Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

The five bulletproof trucks drove in the direction of the desert. They arrived at the Army Aviation’s helicopter landing point around noon in the day. They took the helicopter first before driving to the desert. They had just entered the edge of the desert.

The rough sand and gravel covered the hard soil. It was a desert scenery. It was rough and desolate. The dry surface was blown up by the sandstorm.

There were very few people around. Most of the soldiers in the military unit went for outdoor training. It was rare for people to come here to take photos. Now, the person was even chasing after their vehicles. Out of the vigilance of a professional soldier, Xia Jinyuan immediately ordered the members of the fifth vehicle to go and take a look.

If it were an ordinary cameraman, they would ask the person to leave. If it were a fellow with ulterior motives, the person would be sent to prison for ten days to half a month before being interrogated.

The members of the fifth vehicle received Xia Jinyuan’s order and immediately replied, ”Roger that. Target locked. The fifth vehicle will turn right and leave the team.”

”Roger!”

The fifth bulletproof military truck turned right at a mountain fork and headed toward the target they had locked onto.

Ye Jian, who was in a deep sleep, didn’t know what was going on. She had been tired enough these few days. There was such a huge energy-consuming scene in the day. She couldn’t stand it anymore. Although the desert scenery was spectacular, she was sleeping soundly as the truck swayed.

After the fifth truck left, the other trucks stopped to replenish their fuel. Ye Jian, who was hugging her gun while sleeping, suddenly woke up. Her first reaction was to jump up from her seat and ask in a low voice, ”Why did we stop?”

”Someone is chasing after our trucks and taking photos secretly. The fifth truck drove over to take a look.” Xia Jinyuan pulled the handbrake and saw that her helmet was tilted to the side. There was even a sleeping mark on her left cheek. He couldn’t help but smile. He reached out and helped her adjust her helmet. ”Did you sleep well? You didn’t sleep for long. It’s not a big deal. It can be solved quickly.”

Ye Jian immediately snuggled back into her seat. She yawned and stretched out her hands and legs. She smiled and said, ”I’m not sleeping anymore. I’ve been sleeping for a few hours. Let’s get off the truck and look at the beautiful scenery of the desert.”

”Okay, let’s get down and move around.”

Xia Jinyuan nodded at what she said. The love in his eyes was so great that Ye Jian didn’t dare to look at him directly. She even reminded him softly, ”Captain Xia, don’t… look at me like that. I’ve drawn enough hatred today. If this continues, I’m really worried that I won’t be able to cover you.”

Xia Jinyuan, who had already pushed open the door and was about to get out, sat back down and leaned toward Ye Jian. His skills were too good. Every move was completed quickly and fiercely. Ye Jian was so shocked that she thought that he wanted to do something in the car. She hid in the corner.

Xia Jinyuan didn’t let her dodge. He unbuckled her seatbelt and raised his hand. He pinched the tip of her nose and said arrogantly, ”I’ll cover you.”

Xia Jinyuan was very arrogant.

”Don’t think too much. I know what I’m doing.” He pinched the tip of her nose and patted her helmet. The young lieutenant colonel pushed open the door and got out with a kick.

Ye Jian pursed her lips and smiled when she saw the change in his gaze. She got down from the compartment too.

She wouldn’t tell him that just now, when he got out of the car handsomely, she was electrified. It was fine as long as she knew and was secretly happy in her heart.

At this moment, the sun had already set on the mountaintop. Only half of it was visible. With the other half as the center, large amounts of golden sunlight dyed the place, but the range of illumination was limited. The sky around them was already darkening.

Ye Jian, who was leaning against the front of the truck, opened the military canteen and drank a few mouthfuls of the snow water from the river. The cold water seemed to have the fragrance of snow, making her feel refreshed when drinking it.
