Abandoned Woman Busy Farming

Chapter 783: Chapter 785: I Want You as My Master

Elder Wu disdainfully said, ”Your Huashan Sect’s work efficiency leaves a lot to be desired.”

After he finished speaking, he beckoned to two disciples who accompanied him, said, ”It’s your turn.”

”Yes, elder.” The two respectfully bowed, just to see Elder Wu simultaneously waved his sleeves, striking the two disciples, causing them to spit blood synchronously. Elder Wu then said to the head of Huashan Sect, ”Check them and see if their internal injuries are the same?”

The Huashan Sect leader’s mouth twitched as he inspected them, couldn’t help but sigh, ”A change of competition would have been sufficient, Elder Wu, there was no need to hurt them.”

Elder Wu scoffed contemptuously, ”That’s how we do challenges in Western Regions. You people from the Central Plains are too coddling.”

Bai Ruozhu squinted at Elder Wu, she didn’t like his method of unnecessarily injuring people, the kind of person who is never satisfied until causing harm. The entire Huashan Sect was also very indignant, with some young and hot-blooded disciples already starting to heckle loudly.

Chu Han on stage once again lost his patience, urging the competition to proceed quickly. Alas, this time Bai Ruozhu lacked the advantage, as she didn’t have Chu Han’s profound inner strength to enter the injured person’s body and help clear their meridians. She could only use acupuncture for treatment, but still fell short in comparison to Chu Han.

”I lost.” She calmly admitted, in this aspect, she genuinely was inferior to him.

Chu Han glanced at her, indifferently remarking, ”You just fell short due to insufficient inner strength. Considering that you joined the Huashan Sect just today, it’s understandable.”

Then the third round of the competition began. Although Bai Ruozhu’s martial arts were not on par with Chu Han, she still managed to poison him. However, she also ended up being poisoned by him, making it a reluctant draw.

The person with two wins out of three would be considered the victor, and so, both of them were neck and neck.

The members of the Huashan Sect felt it was a pity, but at least they didn’t lose, which was the best outcome. After all, it was unavoidable that Bai Ruozhu’s martial arts skills were lacking.

Not in any hurry to leave, about half an hour later, Chu Han suddenly collapsed on the ground, unable even to move a finger. Similarly, Elder Wu also collapsed not far away, presenting the same symptoms as Chu Han.

Because of full-body paralysis, their tongues were also paralyzed, leaving them unable to speak. Elder Wu glared angrily at Bai Ruozhu, realizing too late that he had also been poisoned. This woman from the Central Plains was truly cunning.

Diao Yao, still innocently clapping and laughing by the side, cheerfully said, ”Sister Bai is so powerful, indeed is capable of full-body paralysis, even my master, with his profound inner strength, was poisoned. Your medicine is amazing!”

Elder Wu glared even more intensely at Diao Yao, cursing her for being insensitive. Unfortunately, Diao Yao paid him no attention and didn’t pick up on his furious glare.

Even the other disciples of Bihai Sect found it strange and huddled together to discuss. Bai Ruozhu only then noticed that the Bihai Sect’s disciples were all somewhat knowledgeable about medicine, which was quite interesting.

Chu Han’s gaze was already fixed on Bai Ruozhu. There was no hatred, just a complex look that even contained a hint of admiration.

Feeling that it was about time, Bai Ruozhu went over to let them smell the antidote, and gradually they started to regain their movements.

When Elder Wu finally climbed up from the ground, he glared unhappily at Bai Ruozhu, questioning, ”When did you secretly poison me, what ulterior motives do you have?”

Bai Ruozhu feigned innocence, ”When did I ever poison you, Elder Wu? With my martial arts, how dare I make a move under your watchful eyes? As you mentioned earlier, you smelled some medicine. It must be because of that.”

Elder Wu had profound inner strength, so during the first round, he used it to take a sniff of the air above the stage, and Bai Ruozhu, knowing this, intentionally didn’t warn him, waiting to see him make a fool of himself.

Finally, Elder Wu tasted the truth, understood why Bai Ruozhu had been laughing like a sly fox, he pointed at her furiously exclaiming, ”Such a cunning and sinister woman!”

Bai Ruozhu shrugged her shoulders, ”You were the one who inhaled it, how can you blame me?”

Fearing Bai Ruozhu might be at a disadvantage, the head of Huashan Sect quickly changed the topic, inviting the guests to dine.

At this point, Chu Han got up and walked step by step toward Bai Ruozhu. Jianqi immediately intervened, blocking Bai Ruozhu’s path. The others also stirred, fixing their eyes on the people from Bihai Sect.

”Can’t you accept defeat?” Jianqi’s voice was cold, tinged with contempt and provocation.

Chu Han’s face also turned grim. However, he didn’t look at Jianqi, his gaze was as if trying to look past him, ”Your medical skills are superior to mine, I wish to acknowledge you as my master.”

For a moment, everyone fell silent, as if stunned. Bai Ruozhu hadn’t expected that - they had only drawn in the competition, why would he want to acknowledge her as his master?

Elder Wu had the quickest reaction, he jumped to his feet from his seat, loudly protested, ”Chu Han, don’t be absurd! Just because someone is stronger than you, you want to become their disciple, then you could have many masters, why involve this young girl?”

Bai Ruozhu was seventeen this year, she certainly was just a young girl in Elder Wu’s eyes.

Diao Yao, enjoying the chaos, clapped her hands and laughed, ”Brother Han is engrossed in the way of healing, acknowledging Sister Bai as a master would be the best, his medical skills might even improve.”

Bai Ruozhu twitched her mouth, she wasn’t a divine doctor nor did she see herself as one, moreover, she believed in the saying ’Exceeding one is below another.’ All she had was some ideology from the previous life, along with, by sheer fortune, obtaining the Poison Scripture. Otherwise...

Wait, the Poison Scripture? Could it be that Chu Han saw something and is after the Poison Scripture?

”Sorry, I don’t take disciples.” With this thought, Bai Ruozhu immediately and decisively rejected him.

Even if Chu Han wasn’t after the Poison Scripture, she couldn’t accept a handsome man as her disciple, Jiang Yichun would undoubtedly be jealous to pieces.

Chu Han, ignoring Elder Wu, continued to look at Bai Ruozhu, ”I want to acknowledge you as my master.”

”I already said I don’t take disciples.” Bai Ruozhu thought to herself that this man was really stubborn.

Diao Yao came running over but was stopped by Chen Feng. She looked pitifully at Bai Ruozhu and said, ”Sister Bai, Brother Han is not a formal disciple of our Bihai Sect, he just holds a nominal status. It doesn’t affect you taking him as a disciple.”

With these words, Elder Wu couldn’t maintain his dignity. Just now, he had been inquiring about Bai Ruozhu’s situation and even made fun of the Huashan Sect for having no personnel. But didn’t he also let a nominal disciple compete?

Bai Ruozhu, not having the heart to refuse a beggar-like girl, could only shed a bitter smile and say, ”I genuinely can’t afford to take a disciple.”

Seeing the situation, Xuan Jizi hastily mediated, ”Everyone’s traveled a long way and must be tired, quickly go freshen up. In a while, our Huashan Sect will hold a banquet to entertain you.”

Being desperate for Chu Han to change his mind, Elder Wu hurriedly took his disciples and left. Chu Han and Diao Yao were also escorted away.

When Chu Han walked quite a distance, he turned back to look at Bai Ruozhu, as if staring at a unique medical book, which made her shiver involuntarily.

The sect leader and the elders such as Xuan Jizi came to thank Bai Ruozhu one after another, saying she saved face for the Huashan Sect. Bai Ruozhu, not wanting to be in the limelight, laughed it off, ”Their competition was just too strange. I just happened to know medical skills. You don’t need to thank me. You can take care of my brother more in the future.”
