Abandoned Woman Busy Farming

Chapter 773: Chapter 775: New life, New danger

At this moment, Xie Dun had no mood to deal with others. Seeing that the baby’s position had not corrected, he was already agitated to the point of murder.

”Alright, thank you for your hard work,” he replied to Jiang Yichun without looking.

Ruyi was quicker with her reaction, reminding him, ”Master, should I arrange a guest room for our guest? The child also needs rest.”

Only then did Xie Dun react, nodding apologetically at Jiang Yichun and replying to Ruyi, ”Yes, go and arrange that at once.”

Jiang Yichun started to stroll around the yard holding Dengdeng. He had just met the Bai Zepei brothers at home and roughly explained their journey to the Capital City, including his current position and assignments. The Bai family was relieved to hear he no longer worked at the Tongzheng Division.

After dinner, he came over to the Xie Family’s home carrying the child. However, Bai Ruozhu’s two elder brothers found it inconvenient and embarrassing to visit, so they stayed home.

Jiang Yichun wandered the yard with Dengdeng who soon fell asleep. Suddenly, Yu Hongxiu screamed, causing Dengdeng to frown and grunt a few times, obviously disturbed by the noise. Jiang Yichun didn’t know what to do, so after informing Bai Ruozhu, he took Dengdeng to the guest room.

Bai Ruozhu was in the room gently soothing Yu Hongxiu, ”Inhale, exhale. Yes, just like that. Try not to yell, otherwise you will exhaust your energy and won’t have any left for when the baby is coming. Remember, you are having two. Be brave, Sister Hongxiu.”

Yu Hongxiu nodded in pain, eyebrows knitted tightly together, ”How much... longer... I can’t take it.”

Bai Ruozhu wanted to say it was still early, but she didn’t have the heart to discourage Yu Hongxiu. She instead assured her, ”It won’t be long now. Try to relax; maybe you can give birth soon.”

Then, Yu Hongxiu’s contractions became more and more frequent, and she became more and more miserable. Despite her efforts to keep quiet, she couldn’t help but moan in pain. Xie Dun couldn’t stand it anymore and burst into the delivery room, grabbing Yu Hongxiu’s hand and saying, ”Hongxiu, I am with you. Don’t be afraid.”

Yu Hongxiu was shocked and managed to say, ”Master, please go out. Men should not enter here; it’s not auspicious.”

”I, Xie Dun, do not care about such things. I have to be with you and our child,” Xie Dun said.

Yu Hongxiu was still hesitant. She felt it was embarrassing to have Xie Dun with her, and she also worried that his presence would affect Bai Ruozhu and Hao Baishuang’s work.

”Let him stay. In the Western Countries overseas, husbands often accompany their wives during childbirth. They can witness the birth of their child firsthand, provide care and encouragement to their wives, and better understand the hardships of childbirth,” Bai Ruozhu said. After all, wasn’t this how it was in modern hospitals?

Hao Baishuang had been silent this whole time and didn’t show any displeasure. Yu Hongxiu, who was quite fearful inside, actually wanted Xie Dun to accompany her. After hearing Bai Ruozhu’s words, she didn’t object anymore.

Soon, Yu Hongxiu’s pain increased. With each contraction, she couldn’t help but yell, but she was able to control herself and not scream too loudly.

After Jiang Yichun had spent some time with his son in the guest room, he asked a dark guard to watch Dengdeng and he went to the outside of Yu Hongxiu’s room. Before he could get there, he saw a shadow sneaking from the side. He rushed over and kicked the shadow away.

”Ah...” A terrible scream rang out. The shadow was thrown two or three meters away. By the moonlight, Jiang Yichun saw the figure clearly—it was Deng Shi, whom Bai Ruozhu had served a good beating earlier.

Deng Shi lay on the ground, screaming. Her voice even drowned out Yu Hongxiu’s cries from the delivery room. Jiang Yichun walked over and gave her another kick, coldly commanding, ”Keep quiet, or I’ll render you useless!”

Deng Shi was startled and quickly fell silent, only managing to make weak huffing sounds, clearly in great pain.

Not far away, Lin Ping’er wasn’t too busy. Hearing the noise, she advised Jiang Yichun, ”Sir, we should tie these two up. We need to hand them over to the Government Office tomorrow morning.”

”Alright, Mother.” Jiang Yichun immediately ordered the guards to tie them up.

Deng Shi whimpered, ”You can’t treat me like this. I’m Xie Dun’s aunt.”

Xie Dun was inside, holding Yu Hongxiu’s hand. Hearing the disturbance, he reassured Yu Hongxiu, ”I’ll be right back.”

Then he walked to the door, raised his voice to Deng Shi, ”You plotted against my wife and child, so as far as I’m concerned, you’re no aunt of mine. From now on, we are mortal enemies. If you have any complaints, tell the Government Office.”

Bai Ruozhu looked up at Xie Dun, thinking to herself that he was finally showing some backbone.

Shortly after midnight, Hao Baishuang quietly announced ”it’s time,” and Bai Ruozhu quickly went over to check. Sure enough, the position of both babies had corrected.

Hearing this, Yu Hongxiu breathed a sigh of relief. Suddenly she relaxed, her cervix dilated, and before long the first baby was successfully born.

Lin Ping’er held the first child, and Hao Baishuang helped cut the umbilical cord. Soon, the child let out a crying sound, albeit not very loud due to his premature birth, somewhat like the mewing of a cat.

”It’s a boy!” Lin Ping’er excitedly announced. She was genuinely happy for Yu Hongxiu. Now, Xie Dun had a successor, and the Xie Family relatives could no longer interfere with his issue of having descendants.

Yu Hongxiu couldn’t bring herself to look at her son. She was still in severe pain; there was another baby yet to be born inside her.

This time, she couldn’t help but scream out in pain. From outside, hearing her scream sent chills down Jiang Yichun’s spine. The door was slightly open, and through the gap, he could see Xie Dun’s silhouette. Jiang Yichun started to blame himself. Bai Ruozhu was also present during childbirth, but he didn’t know he was her husband back then, so he didn’t go and hold her hand to comfort her.

He originally envied Yu Hongxiu because she was about to have twins, but seeing how painful it was for Yu Hongxiu, he prayed that his lady would not have to bear twins, so she wouldn’t have to endure the tiredness of pregnancy or the pain of childbirth.

Once the first baby was born, the second one usually came out more smoothly. After a while, the cry of the second baby filled the room; another little treasure had been born!

”Another boy! Xie Dun, you won’t have to worry about not having a son now!” Lin Ping’er, who had sharp eyes, announced cheerfully after seeing clearly.

Bai Ruozhu held the second child, letting Hao Baishuang cut the umbilical cord. She had just relaxed when suddenly she felt a chilling sensation on her back. Goosebumps erupted on her neck. She was holding a fragile newborn baby and couldn’t move abruptly. Her mother screamed near her.

The next second, she felt a pang in her lower back, as if something had plunged into her body...
