Flash Marriage: He is a Wife-pampering Addict

Chapter 1701: Chapter 1700: Bullying Me for Not Having a Girlfriend

On the way to the hotel, Luo Haofeng was focused on driving, while Tian Ruoyi and Bai Xiaoxiao in the back seat were chatting about women’s topics.

Xiao Yuting, meanwhile, turned his head to look at the scenery outside the car window.

After a few minutes of driving, Xiao Yuting retracted his gaze from the scenery and turned his face to look at Luo Haofeng, who was driving alongside him, “President Luo usually drives himself, without a driver?”

“Most of the time, yes.”

Luo Haofeng glanced at him too, answering casually.

“Today, not only did President Luo personally pick us up at the airport, but also drove us himself. I must have to eat a lot later.”

Xiao Yuting laughed twice, showing a touch of pride between his brows.

Luo Haofeng wasn’t bothered by his teasing, and a pleasant curve appeared at the corner of his mouth, his gaze looking into the glasses to see that lovely face.

In his long, romantic eyes, a hint of warmth arose.

What does being a driver matter!

If he could see the woman he loves every day, be so close, he was willing to do anything.

In the back seat, Bai Xiaoxiao seemed to feel something, she raised her eyes to look at Luo Haofeng.

Luo Haofeng noticed her watching him, and a shimmer flashed in his eyes as he returned his gaze, focusing on the road ahead.

Tian Ruoyi spoke with a smile, “Miss Bai, can I call you Xiaoxiao from now on?”

Bai Xiaoxiao’s eyes flickered, she turned her eyes to meet Tian Ruoyi’s smiling gaze, and a smile also surfaced on her face, “Of course, you can.”

“That’s great then. Xiaoxiao, you can call me Ruoyi from now on.”

Bai Xiaoxiao nodded and said okay.

Although they met for the first time today, she could see that Tian Ruoyi was a graceful and dignified young lady, different in character from her.

But she didn’t dislike Tian Ruoyi.

Thinking of Tian Ruoyi as Jian Yiwei’s ex-girlfriend, she couldn’t help but sigh lightly in her heart.

“Xiaoxiao, have you been to City B before?”

Tian Ruoyi glanced at the receding buildings outside the car window and smiled as she asked.

As soon as she spoke, the expression of Luo Haofeng, who was driving, changed slightly.

The grip on the steering wheel seemed to tighten a bit.

Bai Xiaoxiao was also stunned.

She, like Luo Haofeng, thought of the time she came back to City B with him, secretly from her parents.

Tian Ruoyi read the subtle change in Bai Xiaoxiao’s expression, realizing she might have said something wrong, something that reminded Bai Xiaoxiao of unpleasant memories.

She frowned in frustration and said, “Xiaoxiao, the tourism industry in City B has been developing well these past few years. Why don’t you stay a couple more days this time and we go have some fun together?”

“Miss Tian is going to be our tour guide?”

Up front, Xiao Yuting interjected with a cheerful smile.

Tian Ruoyi chuckled, “With President Xiao and Xiaoxiao coming to City B, of course, Haofeng and I should show you hospitality.”

“President Luo, what kind of luck did you have to encounter such a wonderful lady like Miss Tian.”

Xiao Yuting teased as he looked at Luo Haofeng.

“Not telling you.”

Luo Haofeng raised his eyebrows and smiled.

Tian Ruoyi seemed a bit shy from their praise, “With President Xiao’s compliment, next time President Xiao brings a girlfriend to City B, I’ll definitely be your tour guide.”

“Haha, is Miss Tian teasing me because I don’t have a girlfriend?”

Xiao Yuting said as he looked at Bai Xiaoxiao, “Xiaoxiao, why don’t you be my girlfriend for a few days?”

Bai Xiaoxiao chuckled lightly, “Sorry, I’m not interested.”

“Xiaoxiao, at least save me some face now, you can reject me when we get to the hotel,” Xiao Yuting’s smile faded, replaced by a hurt expression.

Tian Ruoyi and Bai Xiaoxiao couldn’t help but laugh at his antics.

Throughout the ride, there was laughter and talking, not a hint of awkwardness.

Xiao Yuting listened to Tian Ruoyi and Bai Xiaoxiao’s pleasant conversation in the back, feeling strangely amused.

Their friendly and engaging interaction, despite one being an ex-girlfriend and the other a current girlfriend.

Luo Haofeng, this guy, is truly talented.

Arriving at the hotel.

This time, Tian Ruoyi and Bai Xiaoxiao walked ahead, with Luo Haofeng and Xiao Yuting following behind.

To welcome them, Luo Haofeng had reserved a private room in advance.

After entering the private room, they took off their jackets.

“Xiaoxiao, let’s sit together.”

Tian Ruoyi didn’t sit with Luo Haofeng, but rather got closer to Bai Xiaoxiao.

“Okay.” Bai Xiaoxiao nodded with a smile.

Just as they sat down, Meng Ke’s call came through.

Xiao Yuting leaned over to see the caller ID on Bai Xiaoxiao’s phone screen, scoffing, “Xiaoxiao, Meng Ke must be pretty anxious about you. You just made it to City B, and his call is already here.”

Across the table, Luo Haofeng waved to the waiter, signaling to serve the dishes.

He paused his gaze for a second on Bai Xiaoxiao’s phone, then picked up the kettle and poured water himself.

Bai Xiaoxiao did not answer Xiao Yuting’s question, she just glanced at him casually, to which Xiao Yuting shrugged uninterestedly and took a sip of the water Luo Haofeng poured.

“I’ll take the call outside.”

Bai Xiaoxiao rose from her seat, stepping out of the private room to answer the call.

Luo Haofeng’s motion of pouring water paused slightly.

Still holding the kettle, his gaze followed Bai Xiaoxiao’s departing figure until the door to the private room closed, and then he retracted his gaze.

Inside the private room, it felt as if something was abruptly missing.

Tian Ruoyi observed everything with a graceful smile on her face.

Bai Xiaoxiao completed the call quickly, just after two minutes, she had finished her conversation with Meng Ke.

Opening the door to the private room, the three inside immediately looked up at her.

“Xiaoxiao, that was quick?”

Tian Ruoyi asked with a pleasant smile.

Xiao Yuting just watched her with a bright smile, without speaking.

Luo Haofeng gave her a warm look, then lowered his gaze, picking up the water he had poured earlier and placing it in front of her.

Bai Xiaoxiao sat down again and only then did Luo Haofeng speak gently, “The dishes will be served shortly. This water isn’t hot, you can drink it.”

“Thank you.”

Bai Xiaoxiao glanced at Tian Ruoyi from the corner of her eye.

In front of Tian Ruoyi, Luo Haofeng’s concern made her feel uneasy.

Two minutes later, the waiter came in with the dishes.

The once-fragrant private room was suddenly filled with the rich aroma of delicious food.

Bai Xiaoxiao looked at the table full of dishes, all the ones she liked, not one missing.

Even the soup was her favorite.

Her gaze lingered on the dishes for two seconds, then she looked up at Luo Haofeng across the table.

Luo Haofeng seemed to know she would look at him, just like every other time, whether she raised her head or turned around, he was always waiting there.

Their eyes met, the smile in Luo Haofeng’s eyes spreading like ripples.

It was only a two-second gaze before he looked away, turning to Xiao Yuting, smiling as he said,

“President Xiao, we didn’t know your preferences, so we took the liberty of ordering these dishes. I hope you don’t mind?”

Xiao Yuting smiled casually, “As long as there are dishes Xiaoxiao likes, I don’t mind. Xiaoxiao, with President Luo and Miss Tian’s thoughtful effort, we ought to enjoy and eat plenty.”
