Flash Marriage: He is a Wife-pampering Addict

Chapter 1703: Chapter 1702: The Coat Carrying His Scent

Luo Haofeng turned his gaze to Tian Ruoyi’s smiling eyes and curled the corner of his lips, “The weather forecast says there will be snow from this evening through the whole night; I can’t guarantee the exact time.”

“I think it will snow.”

After Tian Ruoyi spoke, she looked at Bai Xiaoxiao, “Xiaoxiao, do you like watching snow?”

Bai Xiaoxiao smiled and nodded, “I do. When it used to snow, Ranran and I loved to build snowmen, but that takes heavy snow.”

“Ranran, is that Wen Ran?”

Tian Ruoyi blinked, asking curiously.

Bai Xiaoxiao wasn’t surprised she knew of Ranran’s existence. She glimpsed at Luo Haofeng with the corner of her eye, and he was looking at her and answered Tian Ruoyi’s question for her.

“It’s Wen Ran, the apple of Mo Xiuchen’s eye. We didn’t go on vacation last weekend; Mo Xiuchen was very happy.”

“Who told you to try being the third-wheel?”

Tian Ruoyi laughed softly.

“I wasn’t a third-wheel; it wasn’t just the two of them going for the trip.” Luo Haofeng laughed, defending himself.

Bai Xiaoxiao listened to their conversation and watched their smiles, feeling genuinely happy for Luo Haofeng.

Their feelings for each other must be good.

It seems Tian Ruoyi might become the lifelong companion of Luo Haofeng.

“Ah, we’re going off topic; weren’t we talking about the snow?”

Tian Ruoyi smiled as she brought the topic back, “If it snows today, it’ll be the first snowfall of the year.”

Secretary Qiao Siyi came in with a tray, coincidentally hearing Tian Ruoyi mention the first snow. She instinctively glanced at Bai Xiaoxiao and smiled as she joined the conversation, “They say if you watch the first snow with someone you love, the love will turn to water, freeze into ice, and never separate.”

“Secretary Qiao, you know about this too?”

Tian Ruoyi laughed and looked at Qiao Siyi.

Qiao Siyi smiled lightly without saying anything further.

“Plain water for Ruoyi and Xiaoxiao.” Luo Haofeng gently ordered.

His gaze turned to Bai Xiaoxiao.

Bai Xiaoxiao happened to be looking at him as well.

It was as if they had a mental connection.

Their eyes met once again.

Bai Xiaoxiao’s heartbeat skipped uncontrollably.

They say to watch the first snow with someone you love; years ago, she had such a girlish sentiment, but the man she loved didn’t love her back.

Therefore, she couldn’t fulfill her wish.

Later, she met Luo Haofeng, fell in love with him, yet couldn’t achieve her wish to watch the snow with someone she loves.

Qiao Siyi placed the plain water in front of Bai Xiaoxiao; Bai Xiaoxiao averted her gaze from Luo Haofeng and softly thanked her.

“Saying all that makes me hope it snows in the next few days.”

Beside them, Xiao Yuting sensed the atmosphere was a bit strange, chuckled, and took the topic.

Tian Ruoyi smiled at Xiao Yuting, “Seems like President Xiao wants to watch the first snow with someone he loves?”

Xiao Yuting raised his brows, “President Luo found such a good woman like Miss Tian; if I didn’t have someone I loved, it’d be too pitiful.”

“I’ve heard President Xiao used to be quite the ladies’ man, you shouldn’t be so modest.”

Xiao Yuting looked at Luo Haofeng, “President Luo, you’re being unkind. If there isn’t a girl in City B who admires me, it’s definitely because you ruined my reputation.”

Qiao Siyi quietly exited the office; as she closed the door, she couldn’t help but glance at Bai Xiaoxiao.

It was her first time seeing the woman the President liked.

Qiao Siyi couldn’t help but think of that night when Bai Xiaoxiao hung up on her, then later called Luo Haofeng…

Miss Bai is still concerned about the President.

But now, the President has a new girlfriend.

Qiao Siyi thought of this and furrowed her brows.

She had initially thought the President was dating Miss Tian to prevent Mrs. Luo from disturbing Miss Bai…

But these days, seeing the President and Miss Tian get along so well, this is the company, without Mrs. Luo watching, the President doesn’t seem to be putting up a front.

***

At three in the afternoon, Luo Haofeng personally took Bai Xiaoxiao and Xiao Yuting on a tour of the company.

“We’ll check out the workshop later.”

Leaving the marketing department, Luo Haofeng said to Xiao Yuting and Bai Xiaoxiao.

Along with them was Secretary Qiao.

As this was official business, Tian Ruoyi didn’t join them but returned to her own office to work.

“Is the factory far away?” Xiao Yuting looked at the gloomy weather outside as they left the company.

Though she wasn’t underdressed, Bai Xiaoxiao couldn’t help but shiver.

They had been at Luo Haofeng’s company for almost two hours; the temperature seemed to have dropped quite a few degrees, the biting wind hitting her face felt like being cut by knives.

“Put this coat on.”

A deep voice suddenly came from behind.

The man’s familiar masculine scent was blown into her nose, and Bai Xiaoxiao felt a tremor in her heart.

Turning around, she saw Luo Haofeng taking off his coat and draping it over her shoulders.

“No, no need, I’m not cold.”

Bai Xiaoxiao refused without thinking.

As soon as he took off the coat, he was left with only a thin woolen sweater.

The coat blocked the wind, while the woolen sweater didn’t.

“Put it on, there’s likely to be snow tonight.”

Luo Haofeng’s voice was low and domineering, carrying an unquestionable authority.

As he spoke, the coat had already been firmly draped over Bai Xiaoxiao’s shoulders, regardless of her willingness, or concern that him removing his coat for her might lead him to catch a cold.

“But you…”

Surrounded by the familiar scent, Bai Xiaoxiao’s heartbeat grew chaotic.

Even her voice carried a hint of unusualness.

Xiao Yuting and Qiao Siyi stood quietly aside, watching Luo Haofeng put the coat on Bai Xiaoxiao, without interfering.

“I’m fine, the driver is already waiting by the roadside; once we get in the car, it’ll be warm.”

Luo Haofeng smiled reassuringly at Bai Xiaoxiao, his distinctly jointed large palm lingering on her shoulder for a moment before slowly withdrawing.

As his hand withdrew, Bai Xiaoxiao inexplicably felt a fleeting emptiness inside.

A feeling she couldn’t express in words.

From the company entrance to the roadside wasn’t too far, but not too close either.

In this cold weather, even a second felt uncomfortable if you were cold.

With this coat, Bai Xiaoxiao felt warm all over, but seeing Luo Haofeng’s slightly lean figure ahead, even as she felt warm, a hint of astringency seeped into her heart.

She softly pressed her lips together, instinctively grasping the coat draped over her.

Actually, he didn’t have to be this good to her.

He now has a new girlfriend and should be treating Tian Ruoyi well instead.

“Xiaoxiao, get in.”

Luo Haofeng reached the car first; the driver opened the door, but he didn’t get in immediately. Instead, he stood in front of the car, smiling as he watched Bai Xiaoxiao.

The sound of his voice drew Bai Xiaoxiao back from her thoughts. She raised her eyes, still carrying unexpressed emotions, those eyes filled with complex sentiments capturing Luo Haofeng’s attention.
