Abandoned Woman Busy Farming

Chapter 2134: Chapter 2132: Loyal and True

”His name is Sun Xu, you’ll know when you see him at the Disciplinary Hall, or you can ask him to see if I’m lying.” Bi Tao blushed; asking Bai Ruozhu to ask Sun Xu about such matters was truly embarrassing for her, but she didn’t want Bai Ruozhu to misunderstand her forever.

”You said his name is Sun Xu?” Bai Ruozhu’s heart sank to the bottom, Bi Tao’s demeanor was not like she was lying, then could it be...

”Yes, it looks like you’ve met him, you remember him.” Bi Tao smiled sweetly, ”Isn’t he a bit silly? I wonder if my mother will like him.”

”Has he been looking for you these few days? What has he told you?” Bai Ruozhu hurriedly asked.

Bi Tao blushed even more, ”There’s so much going on in the clan, we can’t always think about romance. After he got out of jail, he found me, saying he would practice diligently and protect me well in the future. But we haven’t met recently.”

Bai Ruozhu sighed in relief; at least it wasn’t that monster using Sun Xu’s identity to deceive Bi Tao, otherwise her next target might very well be Bi Tao.

But from the timeline Bi Tao described, the one who wanted to protect her and admired her was the real Sun Xu, and the one she fell for was the real Sun Xu, but Sun Xu was no longer around.

”What’s wrong? Nothing happened to him, right?” Bi Tao sensed something was off with Bai Ruozhu, and her smile slowly faded as she anxiously pressed for answers.

”Earlier, when you went into that secret realm, you didn’t see how terrifying that monster was. Later, we caught the monster, and to avoid panic, we only told the clan that we had captured a murderous monster, without mentioning that after escaping the secret realm, it had taken over a clan member’s body, making it easier to hide and harm others...”

Before Bai Ruozhu could finish, Bi Tao staggered, looking like she would collapse.

”You’re saying it’s Sun Xu? That’s impossible! Bai Ruozhu, I know you don’t like me, but this isn’t something to joke about. Tell me, are you trying to scare me?” Bi Tao, panicked, grabbed Bai Ruozhu’s collar, asking repeatedly, only wanting to hear her say it had nothing to do with Sun Xu, but Bai Ruozhu remained silent.

She knew this was too cruel for Bi Tao, but she had to know eventually. If not now, and if the monster used her, wouldn’t the consequences be even worse?

”No, I have to see him for myself to believe it!” Bi Tao said, rushing towards the Confinement Room. Bai Ruozhu quickly caught up and pulled her back.

”Wake up, there’s no room for mistakes there. If the monster escapes, more people in the clan will be hurt, and since you say you love Sun Xu, you can’t let the monster go. Otherwise, how will you avenge Sun Xu?” Bai Ruozhu said.

Bi Tao suddenly collapsed onto the ground, crying loudly, ”Why him, why him!”

Bai Ruozhu sighed, let her cry, for if she didn’t let it out, she’d feel worse.

After a while, Bi Tao finally stopped crying. She wiped her tears hard, her eyes swollen like little peaches.

”I still want to see, but don’t worry, I won’t act impulsively.” Bi Tao said firmly.

Bai Ruozhu nodded, ”Come with me, but make sure not to disturb the people from Wei Hall.”

”Don’t worry, I know the weight of the situation.” Bi Tao couldn’t help but sniffle.

Bai Ruozhu suddenly felt it might be better for her to know sooner. This relationship had just begun, though it was heartbreaking and sad, but it was better than having the person you love being suddenly murdered when the love was at its peak.

The one on duty today was the Fifth Elder. He intended to greet them with a smile when he saw Bai Ruozhu bringing Bi Tao along, but seeing Bi Tao’s swollen eyes, he swallowed his words.

Bi Tao stared intently at the person in the Confinement Room; that person looked exactly like the Sun Xu she knew. But of course, since the monster used Sun Xu’s body, they had to look the same.

But she noticed something different, ”Sun Xu” suddenly opened his eyes, they gleamed brightly, and his gaze outside was taunting, even carrying some evil aura. This certainly wasn’t the Sun Xu she knew!

Sun Xu couldn’t be like this, his personality wasn’t like this!

Bi Tao went weak, collapsing to the ground, covering her face and crying loudly.

The Fifth Elder gave Bai Ruozhu a questioning look. Bai Ruozhu looked at the ”Sun Xu” inside and shook her head at the Fifth Elder.

Being experienced, the Fifth Elder soon understood, sighed, shook his head, love was indeed the most annoying thing, and encountering such matters, it was the poor fate of a young girl.

Bai Ruozhu went over to support Bi Tao, saying softly, ”Alright, let’s go.”

Bi Tao was hesitant to leave, or perhaps she still held a glimmer of hope that the real Sun Xu was alive.

”We agreed before, you need to be rational.” Bai Ruozhu emphasized her tone a bit, and Bi Tao, stunned, was soon helped up by her, and left together.

Seeing her cry like that, Bai Ruozhu had no choice but to personally escort her home, not wanting Wu Wu to think her daughter was being bullied and almost start a fight with Bai Ruozhu.

”Mother, you misunderstood, Ruozhu helped me.” Bi Tao hurried to intervene with her mother, then turned to Bai Ruozhu and said, ”Thank you for today, you can go now, I will explain to my mother.”

Bai Ruozhu nodded and took her leave.

”Peach, what on earth happened? Why are you crying like this? It really wasn’t Bai Ruozhu bullying you? Just tell me, don’t be afraid of them. Even if I can’t make the decision, your Master can back you up!” Wu Wu said.

Bi Tao suddenly exploded, ”Mother!” She shouted, startling Wu Wu.

”Stop troubling Master, and don’t drag me and Bai Zepei together; if you don’t want to strain relationships with Aunt and Master, feel free to ignore me and continue your antics.” Bi Tao said bluntly, her tone not very kind.

”What, what’s going on?” Wu Wu was unsure about her daughter’s attitude.

Bi Tao couldn’t help but start crying again, ”Mother, I liked someone, but he...”

Then Bi Tao told Wu Wu about Sun Xu. Back then, the mother and daughter were deliberately separated and imprisoned, so Wu Wu didn’t know Sun Xu had saved Bi Tao, nor that the two had already developed feelings, let alone that Sun Xu had suffered misfortune.

After hearing it all, she hugged her daughter and cried too, only saying after a long while, ”Sun Xu only had one mother left, let’s look after his widow more in the future.”

”Mother, thank you.” Bi Tao cried in response.

Bai Ruozhu didn’t actually leave but hid behind Wu Wu’s house to observe the reactions of the mother and daughter. She worried Bi Tao might have some irrational thoughts in a moment of impulsiveness, but after witnessing everything, her impression of Wu Wu improved quite a bit. Though they had their selfish aspects, they were undeniably people of emotion and righteousness.

Leaving Wu Wu’s house, she headed to the Peach Forest. Feng Cheng hadn’t returned with reinforcements yet, and it’s likely the people from Wei Hall wouldn’t last until the following evening.
