Abandoned Woman Busy Farming

Chapter 2115: Chapter 2113: The Core Has Changed

Elder Su said sternly, ”Girl from the Fo family, we won’t target you. You’re also a victim; stay and recover well.”

Fo Lanying smiled bitterly, ”I’ve become like this, so why stay? I have my own path; you don’t need to worry about me.”

She stubbornly continued walking forward, slowly disappearing from everyone’s sight.

Soon, someone found the relocated clan members, and Bai Ruozhu hurried over. Several elders found their families and couldn’t help but embrace and cry.

But soon everyone also noticed a problem; these people had somewhat vacant expressions, and their reactions were slower than before.

”Are they poisoned?” Seventh Elder asked worriedly.

Bai Ruozhu shook her head, ”They’re not poisoned.”

The Tenth Elder examined a few people and angrily said, ”It’s Second Elder’s evil technique! But it’s just starting, first causing mental numbness, making them more dazed than usual, and then gradually making them completely obedient to him. When the technique fully takes effect, they’ll look like their normal selves again, but inside they’ll be incredibly loyal to Second Elder.”

”That’s just brainwashing,” Bai Ruozhu couldn’t help but mutter, thinking that monster must be helping him; otherwise, how could Second Elder have such ability.

”What do we do now?” Fifth Elder slapped the prison cell door, startling many people.

”Don’t worry, as long as Second Elder doesn’t continue the curse, they should recover in a few days, without the trouble of those completely controlled people,” Tenth Elder said.

The elders breathed a sigh of relief; many of them were their family and blood relatives here.

...

At the entrance of the secret realm, Second Elder clutched his chest and awkwardly opened the stone gate, then quickly rushed into the secret realm, running all the way toward the mysterious palace.

Soon he entered the palace, and found that mass of black fog on the throne in the center of the main hall.

He rushed forward, fell on his knees, ”Master, I fell victim to their plot. A girl named Bai Ruozhu actually isn’t afraid of the black fog you gave me, and I was even heavily injured by them. Please, master, make the decision for me!”

It was better not to mention Bai Ruozhu; just mentioning her made the monster suddenly more agitated, and beastly roars kept echoing: ”Useless! What good are you?”

A hand formed of black fog suddenly extended and gripped Second Elder’s neck; Second Elder felt difficulty breathing, and his expression became particularly pained.

”Master, you can’t kill me; I still need to work for you. I can bring more fresh meat for your offering.” He pleaded.

The monster laughed, ”You’ve become like this; what kind of sacrifices can you bring for me? You should die!”

Soon Second Elder’s complexion became darker and darker, he struggled desperately but couldn’t escape the black hand on his neck. He pleas for mercy until he couldn’t make a sound, and finally stopped breathing.

The black fog withdrew, and Second Elder’s body fell limp to the ground.

The monster laughed as if countless beasts were simultaneously roaring. Suddenly, black fog slowly enveloped Second Elder’s body and then gradually burrowed into his body.

After about half an hour, Second Elder’s body, well, it should be called a corpse now. Just quietly lay aside, with the black fog also disappearing as if nothing had happened before.

Suddenly, Second Elder’s eyes abruptly opened, emitting a sharp gaze filled with murderous intent.

Then his mouth curled up, revealing a wicked smile that looked particularly strange along with his old face.

”Although this body is old and somewhat useless, I can reluctantly make do with it for now!”

The voice had a flippant tone, and listening closely, it was no longer Second Elder’s voice.

After finishing, he crawled up from the ground, dusted off the dirt on his body, and transformed from his earlier embarrassed state into someone with confidence. He concentrated the energy in his hand downward, quickly repressing the internal injuries, and then used his sleeve to wipe the bloodstains from the corner of his mouth. He reverted to the high and mighty Second Elder.

But the essence had changed.

When the sky turned completely dark, and a crescent moon hung in the black night sky, emitting a bleak light.

”Second Elder” flashed to the main hall entrance; suddenly, he spat out a mouthful of blood. His expression changed slightly and quickly reached to point a few spots on his chest, muttering, ”This body is still too weak, unable to withstand my power. That one named Feng Cheng is quite good, but unfortunately...”

He chuckled evilly, ”Never mind, I’ll refrain from provoking that group for now.”

This time he lowered his speed; this body couldn’t withstand him using great strength.

Before long, he reached the exit, quickly opened the stone gate, and swaggered out.

He sniffed, sneering inside; so soon there’s fresh meat, he hadn’t felt this free in years.

”Second Elder is out!” Someone whispered to alert their companion, immediately signaling Elder Su. ”Second Elder” pretended not to see any of this, clutching his chest, pretending to flee into the mountains with a serious injury.

Soon Elder Su and their team appeared, with Bai Ruozhu in the team as well, quickly surrounding Second Elder.

”How did you come out so fast? Did your master give you some benefit again?” Third Elder sarcastically asked.

”Second Elder” showed a fierce expression, ”Enough with the nonsense; since you want to destroy me, I’ll fight you!”

He immediately pushed out his palms, releasing a burst of black fog.

”Again? Aren’t you tired?” Bai Ruozhu mocked, stepping in front.

”Second Elder” deliberately showed a panicked expression, gritting his teeth to channel more black Qi, but of course, this Qi couldn’t compare to the monster’s release; it was the same thin black fog that Second Elder could previously emit.

Soon he couldn’t release any black fog anymore and said angrily, ”No, not possible; you absorbed the master’s Qi, you will definitely die!”

”Everyone together, let’s kill this traitor today!” Third Elder shouted.

The elders all struck at once, and within moments ”Second Elder” was knocked to the ground, and soon he closed his eyes in unwillingness, stopping breathing.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief; this great menace had finally been removed.

But Bai Ruozhu furrowed her brows feeling that Second Elder died too easily, something seemed off.

Just then, unnoticed by others, a mass of black fog floated out of Second Elder’s body and burrowed into a young man’s body. The moonlight was dim, making it impossible to detect the evil black fog.

The young man into whom the black fog entered trembled slightly, then soon closed his eyes, but his body, supported by the black fog, remained standing, showing no signs of anything amiss.

After a while, he reopened his eyes, with a sharp glow at the bottom revealing an evil aura.

He tilted his mouth into a silent wicked smile, contemptuously glanced at Second Elder’s corpse on the ground, and softly snorted.
