Abandoned Woman Busy Farming

Chapter 3005: Chapter 3006: Sangta’s Wedding Kidnapping

”What do you think?” Bai Ruozhu asked.

”When that astrologer becomes part of the Zhong Family, you just have to follow us, but before that, I hope you can persuade Ao Song not to act recklessly.” Zhong Madame spoke earnestly, almost pleadingly.

It’s the parental heart that can’t be blamed, and Bai Ruozhu couldn’t fault her, but she also couldn’t promise anything.

”I’ll talk to Ao Song, ask her what she thinks first.” Bai Ruozhu said.

”Alright, alright, you persuade her, her situation is really different. If she wasn’t...” Zhong Madame paused and sighed, ”I wouldn’t stop her then. Our family understands gratitude and repayment.”

Bidding farewell to Zhong Madame, Bai Ruozhu felt somewhat heavy-hearted. She suspected that the Zhong Family had hidden some kind of treasure, which granted its family members certain advantages over ordinary people.

But this treasure might be different for each member, and Ao Song was likely its next chosen owner.

Bai Ruozhu wasn’t sure if her guess was correct, but she could only think this way for now.

As for any backlash, it might be that someone did something to the treasure without the Zhong Family’s knowledge.

She was lost in her thoughts as she went to find Ao Song, who was staring blankly at the unconscious astrologer.

”Your mother just came to see me.” Bai Ruozhu said directly.

Ao Song showed a bitter smile, ”She asked you to persuade me, right? Don’t bother, I’ve made up my mind and won’t change.”

”I didn’t plan on persuading you, but your mother said your situation is different from ordinary Zhong Family members. I don’t know exactly how it’s different, so I wanted to remind you to think clearly about the consequences, whether they would endanger you and the astrologer.” Bai Ruozhu said carefully.

”I...” Ao Song hesitated, ”I don’t want to be too special. Although I’m the apple of my parents’ eyes and a child being cultivated by the family with all efforts, I’d rather be ordinary.”

Bai Ruozhu sighed, ”I love seeing you and the astrologer together the most. You should understand my intentions, but I really don’t know your situation. Only you know yourself best, and only you can decide your future.”

”I understand, Sister Ruozhu, no need to say more. Come to our wedding tonight, and I will save him tomorrow.” Ao Song said resolutely.

”Alright.”

Bai Ruozhu didn’t say more; she couldn’t make the decision for Ao Song, only offer some reminders.

Evening came quickly, the sky darkened, but the Zhong Residence was brightly decorated with red lanterns everywhere.

”Father, keep everything simple, please.” Ao Song had already changed into a bright red wedding dress. Because it was so rushed, this dress wasn’t prepared by her mother but borrowed from a cousin who had married not long ago.

Ao Song was still a little girl, and the dress appeared large on her, not quite fitting.

Zhong Madame couldn’t help but burst into tears again, her daughter whom she cherished, she had imagined her daughter’s wedding many times and wanted to prepare a grand dowry for her, but fate played a joke on them, and her daughter was marrying so hastily.

A clan elder from the Zhong Family disapproved, saying, ”This is too rushed; no family marries off their daughter at night.”

”Time doesn’t wait, I ask for your understanding, third grandpa.” Ao Song bowed respectfully, with no hint of her usual capriciousness, instead displaying solemnity and hidden patience.

Zhong Kui’s eyes reddened, his daughter had grown up, grown up in such circumstances.

Bai Ruozhu’s nose was sour, and she quietly held Jiang Yichun’s hand. Jiang Yichun turned to her, whispered, ”It’s okay, the astrologer will be saved.”

The sound of joyful music came from outside, Bai Ruozhu turned to see two servants carrying a soft lounge, with the astrologer placed on it.

The astrologer was covered with a bright red quilt, and a red groom’s hat was placed on his head, even his face was powdered with red blush, making his complexion much rosier, though it brought some amusement when a man was made up like this.

But no one showed joy, only deep worry.

”Today everything is kept simple, only inviting the clan elders to witness the marriage, to help sign the... marriage contract.” Zhong Kui said, trembling on the last two words.

Ao Song, however, laughed as she took his arm, ”Father, even though I’m married, I’m still a part of the Zhong Family, haven’t left you and mother, don’t be sad.”

Zhong Kui turned away to wipe the corner of his eye, saying, ”Father is just a bit emotional, a bit excited, didn’t expect my daughter to be married off so soon.”

”Songsong, you again...” Zhong Madame still hadn’t given up, wanting to persuade her once more.

But Ao Song quickly stepped forward, stopping her words.

”Mother, please check if my phoenix crown is crooked?” She smiled so sweetly, a smile that blocked Zhong Madame’s words, unwilling to say more.

The soft lounge was placed in the middle of the wedding hall, Ao Song glanced at the astrologer, who would be her husband from now on, regardless of what he becomes, he would be Ao Song’s person.

From outside the steward came running, shouting anxiously, ”Master, the Sangta King of the Barbarian Tribe has arrived, requesting to see Miss.”

Zhong Madame’s eyes brightened, ”Quickly invite him in!”

It seemed she knew Ao Song liked Sangta before, maybe Sangta could change Ao Song’s decision now?

Bai Ruozhu’s heart felt blocked, why did Sangta come at this time? Wouldn’t this just cause Ao Song more pain?

Sangta burst into the wedding hall like a whirlwind, stunned when he saw Ao Song in her bride’s attire.

”I heard you had an accident on the way, so I rushed here. What’s going on...” He saw the astrologer lying on the soft lounge, realizing instantly.

He pointed at the astrologer, asking, ”You’re marrying him?”

Ao Song’s eyes reddened, tears welled up in her eyes, barely holding them back.

”Yes, today is our big day, you came just in time to have a drink.” Her voice trembled.

Sangta suddenly rushed over, grabbing Ao Song’s arm. How could the Zhong Family let him act wildly, the servants were about to act, but were stopped by Zhong Madame’s gesture.

”Are you crazy? If you want to repay a favor, I can help you. What are you doing?” Sangta angrily asked.

Ao Song pulled her arm free with force, ”Sangta, I consider you a friend. If you are here to bless me, I thank you. If you are here to cause trouble, then from today on, we are no longer friends! Please leave the Zhong Family.”

Sangta looked at Zhong Kui, ”She’s impulsive and unreasonable, are you going along with her nonsense? This man is barely breathing, is she getting married to become a widow?”

As he finished speaking, Bai Ruozhu moved swiftly, striking his chest with a palm.

However, Bai Ruozhu didn’t use full force, only pushing him back by two steps.

”Who says the astrologer is barely breathing? He won’t die! Now is not the time for you to say such inauspicious words!” Bai Ruozhu said angrily.
