Flash Marriage: He is a Wife-pampering Addict

Chapter 1004: 1003, does your daughter have my share? Chapter 1004: 1003, does your daughter have my share? Last night, Bai Yiyi spoke with Wen Ran over the phone.

Initially, upon learning that Wen Ran was leaving the country today, she wished her a safe journey and to have fun abroad during their phone conversation.

This morning, after feeding Tongtong and lulling her back to sleep, Bai Yiyi herself practiced some yoga. At ten o’clock, she instructed the nanny to take good care of Tongtong and then left to do some shopping.

Unexpectedly, as soon as she stepped outside the residential complex’s gate, she saw Gu Kai emerging from a black sedan, dressed entirely in black. In the cold winter air, his stern face added an unbidden chill to the bone.

At the sight of Gu Kai, Bai Yiyi’s expression immediately changed.

Gu Kai also seemed surprised by their coincidental encounter as he approached her with long strides.

Standing two meters apart, Bai Yiyi regarded him with added wariness, instinctively gripping her purse strap tighter, the other hand pulling her coat closer around her. She pressed her lips together and stepped forward, pretending not to see him.

“Bai Yiyi.”

Gu Kai’s tall figure blocked her path, like a wall not only halting her progress but also casting a shadow over her face by blocking the sunlight above.

Bai Yiyi’s face darkened with displeasure as she asked, “What do you want?”

“I need to ask you something,” replied Gu Kai, his narrow eyes fixated on her sharply.

“I have nothing to say to you,” Bai Yiyi frowned, attempting to bypass him.

However, she couldn’t get past him; whether she moved left or right, Gu Kai stood in her way. “Get in the car, I’ll leave after I ask.”

Without waiting for Bai Yiyi to react, Gu Kai grabbed her and started walking her towards his car.

Bai Yiyi opened her mouth, then held back the urge to shout.

Gu Kai pulled Bai Yiyi in front of the car, opened the door, and pushed her inside.

Then, he walked around and took the driver’s seat.

“Buckle up.”

He instructed Bai Yiyi to fasten her seatbelt while doing the same himself.

Bai Yiyi watched him warily, “Whatever you have to say, say it here. I don’t have time.”

“You’re used to entanglements with men, but I’m not eager for people to know I have any involvement with you,” Gu Kai’s mocking words ignited Bai Yiyi’s anger again, and she angrily questioned, “If you’re afraid of being seen involved with me, why come to me at all?”

As she spoke, she reached for the car door to get out.

Gu Kai had already locked the door the moment she thought to leave, and Bai Yiyi couldn’t open the door. Her anger intensified: “Speak quickly if you have something to say.”

“Bitch.”

Gu Kai sneered, ignoring whether or not Bai Yiyi buckled her seatbelt, he leaned over to start the car.

The car burst forward, and Bai Yiyi let out a startled yelp as her body jerked heavily with the motion. She quickly steadied herself, “Gu Kai, you lunatic.”

Gu Kai ignored her rage, a satisfied smirk curving at his lips, clearly taking pleasure in Bai Yiyi’s discomfort.

A few minutes later, the car pulled into a shopping mall’s underground parking lot.

Only then did Gu Kai turn his head to look at Bai Yiyi sitting in the passenger seat, pursed his lips, and asked, “About that night, did you take any contraceptive pills afterward?”

Bai Yiyi’s complexion changed.

She had a premonition the moment she saw Gu Kai outside the residential complex: he was here for Tongtong.

But she never expected the man to be so direct.

Seeing his piercing gaze fixed on her, Bai Yiyi composed herself and replied coldly, “Did you bring me here just to ask that?”

Gu Kai said sternly, “Indeed, I need to know if your daughter has anything to do with me.”

Bai Yiyi looked at Gu Kai as if he were an idiot: “Are you sick? It was just an accidental one-night stand, and not only can you remember it for so long, but you’re also connecting it to a child.”

“Isn’t your daughter conceived that night, Bai Yiyi? How many men have you slept with?”

A fire inexplicably ignited in Gu Kai’s heart, he detested Bai Yiyi’s frivolous demeanor, just like the morning she woke up and realized they were lying in the same bed.

Bai Yiyi really wanted to slap Gu Kai across the face, she clenched her teeth and held back, “How many men I’ve slept with is none of your business, all you need to know is that Tongtong has nothing to do with you.”

“You…”

Gu Kai’s face went ashen as he said with hatred, “How many men you sleep with doesn’t concern me, but keep your dirty daughter away from my sister. I don’t want to see you in front of her again.”

“I’m dirty, but at least someone wants me, which is better than a thirty-year-old virgin who can’t get a woman.”

“Get lost!”

Gu Kai growled in annoyance.

Bai Yiyi sneered, pulled open the car door, and before getting out, she turned back to Gu Kai and said, “I hope you forget about that night and never mention it to anyone. I really don’t want people to know that I’ve been to bed with an inexperienced man.”

“Bai Yiyi, you get lost!”

The anger in Gu Kai’s voice was drowned out by the sound of the slamming car door. Watching Bai Yiyi’s retreating figure briskly walk away, he punched the steering wheel in rage.

Shameless woman!

He felt like he must have had his head caught in a door to think that her daughter had anything to do with him. Before coming here, he had even thought that if her daughter really was the fruit of that night,

Even if he didn’t take responsibility for her, he would fulfill his duty as a father to her daughter.

But now, Gu Kai felt like he was a joke.

That woman, she actually dared to mock him, repeatedly humiliating him.

As Gu Kai seethed with a murderous rage, Bai Yiyi quickly left the underground parking lot and went into the mall. She looked back to make sure Gu Kai wasn’t following her before finally letting out a long sigh.

After hearing what was just said, Gu Kai probably wouldn’t come looking for her to inquire about Tongtong’s parentage anymore.

Thinking of Gu Kai’s livid face, as if he wanted to strangle her, Bai Yiyi furrowed her brow; had her words just now been a tad too harsh?

Although that man was hateful, he was, after all, Wen Ran’s brother. If she were to continue being friends with Wen Ran, she would inevitably encounter Gu Kai again in the future.

Her phone rang abruptly, interrupting her thoughts. Bai Yiyi stepped onto the elevator and took out her phone to answer the call, “Hello, Elder Brother Li.”

“Yiyi, where are you?”

Li En’s voice came through the phone, carrying a hint of vague concern.

Bai Yiyi’s eyes flickered. Having reached the third floor, she pulled over a shopping cart. “I’m shopping in the mall, Elder Brother Li, is something wrong?”

“I’ve sent you some New Year’s goods, and just now, the security guard at the gate told me you got into a car with a strange man.”

Li En’s voice was caring and probing.

Bai Yiyi furrowed her brow, unable to help cursing Gu Kai inwardly — blame him. There was a security guard who had received Li En’s favor; she had indeed forgotten that detail.
