Hao said to Doctor Lu, ”You better tell the whole story. If you have accomplices, even better. Otherwise, prepare to go to jail.”

Doctor Lu was truly terrified and shouted, ”Deputy Director, you have to help me! If you don’t, I’ll spill everything!”

The deputy director’s face darkened. This idiot is too damn foolish! They’re obviously just trying to scare him, and he wants to rat me out as well?

Fortunately, the deputy director reacted quickly, saying angrily, ”You dare to hit people! I’m going to sue you all!”

Chu Hao replied, ”Sure. I’ll be waiting for your lawsuit.”

Fang Jingxue, at the side, picked up her phone and made a call. ”Send a team over here. I suspect this hospital is involved in illicit activities.”

The deputy director panicked. Their hospital was indeed shady, and they had engaged in plenty of unsavory dealings.

Fang Jingxue shouted into the phone, ”Cut the crap! The evidence is solid! Get a hundred officers over here right away! I’m going to lock this place down!”

The person on the other end of the phone, startled, quickly agreed.

The deputy director almost coughed up blood. What kind of cops are these? They’re worse than bandits! Calling for a lockdown without any evidence.
